tight track, sorry for all those haters man. you got skills, Music productions evolving not to just be available to the small group of classically trained kids but for anyone that has a good idea . keep up the good work.
Alotta people are retarded. You can do what ever you want with this workstation. None of the people out there hating on samplers realize that every single soudn or wave file inside your synth workstatin is a sample. The only difference is that the ones available anyone who buys the workstation can have the same sounds. When you sample only a few people out there are using the samples creatively to create new music. Besides why live in a box when the world is so wide open....
This is the lowest form of music, barely can call it that even.
I`m not even that accomplished technique wise as a piano and overall keyboard player, but I can play a song by Journey, Elton John or Billy Joel. That would be playing music on an instrument like this. I have the X7, XP80&30, and a Motif ES7 btw. I know the quality of sounds all these have. I agree with the other guys comment ...what a waste. Creativity is not in sampling and pushing keys to trigger them. It`s not a musician.

this is funny i have a friend of mine that his beats sound like shyt and he tells me all time hes making his own drum library with his own sounds i was like where did u record the drums from lol cuz he got no drums or shit just samples.and after 4 weeks of me teaching him how to use reason he called me and asked me if i had any session so he could master it now he think he knows how to do mastering lol.
tight beat bro. people need to quit hating on original beatz cause thats true creativity. but how do u sample like that on the fantom? i havent used mine for that yet
truthfully sampling other ppls music is easier 2 do.but every machine give u a variey of sounds 2 choose from. so creatin your own stlye of music is a headache art.sampling is pure laziness, and if you bought that high priced fantom 2 sample other ppls music. u got 2 be out you freakin mind. so nikkas its better 2 do your own stlye of original music.
i agree with i55music sampling isnt worth it unless it sounds real crazy, but makin ur own music with sounds dat come out da phantom shouldnt be dat hstf
Do not misunderstand my grammar in the previous post. I was simply making fun of the grammar of those posting on this video. I find ebonics in type to be quite amusing. It only furthers the degrade of the human intellect. Why iz da ppl in dis vid typin lik dis.
oh lol thats because u have a bunch of damn kids and a bunch of motherfuckers lacking basic education and skills. ebonics in certain settings is ok but only if the point of what ur saying is to be understood by the other party. u have to be able to turn it on and off for universal communication purposes
I thinks sampling is ok but..i and say but if thats ALL you do as far as being a musician then you really cant call your self a musician. But to hip hop right now if it sounds good its music you feel me..thats the mentality now with music..So more people will look at sampling like somethin amazing because it sounds good. but you cant forget hip hop was built off sampling first. to each its own you know
and oh don't take offense think i'm talkin bad..i'm gettin da Fantom X8..da beat is nice..my point i just hate when a person sample on one song and then the other 5,200 beats in they collection they done created are based around samples as well! keep up the work! do yo thang..just stay unique and explore orginality too
i think people do really have a issue with coming up with pure original beats on their own..they follow the crowd..dats why i love RZA..all original..beats unique. its like once a person start sampling thats all they do..cuz thnk bout it..u listen to the sample and u atomatically hear da beat in yo..a five year old could do dat! starting from scratch anyone? folks too dayum lazy to do dat cuz its work!!! and they know that! i'm female and make neo-soul beats...don't get stuck ina rut! be unique!

Sampling is alot more fun, and its harder than it looks.
People rely too much on samplers today. You really want to test your own skills.., take a step away from the sampler and create something from scratch. So many people today just sample someone elses work, slice/chop it up, add a few things and call it their own, when 90% of the beat is already there in the original sample. I agree with another poster. I don't think you realize the powerhouse synth you got there as people often buy these things and 95% of the time just use them as samplers.
What a waste of a synth. Do you realise the power that is actually in these synths? You'd be better off with something like Ableton or Reason for sample based stuff. You're using this synth in such a basic form it's ridiculous.
naw..what your sayin is kinda ridiculous. sorry guys but i hate when others tell me what to do and what not to do. He got dis machine n he can do whateva he wants wittit know what im sayin? n yall is like 'wut?! u got a mpc n you play the drums only?! you dont sample?! thats ridiculous mayn'

hey nice vid, i was wondering, i have a fantom x and i saw a vid were MDL played his motif into cubase and was able to use the piano roll editor to sequence notes from the motif in cubase, and i was wondering if that was possible in FL Studio? i know you can import a wave into fruity but i was wondering if it was possible to edit the actual midi notes with the fantom patches like he did with his motif?
yea you can there is something call the fruity slicer. you should get something like cool edit pro to find and truncate your loops. then import in to Fl then throw it in 2 tha slicer. then you choose to auto slice or manually slice.
Yea, thanks but i think theres and even easier way to do it someone was telling me about a fantom x6 dashboard for fruity loops i just have to find where to get one. but thanks for your help.

Its not that people rely on samples, thats just what I like to do.
Coming up with something from scratch isnt hard, however there's just more fun to making beats when you sample.
Sampling is a skill, but evolves into an art that few can mimic.
Whether you are using a sample from back in the day or a synth on the Fantom, they're both Samples.
So it doesnt matter what sound you use, but how you use it. And then, YES it will be your own.
100% of the music people create came from somewhere..
