  • Kashmir better than Jimmy Page live. Much more consistent!

  • God Joe you really can't sing. lolol good player though,

  • Carmine Rojas is an absolute BEAST!

  • Anyone that dislikes this song has no soul..period

  • I love Joe Bonamassa. I think he is one of the greatest guitar player of the last 20 years. However, I am sorry to say but vocally speaking he is really mediocre....in some case quite bad actually. Anyway, we can live with that becasue the way he plays guitar is just f....... BRILLIANT!!

  • Haha :L He is so awesome! It's nice to see a person of his talent and stature enjoying himself rather than just monotonously playing off riffs. Great guitarist, singer and personality x

  • Love love love Joe!!!

  • why did he do that at 0:52? sounded kind of weird to me.

  • @NickW0608

    it sounds fine to me

  • there was a clear deep purple riff in the song and he did that on purpose.I believe nobody's perfect....

  • @gumbyonacid Perfect Strangers riff.

  • @gumbyonacid

It's from "Perfect Strangers" by Deep Purple. An awesome Richie Blackmore tune.

  • @MrBluesrules I'm real sure that Joe wrote this song!

  • @Fenstrat62

I realize that, But listen to perfect strangers and you'll hear the same music.

  • @Fenstrat62

At 3:10 of the song IS Deep Purple

  • Love the bridge at 2.48 :)

  • I think I like this song slower than this particular version. This is one of those tunes, the slower you play it, the more swagger and attitude it has; especially with the straight ahead drum groove kickin'.

  • Like to see Bonamassa jam with Derek Trucks...

  • one persin cant find the bridge to better days thus he has to walk

  • I think Joe is one of the best musicians I have ever seen, or heard...he is very unique and I am glad he keeps playing and likes too obviously!!!

  • love the perfect stranger part

  • from what song is this piece it sound kinda like zeppelin. 3:10-3:25

  • @hbblom Dazed and Confused.

  • @hbblom

    kashmir led zep

  • @tiny789 it's not kashmir. just sounds like it.

  • @LedZeppelinisgod100

no sorry the chord sequence is the same

sorry its kashmir show me the difference please

  • @tiny789 just because the chord sequence is the same, it's not the same song.

there are plenty of songs that go A, G, D....but theyre not the same song.

if anything, it sounds like the uptempo section of "All Of My Love." by Zep. around 2:06 of All Of My Love.

  • @LedZeppelinisgod100

my ears say its kashmir its no prob though just a fantastic song

  • I love you JB< you are awesome!

  • HE REMINDS ME OF GARY MOORE.....GREAT GUITAR PLAYER

  • @andres22002 That's because Joe was allways into the british blues artist when growing up. Gary being one of his idols... or so I've heard. Check out the band Porcupine tree if youre into that type of sound.

  • Love him!!!

  • he turned a blues-rock small bar tune into a epic blues-rock stadium anthem.

yet, he still maintains an honesty in his playing that is SO GOOD.

    JB IS A GOD!!!!!!

  • Go Get Em Killer!!! See ya on the Road.. Peace, D

  • JOE IS MY HERO

  • Love the Deep Purple sample!

  • stick to boyzone

  • go back to listening to Milli Vanlli

  • this guy is genius, opened for B B King at 12 years old !!! UNreal but happened ! right now GOT my merlot n' ready to chill man !

  • I know Sammy, what a great acheivment.

BB KING!!!! Your right "Genius" no doubt about it!!!

  • He's bb king on crack.

  • awesome!!

  • the man is BAD,,,Stevie Ray Vaugjhan's protege...

  • Just a response to jelledk..........he was playing SRV at NINE.

  • Oh, and CarvinTone...........that Jeff Beck DVD is the bomb!!!

  • Wow, anyone notice the Deep Purple riffs and ZZ-top licks? Pretty cool. And to all those dumping on the guy...........go see him live!!!

  • Just started listening to Bonamassa, that John Henry tune is some great tone. The most exicting blues player since SRV, Clapton bores me, I am a Jeff Beck fan of jazz fusion and a player myself for many years. I listen a lot to Satch and Vai, Joe B, has the blues thing goin on and some great tone, full on gear head, Lets hope he does not drug or drink himself out and bring us some more killer music! I am ordering his new DVD. By the way Jeff Beck...live at Ronnie Scotts, DVD, get it!!!

  • Saw him in Belfast last night.......great player...great show.

  • Boy, Joe lets us know and feel the power of music. Joe just alters my state of conciousness daily as I submit myself to his innoculations of the blues on youtube. After listening to Joe play, other guitar players finally come to the place of putting their guitars up in the corner of the room somewhere and laying it to rest for a while, so they can just sit back and relax and watch the King of the strings show us all how it ought to be done. He is infused with a musical magnitude so great.

  • im going to see his show in israel in two weeks :)))

  • god what i would give to just play through his setup for just a few minutes......soooo much nice stuff, though he has worked hard to get to where he is and totally deserves all of it...unlike most new pop "music"

  • He's a great guitarist but give me some Robben Ford anytime!

  • great song

  • little machine gun esc? no?

  • Joe fucking rocks.

  • kashmir..........hhhhhmmmmm.......zeppelin are obviously a big influence on this guy,i see what you mean though.....check out the ballad of john henry for some more zeppelinesque moments

  • Actually, as someone else pointed below, the riff in the middle is the exact cover of Deep Purple's "Perfect Strangers", which can be seen as a Deep Purple's reinterpretation of "Kashmir".

  • I Perfect ly agreee!!!

  • the bridge reminds me of kashmir

  • They're doing it a little too fast he can barely keep up with the lyrics

  • Blues purists are drowning the blues. I love the blues as much as any of them.... I'm just not scared of pushing the boundaries. Hearing a 1-4-5 blues or a shuffle is amazing, but when it's every single song it gets a little boring. That's why I continue to go see Joe Bonamassa in concert. Joe is my biggest influence on guitar and I'm proud to say that. He's as blues influenced as anybody out there... and he changes it up.... that's why he's going to be remembered

  • I agree completely, you got that right!

  • I hear ya claptonhendrix1, you should really checkout the modern blues duo The Black Keys, very cool bluesy stuff that is diff. blues from what we typically identify with blues. Bonamassa's obviously great as well.

  • Oh yeah! The Black Keys are one my favorite bands! My band does a slower cover of "When the Lights Go Out" you should check it out :P . Also, Ryan McGarvey and Davy Knowles are well worth checking out.

  • Now ME.First time i listened to this man, I thought now this man can play MMMM,Wounder what he and say ALEX LIFESON or even NEIL YOUNG,Sounds good to me.

  • Love that Perfect Strangers riff in the middle... Cool!

  • i saw him last year. even though he looks different he has the exact same stage prescence

  • Forgive me, I've commented before.

But, this guy... he's got all the right qualities: talent, a blues soul, technical expertise, and -- best of all -- a gorgeous sense of electric guitar possibilities.

    Adore him.

  • Joe's a very talented guitarist and preformer. As a guitarist myself whos been playing for over 30 yrs I dont understand why the He's better than / this guy can outplay mindset that comes out. Every guitarist has licks that his own and nothing is 100% original under the sun. Hopefully every guitarist plays to the best of the capacity for the gift they have to play. Its like having a contest on who breathes better. Just play the guitar and shhhhhhhh.

  • Fucking hell, your English is bad...

  • And your language is even worse. Not a very intelligent response. I believe my professor stated one time that cursing in a strong attempt of a weak mind trying to express itself.

  • Don't use big words like "intelligent", and "professor", and "in"! You could cause some serious damage here using language like that!

  • fuck shit damn piss

  • Point Proven. Got to love small minds

  • Joe is just getting better all the time

  • Yes. He teaches that Gibson Les Paul a lesson or two.

Yikes, he's such a fine player.

  • 4.00 - 4.02 - wtf?:D

  • hahahaha

  • @Stratolespaul80 hahahaha......what was he doing? haha i'm sure i made that same face when i was joe bonamassa's concert back in october :)

  • @FandersFanclub hahahahahahaha brilliant

  • @FandersFanclub LMAO right?!?!

  • is that kashmir in the bridge?

  • Yeah, I think so .... :)

  • No that bridge is from the title track from Perfect Strangers by Deep Purple.

  • As grandma told me: If you haven't got anything good to say then keep it to yourself. In other words: If people stopped arguing over nothing this world would be a nicer place to live. Great drummer, by the way!

  • The term "good" changes from person to person, meaning the statement is flawed to begin with, as it states there is a concensus of what is "good" and what is "bad". That is dictatorship, rather than allowing free speech and it is also fear of being convinced of something you haven't dared think may be better than what you've learned to like.

No offence to your grandma, just saying ;)

  • Really need to be rid of that keyboard though.

  • Like the Perfect Strangers interlude. Cool song. :)

  • Great Guitarist!

  • best guitarist in the world = fall out boy!

You guys are so easy to work up in a little frenzy over widdly widdly guitar heroes..who gives a fuck, when it comes down to it only thing that matters is good music and well...the only good JB I know of is Jeff Beck..so suck my balls

  • Honestly i think comparing guitar players is gay. For the sake of argument though, my opinion is based upon the fact jb isnt rootsy as many of his fans claim he is. He's too much of a shredder for that. i think jm has more merit because he uses his influences but can stay relevant in many genres and write some good songs, has a great voice and has that sneer about his personality..that edge that jb doesnt have. i find someone trying to recreate Jeff beck ala 1969-1971 pretty lame.

  • firsly you said that comparing guitar players is gay but then you offered your opinion saying which one has more merit, c'mon ...

As i've said many times, there are no "best guitar players" or "worst guitar players" its just a personal opinion of every single person.

  • @Stratolespaul80 Cos he said, for the sake of argument though.

  • I don't mean to give off the wrong impression. I'm not one of those homers that won't respect anything negative about their favorite guitar player. I just want to express my opinion. I totally respect Mayer. I just don't think that Joe is a complete rip off of Jeff Beck. Listen to one of his songs like Mountain Time (live) or Woke Up Dreaming. It's all different. Just listen to some more man.

  • @RNRDOLL

    my god you're a spastic

  • @RNRDOLL

Although I do enjoy J. Mayer's take on the blues, if you're going to say Bonamassa is some guy trying to recreate Jeff Beck 69-71, then you need to say Mayer is trying to recreate SRV. And if you had actually listened to Joe's albums, you'd hear a wide range of influences. In his first three albums, I find it very hard to hear any real Beck influence (even on his Beck cover of Blues Deluxe). I've always heard more Stevie than anyone else, at least in the beginning. But to each his own

  • It was this year?

  • saw him at BB Kings Blues Club in NYC about 3 weeks ago....he is unreal.....great show....at the level of Stevie/Jimi and Jimmy....he killed it

  • I was there and it was just fucking awesome.... JM, is he a member of Boyzone?

  • Saw him live recently and this song was one of the highlights of the evening! But of course Sloe Gin topped it off, along with his amazing use of the theremin.

  • i just cought something. at an angle, the drummer almost looks like dave matthews

  • I don't know why, in this kind of expression I don't like keyboards. Trio sound for me is better.

    Fantastic Joe and song !

  • is it me or is he struggling to sing some of the notes in this song i hate 2 critic but he defiantly is struggling at times...either way i love joe hes pretty amazing.

  • I noticed that too. He was probably hoarse that night. Happens to a lot of singers on tour. His Les Paul Gibson was certainly in tune.

  • yea, but idk, it makes the song sound still great nonetheless i think, almost adding to the emotion of it as it fits the song as its about how he is heading towards better days, as is his voice haha, great song, love joe's work as a musician

  • Best ever! I liked when they played the slower beginning and the other way Joe used to sing it.

  • I like JB and I like JM, depends on what mood I'm in as to which to listen to. I also like Pat Travers, Robin Trower, Eric Sardinas, and Joe Satriani. They're all great, and they all have their own sound.

  • have you listened to Aynsley Lister Quadgirl? A young up and coming English guy, with his own sound?

  • oh come on guys don't fight trying to proove that one artist are better than the other.

they have very different qualitys, and you better like them for what they do, insted of trying to cut JM, og JB down.

Some people like JM's guitar playing and voice, and some people like JB's guitarplaying.

that's it! respect others and your own mean!

    Rasmus

  • i dont thing that mayer is a better guitar player than bonamassa (im not saying that bonamassa is better),for me bonamassa keeps more his blues roots than mayer does, but anyway, both are great and i think that comparing great guitar players to say who is better is a stupidity.

  • It's ok to say Bonamassa is better because you're right! Thank you!

  • Yeah DaiMer82 is right John Mayer is way better than Bonamassa. A way better musician who has kept his blues roots and would never dream of selling out. Mayer is just sooooo awesome - thanks for reminding us all you utter FUCKWIT. Please die of some horrible cancerous disease whilst listening to Mayer and anyone else who writes truly horrible music and classifies themselves as a blues musician.

  • How could you say John Mayer kept his blues roots???? What are you 12????

My dear god....only people who play JM music is just trying to get into some girls' skirt you pussy licker!

Give me a fucking break....JB is way better AND trying his hardest to keep the blues alive you 12 year old boy.

  • the best guitarrist of this generation is what many guitars magazines said, and i complete agree with that. Thanx for the comment

  • Mayer destroyes Bonamassa both vocally and as a guitarplayer.

  • hahahahha,,,whatever dude!

Here's another 12 year old boy who doesn't freaking understand music...

Yea, JM may have better voice and may be prettier shirt...that's about it!

  • Actually, I'm 26 and have been playing the guitar my whole life. You're simply living a lie.

  • no he just has his opinion, and you have yours so leave it at that. MY opinion is that Bonamassa is much better

  • MY opinion is that your opinion is not valid.

JM is god. End of story.

  • okay whatever you think. Your not really helping the image of john Mayer by being a prick about it. JM is good, JB is better, but it doesn't matter. Let's just listen to the music

  • No, JB is good, but JM is better. He's the next SRV.

  • I'm not going to argue

  • Of course not, you don't have a leg to stand on.

  • You think JM is god? Get your head out of your ass! LOL!!

  • You think he's not? Get your ass out of your head! LOL!!

  • JM at least has personality and much better 'songs'. JB makes kinda cheesy cliche wanna be early 70s songs. Gotta give it up hes a great player though, but no personality at all so in turn it makes him pretty boring. JM has the better voice as well.

  • I will agree, that JM's blues stuff is OK, but that is the keyword, it is only mediocre. JB is infinitely better than him, singing and playing

  • ehh, singing both men have different voices and great stage pressence as well as good voices, i think that Mayer, who i assume you are talking about when you say JM, is a great guitarist, but Bonamassa is in my opinion the blues guitarist of this day and age, nobody really comes close to him on the modern blues scene, he will go down as an all time great

  • It's funny that you say that JOE is cheesy... "Your body Is a Wonderland" lol. I respect Mayer, but he is NOT a serious guitar player. Good yes.... but he's not bringing anything new to the table.

I would like to see you say that Joe has no personality after you see one of his shows. I don't want to argue, but I mean there is really no comparison.

  • meh, not a serious guitar player..and what defines that..YOU? Joe doesnt bring anything 'new' either. He's basically just a plagiarizer of styles, JM is too in his guitar playing, but honestly, john gots some real songs. He's also got more personality besides his music, which is just as important. JB has no personality. I mean c'mon--can JB nail jessica simpson and jennifer aniston? not on his life. Case closed dude. Joe sounds like kermit the frog when he sings. BLAH

  • Dude, I don't want to argue but I don't think the measure of an artist is who they can "nail". I have met Joe and he has PLENTY of personality.. in fact he's a really funny guy. I said I respect Mayer.... I just think Joe is a more talented artist. 10 years down the road when the new generation of guitar players are getting on stage you will see who has impacted the music scene more... that is the measure of a true artist.

  • RNRDOLL get lost, Joe will slay you and Meyer

  • hqflav, get your mouth off your moms tit.

and i'll slay your girlfriend. HUEH

  • JM shouldn't be the next anything...he should strive to be the one and only John Mayer.

  • hahaha john mayer should aspire to be as good as joe

  • cant agree more....joe has a kermit the fog voice.

  • That's frog not fog

  • so that makes them all right..a bunch of rock nerd critics are the arbiters of whos hot and whos not based on how fast someone can jerk off a blues scale for 10 minutes basically. guitar players like george harrison or bb king and chuck berry are always gonna be kings, because of their economy and musicality. Not some punk ass boring jeff beck/eric johnson ripoff with no personality.yeah we need another wank job from the northeast who thinks he's got the blues-Banana republic ran outta khaki's?!

  • he dosnt overplay he has fun so he solo's to show skill instead of what speed rockers do they use one string

  • oh man no way joe kicks mayer's ass.... delete what you wrote please...

  • sorry man i cant do that. i believe every word i wrote.

  • Bonamassa's music touches me personally more but generally speaking everyone must admit that both of them are fantastic guitarists. and it's ok to have different opinions, otherwise it'd be boring wouldn't it?=)

  • Yeah guys, listen to rnrdoll. You have to be black, poor, shot, and work on a plantation to play blues.

Fuck off. I'm tired of you biased racist fucks saying who can play what based on where they lived and how much money they have.

  • i agree, except that the Chinese can't play the blues. Chinese blues is the worse wannabee crap. Japanese or Korean = ok.... Chinese = NO WAY!

  • Such an amazing song. Joe is the best guitarist out there
