The fact that some internal business units of a company don't even talk to each other (and often don't respect each other at all) is true in my experience for several large organisations in Germany. It always lead to a war against Red Monkeys (good ideas) and the Red Monkey Breeders left because it wasn't fun to work anymore or they were hunted down and killed (fired). Now their numbers are red because they only cut the costs and forgot to develop new products...
