awesome review, just pleaaaaaase stop saying umm all the time....i used to do that but now i dont, how?just ask a friend to raise his hands when u say that and after 2 seconds u will stop it.please dont misunderstand me its just advice......
I have just posted a video asking people what there favourite cards are, it prompted me to purchase some red tally ho fan backs. And david blaine split spade lion cards
A. Dougherty or correctly Andrew Dougherty was the original manufacturer of Tally Ho brand cards, before the company was merged with NY Consolidated Card Company(original makers of Bee and Squeezers brand cards). The company then was known as the consolidated-dougherty card company. Eventually the company was swallowed up in the 1930's by the US Playing Card Company.
i just hope bicycle's are not like the "crap" cards..at least better than any other cards beside's maybe tally-ho's because im getting a pair next week and this videos kinda let me down a bit lol :P still i don't mind good cards you got there :D
i thought the A. Doughety was the name of the maker, or the founder so somehting like that. i hate it when people call the fan back a star back. its annoying. because of some1 thinking its called star back i ended up with circle backs even tho i asked for fan back.
i think you should do some research... these decks are definitely on a level higher than the bicycle deck... they are not of the same stock... you even mentioned the air-cushion finish... so here's the thing... bicycle does have the air-cushion finish, but read the tally-ho box and you see that these are linoid finish... same finish as david blaine's split spades... these cards are definitely better than bikes
I personabley prefer the fan backs, there design is cooler and Ironically enough... when the deck ages, it looks so cool and just like the bicycle decks, there are three stages to the deck 1:thebeginning when its not broken-in and just looks cool cause its new,2:You finally broke in the deck and the fan becomes smoother and you don't feel that snap and 3: when the deck is fairly worn but because it is so aged, it brings out the design. I would consider these when perchising fan backs THEY RULE!!
2 things on the bee ace it says consolidated dougherty and in reguards as to where to get tallys offline i was just at a te amo and they had a deck just sitting there on the shelf and i have been looking for them for quite a while and if i remember correctly they cost 3.99 plus tax
Idd they are very nice. got LOADS of them myself. Well because you like holding them in you're hand is because Ellusionist or whoever creates them, uses the new UV500 technologi. In other words; They are better too hold in you're hands that usual playing cards.
Dose anybody know if they still sell the tally-ho's on ellusionist . c0m becouse, when you go to there website, they are only selling the black ones, call the tally-ho viper, and i want the blue or red ones, any help would be greatley appreciated!!!!
The wynns are better for flourishes, when you take them out of the box, you have to break them in cause when you take it out of the box, then fan pretty chunky
Fantastic review but actually, and I was surprized about this, They are made of the same finish! I was surprised to here that too but its true and I think its all in th mind when you get a telly-ho but are 100% right on the misilined backs for bikes. IT SUCKS WHEN YOU GET THOSE KIND OF CARDS
Tally Ho Fan Back red,and blue, Bicycle red and blue are the only cards I will ever use. Personally, I would never use any Bicycle Ghost, Bicycle Black Tiger, Tally Ho Vipers or Bicycle 1800's Edition decks. I like to use normal red/blue cards. This is because I once used A Black Tiger deck, and people thought it was a trick deck of cards. To me style isn't important and will save you lots of money.
Linoid is like linen. I think it's a combination of plastic and linen, so its basically the better of the bicycle and the better of the Stud brand name combined.
they hate them. Just read the review for the Masters deck on ellusionist. There they show their hate for it. These are easily the best decks i've ever handled
sure check this place out: karwell dot com waaay better than ellusionist. for your info, stick to cards other than ellusionist decks...you'll see that they're far inferior to tallys, arrco Us reg. You'll see when you get to kardwell. You could also try Batteriesandbutter dot com and filmart dot com. Ellusionist is also more expensive
do you know any stores or anything not offline like a wal-mart or something like that where they would sell them because tally-ho's are sometimes considered standard decks, and I can't find them anywhere but online
it really depends on where you live i assume, because if you live in cali/nevada (area) you'll probably find it common there, due too casinos or something i don't know but u cant find em in texas for sure haha i would know
no it's not common in california nor nevada, i know because I live there and no there are not a lot of casinos...sheesh...stereotypes...i dont know of any places that would sell them besides kardwell, ellusionist (ugh..barf too expensive you got ripped off), or a magic shop if you can find a high quality one. remember batteriesandbutter dot com and filmart dot com they're a bit cheaper. For a reference on this check out the forums on decknique dot net at playing card products section
hey pal i like you so here's a word of advice. Don't buy ellusionist decks. NO matter how cool they seem they're nothing compared to the real decks they mimic.
