The thing with crysis is that it's an open world. That's much harder to do than Killzone's small environments. The only problem is that crysis is a bad game. Killzone actually looks pretty fun, and I liked your review it's actually pretty fair and well thought out.

It may be open world but it's a jungle. It's easy to make plants look good but to make their own world and creation look that good. Damn. And if you liked this review then just wait until I post the FULL review in a couple of weeks.

European PSN account - Create an account like normal, except say you're from somewhere in Europe. (I used England, I think).

Japanese PSN account - Same thing, but you've gotta create it in Japanese. There's plenty of step-by-step tutorials online. It's simple enough.

The service is free which is a plus but it's not as smooth and functional as XBL. If you have a modem already setup then you can use an ethernet cable or if you have a wireless signal you can just "piggyback" on that signal because the PS3 has built in wireless unlike the 360. Hope that answers your question.

you know that devs make games that are too demanding for consoles. it has been happening since the ps2, and in my opinion is unacceptable.

on pc you can have a compatibility with certain hardware configs, like acertain motherboard and a certain GPU not liking a certain game, but every console is the same, so issues like this should be minimal, but they sem to be cropping up more and more, right?

im not talking about THIS game, but games in general. people are more concerned with graphics, right?

Some people prefer graphics. I prefer that the graphics and gameplay are good or decent graphics and excellent gameplay.

of the two, graphics and gameplay, i prefer gameplay to be top notch, and standard graphics. the game will still look great, but will play better too.

like crysis; looked awesome, but gameplay was substandard, which pissed me off. far cry was awesome, until you got to the trigens anyway, and the graphics were still groundbreaking. crytek just care now about graphics.

valve have a 4 year old graphics engine but make great games

"hardly any framerate issues". on a console there should be NO framerate issues, ever.

this is one of the reasons people would buy a console. framerate issues are for hardware that cant cope with a game, and with all consoles having the same hardware config, all games should run perfectly, as the devs know how to optimise for the hardware.

they do this to show off graphics rather than gameplay. to me, gameplay is the most important.

It's more complicated than that. Developers almost never know exactly what the hardware can d since they didn't make it. Usually when there are framerate issues when the coding is bad or they do something the console is slow to register. Killzone 2 looks that good and there is no problem with framerate. That proves that the PS3 is a beastly console.

but they dont have the compatability issues they have with pc. they KNOW what the hardware is capable of, because everyone has the same hardware. the fact is that it is either bad coding, which is just from hurried development (normally of a franchise, like GTA 4, which was bugged on every format), or they push the hardware too far. this doesnt happen on pc, because it is NORMALLY because the system specs are too high for your machine, and upgrades will solve it. they are the probs i mean
