Adeliene is probably human but as you can see she does live on Popstar. Her kind may have originally lived on Earth but they had to leave because humanity created the HR-H AI Program which went amok and caused a neclear winter redering Earth uninhabitable. Adeliene and the similar character Ado may even be the last of their kind.  Kind of sad when you think about it.

I remember reading Nintendo was careful about it's cultural impact in America, which is why THEY didn't do horror or mature themed games. However, I seem to be yet an other guy who finds Kirby games creepy. The same kind of creepy as people who are afraid of clowns I think (although I'm not afraid of them).

Just look at the planet in the galaxy, it has the Earth continents but full of ice. There is a lot of technollogy and animal experiments in different stages.

Shiver star is Earth in the deep freeze of nuclear winter after a robot uprising. That's why Shiver Star seems so much like our planet (but colder). That's why there are crazy robots all over the place and the factory boss attacks you as soon as you show up. Think about it.

ahhhh, the memories come flowing back. This boss was a prick when I was younger and didn't know what I was doing. So many missiles...those scissors didn't help much either.

Back when i had a N64, i had this game and i loved it. I have even collected all the shards later on to battle 02 and hear that awsome music...

too bad my parents made me sell the N64 in order to get a wii... I've been regretting it ever since... T_T

This game is what made me love Kirby the most... out of all the others, it was just a masterpiece...

It's amazing how many dark undertones there are in the Kirby series. This track is an example of that, along with (of course) the final boss. The back of the box claims this is Santa's Factory. Listening to that song...I know that's not what this place is. The balance of sunshine and dark themes in Kirby is a big part of why the series is so good!
