Impossible for anyone to get that job, you will have to be one of "bettman's guys" to land that. why arent the refs making the calls?

but i bet the guys who are working in the war room aren't hockeyfans at all... i mean you have to be neutral

They're wrong, they're not making sure rules are followed, and they aren't watching for bad or missed calls. Never has a referee been overturned for a bad call, and never have they been reprimanded on a missed call.

The do look for rules being followed. They inform referres after or in between periods of trends they say and to keep an eye out for it. like lets say there are a lot of traffic around they net, and the refs keep missing elbows, the war room can tell them to keep an eye out for it.
