Lovely setup on a budget!

The next best thing after Multi-monitor and TrackIR is voice control.

I use something called "Multi Crew Experience" (for which a free fully working Demo is available). I can talk to a virtual co-pilot and to ATC controllers too.

Al you need is a headset with microphone to check it out LOL

the throttles are at your RIGHT HAND and the control column on the LEFT!!!

Indeed, I realize fighter jets, et al, are the other way around, but NOT when you're in the left seat of a passenger, corporate, or GA aircraft........ARGH!!!

U dont even need a joystick with the PMDG 747 or much in real life either. It is mostly automated, the pilots only need it for taxiing, pulling up for takeoff and for landing (if not a CATIII)

@vobotix That's partially true. I'm speaking from the real-world perspective of hands-on flying from the left seat orienting youe sim controls in a likewise fashion. I find that as a pilot in the real world, this is the same manner I wish to have my flightsim controls set up also for the segments of flight that are NOT being handled via automation. I use flightsim for brushing up on my recur. training, and having the controls in the correct orientation helps a lot!! ;-)

Is this a ghost flight? There is no crew, only empty seats. Can't suspend disbelief when plane is being flown by ghosts. Why do you have wipers on during a sunny day? Lose the bezels between the monitors, the bezels kill it.

staxx1337, when you spool up you don't go all the way straight away, you go like 50-60% thrust till engines have all set to the required thrust, when you got the 50-60% thrust up and engines look good on instruments then you max forward to Take Off Thrust ; )
