Haney tighter waist, bigger chest, thicker upper chest, arms and sweep in quads. Hands down winner. But the young Brit is way too hungry and a smart move for the champ to call it quits. As Dorian was a force to deal with. He took the BB to a level unseen. I love Dorian. I model my training after this guy. If the guy didn't have those injuries he would be 9-10x champ hands down.

That year Levrone had much better quads, conditioning, symmetry, as much quality muscle, better lines and he has the best shoulders in bodybuilding history. Dorian had more muscularity but not by all that much. Dorian's back was better. Dorian was the best in '93 and after but not '92! Dorian's in great shape now! World class guy by all accounts!

Only reason I can think of why they didn't give it to Dorian is that he was entering Mr. O for the first time here and the judges didn't have the balls to hand it to a newcomer. A good thing he got his victories a short time after, witch prove my point.

his conditioning and size was near perfect, I think what cost him the win was his routine, didn't flow well, nothing near Haney's. But if his routine would have been better, it would have been close.

While certainly Dorain got a few gifts during his competitive career when injuries and hgh gut bloat took his physique through hard times toward the end .Haney certainly received the most "gifts" of any other "champion" in history.Personally I have Yates winning here.Haney was beaten so many times (1990 anyone?)once he realize that the political machine was now behind Dorian and his golden boy status had come to a close he did the only thing he knew he could do jump ship

This was prior to his hooking up with the greatest mind in the history of bodybuilding, Mike Mentzer. With Mike's wisdom and Dorian's amazing work ethic, Mr. Yates went on to become the greatest bodybuilder of the 90's.
That said, 1997 should have gone to Nasser or Levrone. By that year Dorian's arm injuries were too noticeable and ugly. But that's just my opinion.

This was prior to his hooking up with the greatest mind in the history of bodybuilding, Mike Mentzer. With Mike's wisdom and Dorian's amazing work ethic, Mr. Yates went on to become the greatest bodybuilder of the 90's.
That said, 1997 should have gone to Nasser or Levrone. By that year Dorian's arm injuries were too noticeable and ugly. But that's just my opinion.
