  • Friedmanomics destroyed the united states and some of the idiots on here clamor for more. Weak pathetic corporate stooges, always praying and hoping the corporate master brings back our jobs. So we keep giving them gifts in the form of corporate tax breaks but the master says its not enough. Privatize your water and other public services and all your problems will go away! Ha, pathetic scum. And don't bother challenging me, I know I'm right and I have more better things to do than explain

  • Being an extremist. Or someone who disagrees with Obama. I can personally tell you I know they will come for me. NDAA and SOPA dictates that Obama can detain patriotic Americans forever with no trial. Do you really think they will detain political enemies? Did Mao? Did Stalin? Did Castro? Tell me the socialist leader who allowed political dissent in their administration. The American people are so stupid they don't understand what socialism is. Isn't that social networking on the internet?NAZI

  • What was Obama ever gonna do?

He was portrayed as a Messiah that would end racism, inequality and war and finally bring balance to the force.

Did we ever really expect this to be true?

He's a very good politician, but he's not great, and he certainly isn't the man to save planet Earth single-handed.

Poor bastard's done very well, considering the shit he's taken on.

  • She is such a weak fool

  • This woman is a Liberal provided other's are working hard for her liberty not to have to work. Pathetic.

  • Re the description to theis... the "progressive" movement has no poliitcal or intellectual integrity. They are complete and unmitigated disasters, provable throughout over 80 years of history.

  • Obama, Bush, Clinton.......they are all the same for jesus christ. Its a wall street government people what ever you vote its the same. wake up

  • Her last comment is personally revealing. She must have had many romantic disappointments in her life.

  • @RoboSlater I think this is a very romantic interview. I think Paul Jay like her.

  • A good point she makes (though she borrowed it from hundreds of others): the anti-war movement has disappeared with Obama's election, revealing its dishonesty, that it was never about being against war, but was intended to be anti-Bush and push the progressive agenda.

  • Just another pseudo liberal. Like she doesn't remember when Obama told the sheeple during his campaign that he will send more troops to Afghanistan. Is she unaware of the fact the huge amount of $ Wall St poured into his image making?

  • @rider4343 DITTO!!

  • This lady wants MORE obomination without oboma. A total pinhead.

  • The idea that America can fix the worlds ploblems let alone protect its own citizens is laughable at best, To understand any problem you have to go back to its genesis. We have a country who's legacy has been conceived upon extermination, stolen land, chattel slavery and countless wars up to the present day. You can dress up a pig any which way you like but changing the man in office makes not one bit of difference. Obama, Ron, Clinton or Bush etc... Wake up and smell the oil!

  • I say don't punish people for using fossil fuels in the meantime because poor people can't just go out and buy a new fuel cell powered car, and the poor are hurt the most by gasoline taxes. Same goes for electricity. If power plants are hit with cap and trade for emissions, the price of power goes up, and this increase in the price of electricity disproportionately hurts the poor, who must devote more of their pay to basic necessities such as gas and electricity.

  • 1:51 She overtly justifies lying to the people in order to acheive a goal. As far as environmentalism goes, I think the debate over climate change is a distraction from the real task, which is how to replace fossil fuels with an affordable alternative without punishing people for using fossil fuels before such an alternative is available.

  • her description of the left wing media machine follows exactly from how conservatives critique liberals - THE ENDS JUSTIFY THE MEANS mentality

  • Americans are always looking for one person to scapegoat for their laziness. You don't vote, nor demand policy, yet you claim Obama isn't doing anything. He's just one man, who is getting flack from republicans & democrats alike. I've always said that he's the new Fredrick Douglass taking over the failed Freedmen's Bank. After all of the 'experts' ran through the bank's money, they put Douglass in charge of the failing institution as the face of responsibility. A pawn to the elite.

  • @dan19beav74 Obama has done plenty the problem is so much of it was actually harmful to this country. every day he chases more and more jobs out of this country that is money that leaves our economy and gets invested in some other economy instead. thats why everyone is giving him flack democrats and republicans alike.

  • I think she has good points on foreign policy but I disagree with her on economics. I think Ron Paul is the best choice for the next president.

  • I double facepalmed and almost broke my own nose in the process.

  • she's a socialist whackjob, both her and obama

  • The biggest contributor to Obama's campaign -- the employees of Goldman Sachs. Nothing the man has done surprises me, I had low expectations to begin with.

  • Ron Paul would be worse for our country than Obama.

  • @racetoinfinity Why is peace worse than wars? Why is freedom worse than the police state we have now? Why is a reliable economy worse than trillions in debt? Why is the Nonaggression Principle worse than torture , the surveillance state, and the biggest population of citizens jailed on earth? Why is personal freedom worse than tyrannical drug wars and SWAT invasions of small farms and farmers who sell raw milk? Why are you afraid of peace and liberty? Why is honesty worse than lies?

  • No understanding of economics, but a good understanding of politics.

  • What a fool.

  • If I made love to this woman, our offspring would become the ruler of the planet.

  • Speak on it, Naomi!!!

  • I voted for Ron Paul.

Ron Paul bases ALL his votes in Congress on the Constitution. AND I actually TRUST him,... because HE ACTUALLY DOES THIS , again, & again, & again...

his voting record,...is 2nd to NONE.

his votes have been consistently Constitutional,....and to me, it's all the "talking" he'll ever need to do....to win my vote for him...... I'll support and vote for him or anyone who meets the ONLY Constitutional standard...... again, and again ,,.......

  • @sirTittytwister I agree with most of what I see Ron Paul say, myself. The sad truth of the matter, however, is that he will not save you. He can't.

People do not understand that the Republic has been damaged at a structural level now; more than any President, regardless of his motivations, has the ability to repair. There is a cabal now, and the President is there purely to fulfill their wishes. If he does not do that, they remove him.

  • @petrus4 ......Ron Paul already "saved" me,....he cured my apathy,... and he is a shining example, of what an honest man can and MUST do, in an enviroment drenched in corruption, lies, and insincerity,... our Government IS broken, I don't deny that at all,.... I am simply voting for a person whom I believe will serve us best,...... to simply my point further I going to say that after DECADES of LIARS, LIES, and DISHONESTY,....an HONEST MAN is very, very, easy to point out.

  • @petrus4 Perhaps not one president has the ability to do that but Ron Paul's explosive popularity in 2007 has led to a growing contingent of pro-republic, pro-liberty congressional candidates. I'm seeing them at rate of one per month these days. With such an ideology, that more than anything can break up a cabal, whatever its structure is. It just takes time, but better now than never.

  • @sirTittytwister It's all about the Constitution... it safeguards against all the injustices that result from the so-called "solutions" proposed to imagined, manufactured "problems"

  • Naomi Klein plays into the left vs. right republican vs democrat paridigm. She's actually thinks a president makes a difference. Presidents in our country are merely puppets and salesmen for the MIC.

  • She's cute but idealistic. Getting most troops out is a good start to ending a war. And boom now we are 90% out of iraq. What more do you want? He virtually ended the war.

  • @TheArfdog I don't know if you were paying attention while they were talking about the election throughout the entire interview, but this video is from 2008.

  • @Ejwoods08 I know. But she is blaming Obama for something he hadn't even done yet. Downsizing the occupation is the first step to ending the occupation. You can't just pull all troops out at once. What more did she want from Obama? She is just being a drama queen, using her looks to gain attention. And now that Obama is 90% out of Iraq and downsizing Afghanistan's troops, she looks pretty silly right now. She should just model or host a TV show.

  • If we have to sacrifice a little honesty and integrity so be it, we'll deal with it after the vote. hahaha. That is exactly what is wrong with America today. The ability to trade the cornerstones of our ethics for a quick political gain.

  • Obama is trying, but it Looks like he is Giving into the Right wing, He needs A backbone, and he needs to focus on the economy more, And fight the GOP stand your ground on these bastards

  • the climate crisis is SO bad AlGore bought a house in Malibu.

Malibu? -gasp- when oceans are rising?

  • What a pompous ass. Ms. Klein is a menace to freedom.

    rabidrepublicanblog

  • This lady is about as intellectually dishonest and challenged as they come. In other words, she's an idiot. Go back to Canada.

  • Post-WWII, the big one, was the first disaster capitalist experiment, with a focus on Germany and the USSR, then it moved on to Japan, now China, next India, followed by Europe again, then Canada (which will be the last Oil Producing country standing), and back to the USA. There is too much at stake for the USA to simply pack it in.

  • Obama was a fraud from the beginning and no matter what you say fools will all be like the naked emperor everyone will gather and praise him eventhough they know he is naked, unless one person says something. Reminds me of the jim jones syndrome, we keep drinking the God Damn kool aid. smh sheeple

  • General Electric makes the bombs Obama steals your money to buy so he can murder people at wedding ceremonies. General Electric CEOs are constantly visiting the White House to give orders to this Bush cllone Obama. General Electric just posted huge profits but they pay ZERO takes because their bribed political hacks (like criminal Charlie Rangel) have written loopholes into the tax law. Obama selected Geitner, who refused to pay his own income taxes, to he head of the US Treasury. Wake up!

  • Gee, what a shock, she's radical progressive who likes Obama...I'd have never guessed!

  • So it turns out Obama is just as bad as Bush, if not worse. We were duped. Vote him out next election.

    Ron Paul 2012!

  • @einLesenderArbeiter You do realize that Ron Paul sucks right? The man opposed any attempts to stop the genocide in Darfur. He supported Don't Ask, Don't Tell. He wants to legalize prostitution. He doesn't believe in global warming. Sounds like a smart guy, right?

  • @deutschland08fn you seem like the kind of voter who relies on simple "yes" or "no" questions when judging a politician, rather than looking into the reasons why people have certain viewpoints. the US governments' attempts to stop genocides (in the few occasions an effort was made) were only politically motivated and in the end proved futile. and when prostitution is illegal, that means the mob and other gangsters have a monopoly on the industry (which isnt gonna go away, legal or illegal).

  • @deutschland08fn (continued...) and repealing DADT is not the great victory people seem to perceive it as. Article 125 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice can still be used to persecute homosexuals. DADT was written so that homosexuals could serve without being accused of engaging in "unnatural carnal copulation" simply because they were gay. DADT was a bad solution, but in a more practical sense, it was much easier to write new contradictory legislation than to change the UCMJ itself.

  • @einLesenderArbeiter oooh no, Ron Paul's fucking crazy. Romney 2012!

  • @einLesenderArbeiter you like Naomi Klein but vote for Ron Paul? Cannot compute. My thought on it is this: Obama has not turned out to be exactly who everyone thought he was. But in the face of his Republican opponents, he is extremely favorable. And Ron Paul is not going to win a presidential election. Not as a Republican and certainly not as an Independent. In this country's presidential elections, it's red or blue. And I NEVER go red.

  • @Ejwoods08 paul registered as a republican because the system is so backwards that it's impossible to become president unless you register republican or democrat. he chose republican because he believes in fiscal conservatism, something our economy needs. but he is very open to people having the freedom to make their own choices in life which sets him far apart from the majority of republicans and has attracted support from liberals.

and why not go red? are you racist or some shit??

  • @einLesenderArbeiter I'll be back here to gloat when Obama wins 2012 because most people approve of what he's done. Which is to make us safer and keep the economy from going into a depression.

  • @TheArfdog the economy has not improved since he's been office, and how is bombing libya supposed to make us safe?

  • @einLesenderArbeiter To go from -700k jobs a month to +200k is not improvement?

  • @TheArfdog where are you getting this statistic from? and how many of those are private sector jobs vs government jobs? making more bureaucracy and creating more government jobs only hurts taxpayers. that is not an improvement.

  • @einLesenderArbeiter Um I got it from public information. Try the BLS or something. Brief search shows we lost 30k government jobs a month. So -13% are govt jobs. And who cares if it's a govt job or private sector job? Any kind of job pays the bills, and gets money moving in the economy.

  • @TheArfdog the difference between government jobs and private sector jobs is that government salaries are paid for by money that is taken from people whether they choose to or not. people are forced to pay for tsa agents to fondle them or see nude pics of them at the airport. people are forced to fund the fda which forces tobacco companies to put hideous pictures of cancer on packs of cigarettes, as if people didnt get the idea already. im not forced to pay the salary of a private job.

  • @einLesenderArbeiter You know how to choose who gets paid in govt? Vote. I don't know about you, but i'd rather be fondled slightly than have the airplane explode, but that's just me. If we wait for airlines to handle security, we'd be waiting a long time. Just like we waited for car companies to make safer cars... it never happened until they got ordered. Govt has its uses and the Constitution keeps it from being abused. Guess you don't believe in the Constitution.

  • @TheArfdog ya funny.

  • @TheArfdog and i checked the bls website. unemployment has been floating around 9% the entire time he's been in office. no trend downwards or upwards. no improvement.

  • @einLesenderArbeiter Bombing Qaddafi helps defend innocent people. Guess you're against that.

  • @TheArfdog so you admit it doesnt make us safe. now, for your new argument... bombing libya also kills innocent people. you cant drop bombs on densely populated cities without collateral damage. so when we inevitably kill innocent people, we make qaddafi think he is defending his country, and he now can go to his supporters and say "look! the imperialist west is killing our countrymen! they want to control OUR country!" nato is only fanning the flames.

  • @einLesenderArbeiter I said it helps potential allies, innocent people. With smart bombs, very few innocents die. It's pin-point accurate. You can drop bombs on densely populated areas. And i dunno if you've talked to a Libyan, but none think Qaddafi is on their side. As for 9% unemployment, that's dumb to look at just that. 220k people a MONTH are getting jobs. Real people. The only reason 9% doesn't change at this time is because new people are entering the job market. Again, 220k>-770k. duh

  • @TheArfdog but behind every innocent person that dies is an entire family that now has a pretty damn good reason to hate us. we also have no idea who these rebels are, or if they are even united. if we topple qaddafi we may just create a power vacuum and see an even longer civil war between competing factions. interventions like this are never a good idea, especially after we've seen the disasters that vietnam, korea, iraq, afghanistan, somalia, nicaragua, etc. turned into.

  • @TheArfdog and i looked up the stats about how many jobs are created. they have also flip-flopped throughout his term so, yet again, no noteworthy trends in either direction.

  • @einLesenderArbeiter So we're no better off than 2008 would you say?

  • @TheArfdog now that we're involved in another war that will be paid for with even more borrowed money, no, not really. There's going to be more inflation and with that comes more price increases. I think things are gonna get a lot worse before they get better. And don't waste my time with CPI stats. They very conveniently exclude the prices of food and gas, so they're pretty much meaningless.

  • @TheArfdog Innocents are already dying, they are gearing up for land invasion... How people can still spread the propaganda that America invades to save lives is beyond me...Can you not name a dozen more countries that have FAR greater abuses against it's citizens going on? Can you not see the obvious political gain and infact necessity of invading Libya? I suggest you do a basic level of research before continuing, it's 2011, you dont' want to be the last one to smarten up.

  • @excelinferno123 What's the need for invading Libya? The US won't be occupying it or taking its oil. Just like Iraq, we're no occupying that either. The only gain is political. Unlike you, I don't smarten up using the Internet. I read real history books. lol. When was the last time America invaded a country and annexed it?

  • @einLesenderArbeiter Glad to see this comment here.

  • @einLesenderArbeiter Ron Paul? Are you insane ? Just wondering because Ron Paul certainly is. President Obama was left with a multi faceted disaster. Two wars, an economy that's been gang raped and left for dead. To blame him for the way things are is not constructive. I don't hear any plans from Ms. Klein on any of these topics.Nor from any of those who expext him to have all the answers. Top top it off, he is being constantly undermind by the GOP. And with all this we expect perfection.

  • @UncleMatt69 The last "jobs bill" didn't work and now he's pressing another. Even democrats are disappointed with his healthcare bill. After he sold himself as the peace candidate, he sent an additional 40,000 troops to Afghanistan, hugely expanded the drone program, bombed Libya and Yemen, and now is sending a whole mess of troops to Australia, which will only piss off China. And now the sanctions against Iran even though it's only speculation whether they're making nukes or not.

  • @einLesenderArbeiter 2,500,000 new private sector jobs.

  • @UncleMatt69 He hasn't been the president he promised he would be and he can only blame so much on the GOP. A lot of the ill he's done, like the expansion of the wars, has been his own doing as Commander in Chief.

  • Comment removed

  • @UncleMatt69 You buy into the 2-party rhetoric. one party perpetually saving you from the other party... meanwhile we ignore the infringement of our liberties and violation of the constitution. Obama is bought and paid for by the corporate banking cartel, like bush before him.

  • @valeo626 I ignore nothing. The two party system is inherently adversarial at best and corrupt as it is. We basicly live in a dictatorship, the Judiciary branch having been cut off. I'm all for revolution and nationalizing these corporations that raped us. The sell the highly regulated versions back to the private sector. We need a complete reform of our current system, starting from the top down. No corporate money in elections or lobbying of congress. Term limits. Accountability.

  • To get "us" out of Iraq? Klein is a Canadian.........

  • @mixmastermeeks quit clouding the issue with facts!

  • True there will always be greed and corruption. The key is building a society, a democracy with strong enough values and a transparent, albeit strong enough government to counter balance the strength of corrupt dishonest, rapacious industries and corporations.

  • @Pugglewump1970 - The biggest threat to liberty is corrupt, dishonest, rapacious bureaucrats. Political self-interest is no more virtuous than economic self-interest.

"I own that I am not a friend to a very energetic government. It is always oppressive."

    Thomas Jefferson

  • Wow... Pro-regressive movement and the "Obama Machine" have no clue. I remember this "important" climate conference. Didn't it snow? Can't count on that global warming. All you idiots with electric cars and a utopian society have no concept of human behavior and instinct. There will always be corruption, waste, greed and, war. How do electric cars recharge? Fuel?? maybe air? To think otherwise or that Barry is this incredible being who is going to stop it all is insane and you should seek help.

  • Obama's jingoistic rhetoric about backing freedom-fighters in Libya is a sickening insult to American freedom-fighters. He's quick to jump on the freedom bandwagon and rush in to overthrow Gaddafi (using other people's children and money) yet shows no desire to smash the U.S. fascist police state and his puppet presidency. He authorized the torture of Bradley Manning for months in isolation and claims it's for his protection. Fools who still believe the sociopath are on their own.

  • @asynkronos wtf are you talking about Fascist and other people's children and money? The armed forces are a VOLUNTEER armed forces, dumbass. If they don't like what he's doing, they can quit or not join. Wake up to reality you ignorant fool. Not everything is a conspiracy.

  • @asynkronos Unite .together with Our Friends here and everywhere. We r showering Divine Love and Blessings from our ♥s 2 all beautiful Islands of Japan and Our Beloved Earth and Humanity ♥ safely shifting 2 The Golden Crystal Age Happiness 2 All~Oneness Love and Light InfiniteThank U Beloved Mighty I Am Presence- ♥ Heaven and Earth United Us~ We R accepting divine ~Gifts~of I AM~Oneness Love Light Supreme Infinite~The Light of God Never Fails~in all forms We R Forever Flowering

  • @asynkronos Even if Dennis Kucinich became president nothing would change. You see, the institutions and infrastructure of the National Security State have made it necessary to pursue imperialistic policies in order to perpetuate itself. Until a majority of citizens formulate a strategy and plan of action, then nothing will ever change despite who heads the administration. The ideology of both parties differ only in degrees not on fundamentals.

  • Obama is a turn coat.

  • Naomi Klein is a greenie? Damn, I had such high hopes after seeing No Logo.

  • Nice. She says "If we have to sacrafice some of our honesty & integrity, we will do that." Shows how the progressives work.

  • economics cannot be argued. IT IS. How one interprest the data is where economists of different ilks show their stupidity. The markets will be -- as long as we can keep government out of the markets, the PEOPLE *will* decide what is best at what price and when. Introduce government, and you get skewed data and any interpretations are therefore, incorrect.

  • i think she is getting stupid, you can't take a sword out of a persons body, it has to be slow and careful. same applies to iraq. Obama is working on taking soldiers out of iraq

  • Why iis she so overrated? Even Zinn can admit to biases and fuckups. Even when she is right (calling the austrian school buttheads)) she doesnt seem that intellectually honest

  • @SUpersaiyajinjerkbag austrian economics school is not wrong. w w w . hacer . org / pdf / Hazlitt00 . pdf

  • @CytherLynx

I didn't say they were wrong. I said they are buttheads. Which is true.

  • @SUpersaiyajinjerkbag hey, i support austrian economics! :p

  • @CytherLynx didnt hitler and the whole ayrian thing come from austria? lols

  • @djnero78 it did? omg i better stop support austrian economics - it's obviously racist.

  • @CytherLynx it did, and if that economics relies on a class system as do they all, where little brown ppl get the worst deal or killed, then what does that make your sarcasm if not pathetic?

  • @djnero78

i support people's right to own property, and freely trade goods and services, therefore i'm evil? are you kidding.

we have crony capitalism/mercantilism atm. not actual capitalism.

how exactly do you think 'little brown people' get killed?

  • @CytherLynx you really need to find out what happens when these gimme gimme types see some countries resources they want to aquire, since most of it is in africa and the east, i'll let you work out the rest.

  • @CytherLynx as for private property. heres a news flash you, that 'property' is mine, it is yours, it is everyones, but this wont sink in for you because business is fascism

  • @djnero78 Property belongs to the strongest. The ones who control the strongest empires have the power to make laws, and they justify their right to own property.

  • @bekoesgay yep, but strength can wither away, at varying different rates and means too =)

  • @Ychvd she also said climate crises , you mean global warming ? , either one, the sky is falling !!!! the sky is falling !!!! the sky ia falling !!!! these people are crazy !!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Also I appreciate at how most of the criticism of what she's saying is mostly a bunch of misogynistic venom or name calling like "fucking lib-tard without a brain cell to think" rather than addressing her points. "Did this dumb bitch really buy the 'change bullshit'?" No actually she didn't as the interview reveals.

  • Comment removed

  • Why is it the right thinks corporations are democratic or that bankers believe in freedom? Freedom for themselves. The rest of you have to pull yourself up by your made in China bootstraps.

  • Comment removed

  • I like how the beginning they ASK FOR YOUR MONEY !!!!!! Then if that's not enough they us capital letters for REAL - because some stupid ass might think that's right.

She's a fucking lib-tard without a brain cell to think- She has no integrity or honesty YOU HEARD IT FROM THE HORSES ASS ( I mean mouth )

  • Comment removed

  • Funny watching this in hindsight-did this dumb bitch really buy the "change" bullshit?

  • Presidents are the biggest slaves, slave to defend the interest of the powerful establishment and slave to defend public intrests. Only through the skill of deception and obfuscation can they sustain their position.

  • Very surprised to hear her being so critical of Obama BEFORE the election in 08. Democrat spilts in 2000 put Bush in.

  • Have fun watching your party go down in flames. This cheerleader has no more credibility than that whore Kendra.

  • Someone stick your dick in her mouth. I'm tired of hearing her speak.

  • @obtree Grab the one out of your ass and put it in her mouth.

  • @richardsucksx ATM. Good idea.

  • @obtree Yeah, her ideas are revolutionary. I mean, actually expecting progress from our governments, why would we wanna do that?

  • @archangelsweetie Her ideas aren't revolutionary. They are the same played out, Marxist ideas that have been stagnating for 150 years. Shes a partisan. Shes unoriginal. She regurgitates everything that happens to be popular within the progressive movement. Even the Shock doctrine was basically just liberal dogma shoehorned into a crappy metaphor. No, her ideas are not revolutionary, although I'm pretty sure she wants a revolution.

  • @archangelsweetie lol, "revolutionary"...please, don't make me laugh (too late). nothing revolutionary about giving up all of your rights and freedoms to central government. That revolutionary idea has already run it's course in USSR, China, Vietnam, Korea, Cambodia, etc etc etc.

    Klein is a statist/socialist/collectivist idiot.

  • Klein is a socialist-statist, quite simply. The closing the income gap, between the rich and poor, though seemingly laudable, is not and cannot be possible, so long as individual citizens, in a free and open society, have the right to economic self-determination. In America, one can advance through talent, merit, and, yes, a little luck. However, what Klein advocates in her idea(l) of social and economic justice, can only lead to the erosion of personal freedom and economic self-determination!

  • @whiff1962 One serious red diaper baby. A shame people s/a this didn't bother to learn something about the country they came to so recently, before they started being the stars of it; we'd be in a very different place today. Her family was the same. Her lectures are sadly naive and she is a standard academic mouthpiece---but worse, really seems to believe people do find her intelligent (just b/c she's interviewed and that kind of thing). Yuck.

  • @whiff1962

You are a fucking brain washed idiot.

There is no freedom for the people without socialism.

  • @llothar68 Brainless idiot! Freedom doesn't mean that you get everything for FREE from the government.

  • @ssmusic214

Freedom means you don't need to worry about unemployment or illness

  • @llothar68 @llothar68 "Freedom means you don't need to worry about unemployment or illness"

That was very good description of USSR, NAZI Germany and Mao's China.

  • @llothar68 "Freedom means you don't need to worry about unemployment or illness"

That was very good description of USSR, NAZI Germany and Mao's China.

  • @ssmusic214

Are you sure no one got ill in China? I mean damn those restaurants there are FILTHY

  • @SUpersaiyajinjerkbag Nobody ever got sick in USSR, NAZI Germany and Mao's China. Everything else is capitalist propaganda.

  • @llothar68 Sorry chump, you have it completely backwards.

  • I don't think presidents of any country are in office to help us

  • who gives a fuck about the climate!!! the U.S.'s carbon foot print is shit!! its nothing!! all the volcanoes in the world do the same damage in one day, then the whole united states does in 1yr.. the humans affect on the "climate crises", which is non-existent, would be so insignificant that it would do nothing! the fuckin emails between the top scientist leading the "green movement" were caught in lies to change data to be more persuasive!! its all a terrible fraud!!!

  • @JpassTheTime

    Stop running nonsense commentary.

A simple google search reveals a better source of information. Volcanoes actually help in cooling the climate- such as the recent icelandic explosion and that of Mt. St. Helens from recent history.

Thumbs up if JpassTheTime is an idiot

  • this is bull! obama gonna pay my rent!

  • I'm missing something

Didn't Obama already got us out of Irak?

It was on the news a couple of months ago?

    I'm I missing something ?

  • @MRB0ND007 First, this is a two year old video (8-2008) Second, You might have seen some of the pro-Obama news claimimg that the war was "over", but in fact Obama is following much of the Bush plan from 2006. There are still just under 50,000 troops still there (like my son). It will take years to draw down those troops from now untill 2016 at least. Last month (10-2010) was the deadliest month for US and allide troops yet. This will unfortunately take a while yet.

  • @MRB0ND007 Her speech was from 2008; before pres Obama took over

  • @MRB0ND007 your an idiot.. dont ask shit like that.

  • naomi klein got raped by marx's spirit, that is why she is such a stupid bitch. guess what, income equlity exists because people have a value. If you work at wal-mart asa greeter, you don't deserve to make as much as a doctor or an engineer.

  • @bekoesgay But should a dumb bitch with fake tits who does nothing but parade herself around LA selling cuntshots to paparazzi make more than a doctor? Perhaps you fail to see that the distribution of wealth in a capitalist system is entrusted in the ignorant, lobotomized masses who spend their money on dumb shit like snuggies and shamwows and is not as foolproof a system as you might think.

  • @Plax123 Fair enough. Some celebs might make money and some idiots might spend money on snuggies and shamwows. They still serve a purpose: entertainment. They have some wow factor which makes people aware of them. But as a whole, doctors make more money than idiots. For every dumb fad, there are a thousand failed ones. And it might not serve your purpose to generalize about "the lobotomized masses" because it makes you yourself appear ignorant (due to your generalization).

  • @bekoesgay Funny because I'm a engineer, but because of 30 years of trickle down economics, lower taxes for super rich, deregulation on wall street there are now less jobs available to educated people like myself and income inequality is the same in 2010 as it was in 1885.

  • @Chicano4Aztlan that cant be possible because the state is infallible right? Surely it wasnt Obama's socialist govt that gave all those bail outs to bankers and large corporations and foreign governments? Why dont you elect a government that sets teh minimum wage for engineers to $1million per hour then you will be a multi millionaire and you can join the bankers and CEO's in shitting on everyone from your govt sponsored perch. Being selfish for the middle class doesnt make you selfless.

  • @jimberkt It's not socialist to bail out large corporations, and Obama is not socialist. Go outside America and you'll see real democratic socialism. In fact, all the top ranked countries and cities in the world have far more socialist programs than the US (Denmark, Sweden, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, etc.) Using tax payer money to bail out large corporations: that's corporatist. It's a welfare state for the rich, at the expensive of the people.

  • @ColdCalc Most European countries have a programme to take care of their human livestock/TAX-COWES so the process of the exploitation and control in the interest of the real OWNERS/ruling class is as smooth as possible, they have learnt a little from recent violent history of the MARKET SYSTEM. The original working class socialist agenda was a CLASSLESS,MONEYLESS,STATELESS communities of humanity sharing the Earth in cooperation for our common needs and wellbeing. you are naive in your mindset.

  • @ColdCalc

Also, didn't the bailouts actually start under bush, much like this recession?

  • Sadly money comes before the human condition... always..

  • Shit, morality? Slavery was profit driven.

  • it's all a jewish con. They have no conscience. Take a look around you. They only promote jewish writers. She is farrrrrrrrrrrr farrrrrrrrrr farrrrrrrrrrrrrr from brilliant. She just chatters. The only plan is to do the same thing and rob the u.s. treasury and send our kids to be killed like they did in damn near every war we've ever been in. If you don't think so, you just THINK, you know history.

  • This woman is the face of the NWO. She is who Huxley spoke of.

  • @Minionuup you are the face of an idiot and paranoid freak

  • @Minionuup Your's is probably the most insightful response to this video-certainly the most terse and true!

  • Ah, yes, how refreshing are these socialist-statists and their appeal to bigger and more intrusive government paternalism. Not once does Klein aver that maybe free-market forces could be more responsive and efficient on many fronts? Of course not, that would deny Klein her public persona. She is not for greater freedoms and liberty, much to the contrary. Her's is about greater incursions of big govt, and that is not consistent with the Constitutional role of the State in my private affairs!

  • @whiff1962 But the free-market hasn't helped fight global warming. I'm not ideologically opposed to the free market at all. The free market will follow whatever direction points to profits. But the profit motive doesn't always match with what's in our best interests. Climate change is one of these cases. You think the coal industry is going help clean up the environment, for example? You're framing this debate as "big" government versus "small" government, but that's too general.

  • Okay, I'm not going to fall for such ad hoc arguments, certainly not if you fail to cleave to the proper scientifically agree-upon term: that would be global climate change. Yes, this is certainly a darling for the hybrid-driving-latte-drinking types. With Gore winning a Nobel prize for his movie "An inconvenient truth", it does leave me wondering whether it is the science or the political windfall that needs discussing. I have my suspicion that both are mutually complimentary: Green jobs?
