Wow was good the first 1 n 2 years then their little gay expansions came out and made all the little cry babys and noobs come in the game and just kill the game. Each genre has different styles and needs different styles of professionalism.

To not fail at most mmo's you need an understanding of tactics and combinations, character setout and talent formulas that work differently each time a single piece of amour is changed.

Pvp requires tactical landscape advantages and you must know the correct and most efficient ways to counter the attacks thrown at you per different class.

Pve requires strategical playing or you will be crushed by bosses. Its not all tank and spank. Groups must be set out accordingly to each boss to give the highest advantage against each bosses skills and abilities. You cant always soak up damage and heals like a sponge some attacks require to be dodged and avoided, fail to do this and you cannot succeed. Communication skills is vital for keeping a group in order, it is not an individual effort but a team effort in order to win. Think Again.

really just takes time. Anyone can plan that out. I'll concede timing is still essential, as with every game worth playing, but man even still. If you wipe you just re spawn and do it over. i guess pvp requires some skill, but you have to admit that it is one of the less skill intensive gaming genres. I don't play one genre btw, i play them all, even WoW on occasion, this is what makes me feel i have solid understanding of the difficulty of each genre.

I can see where you are coming from. Some games you have to aim in order to fight. I for get what they are called, non target systems? Something along those lines. And Also, it works the same for almost all games, loose a level and you load it again, loose a fight then challenge them again.

I suppose, I'm a very competitive gamer that's all about the multilayer. My comparison really should just be from my games to WoW PvP then i suppose. I suppose i just couldn't get into WoW because of the massive amount of time you have to dedicate to become the best. Where as for L4D I was in a league within weeks of it's released and got up to rank 13 in the world from constant scrims and matches. I think my main source of anger towards WoW is that i don't have the time to beat everyone. lol

Hehe yes. I enjoy mmos because of that reason. You can enjoy it for a long time and build up friendships with people you meet. If you put in the time it unlocks a lot more possibilities and ways to have fun. And after meeting people you can make your own fun :D

I currently do not play any mmos, ex wower and I have tried 75% of all free mmos on the market.
