  • im sure someone has asked this but how tall are you? and is the 48 good for 6 footers and taller?

  • @curtmastor 5'9"

  • Did the fatboy headlight mount up easily or did you have to do some fabrications?

  • @FunkytownBlues1 Nope, no modifiation. Only thing i did was flip the bracket so the light would tuck in deeper into the tree. Im going to make a new bracket so that it will sit even deeper

  • @504CharlieBoy504 I would love see some close ups on that when you get done, I just ordered my light from ebay hopefully it works out.

  • dude that looks really good. im in covington and i gotta forty eight with vance n hines two to one. also got the screamin eagle stage one air intake. like what you did with the tank and controls. bad ass

  • @bigdaddyskeve1 nice, ever come to NoLa?

  • looks good man, nice job. enjoyed the vid.

  • Those are sick turn signals!!

  • Looks really good. Wouldn't mind having one of those myself. You did a great job. Have. Joker Controls on my chopper. Hydraulic clutch They make a mean product. My handlebars would look good on your bike. I make specialty internal led bars

    Great job.

  • Im sold on the joker turn signal that you had them make to clean up the handlebars ...how can i get one? and how much did it run you? Thanks, Angel

  • sick bike

  • Looks bad-ass. Mine is similar. Like the headlight a lot. W/the lil passenger seat u don't feel like ur sliding off as much, that's why mine stays on all the time. When u get a chance check mine out & tell me what u think. I Still got a lot to do.

  • forward controls and drag bar... anxious about ergonomics ??comfortable ? wanna install clip on mine but icant decided yet. i would like to see your riding video.

  • @Reddustt To be honest... it looks cool as hell, but not the best position for aggressive riding. Comfort wise, it took about a week to get used to the position. I slide off the seat when i hit the gas hard, so thats something ill deal with when i do my next set of mods in the spring. Ill be in Virginia and my bike back home for the next couple of months.

  • Nice bike, nice mods Charley... ;-)

  • Nice bike, but why buy a new Harley, with all that "junk" and crap",- and not build a bike from scratch ???

  • @MrMikyou1 all that "extra junk" and "crap" is what paid for my mods paid for all my mods

  • btw, i made my spring seat mount fir 20$ . highly recommend the seat, it will give you a better ride too...

  • @octorandy well the streetglide shocks work great but would love to see your seat setup. Front LED blinkers are by joker machine

  • i need to know where you got those led turn signals for the front:-) i got my 48 almost done, but need those tocreate better clearance for the drag bar i installed. let me know thanks! oh, and i havent updated my youtube to reflect the chgs i made to my bike, so dont hate:-) lol

  • what bars your put on that?

  • @rhinodog licks cycles drag bars

  • Bike looks great! Could you please tell me what size front tire that is? I want the fatter tire, but want to make sure it clears the forks.

    Thanks!

    Roy

  • @Outlander1961 Hey Roy what bike do you have? the forty eight comes with a mid glide front end. Not sure if this combo fits on a sporty with the regular trees.

    Tires are Wheels – Front 16 in. X 3 in., Rear 16 in. X 3 in.

    Tires – Front MT90B16 Rear – 150/80B16

  • @Outlander1961 You gotta get some mid glide trees for your forks... then it will clear buddy.

  • @twosock360 Geez, so positive!

  • one of the nicest 48's i've seen thus far.

  • @TruroCityBoy the shocks are off of a 2010 streetglide the lowering kit is off of Ebay

it is the 1-3" lowering kit the name of the seller is speedmotoring

  • I live in australia....love the new 48, only just been released here. I want to lower the back end of mine....not sure where to start. Did you just bolt on the new shocks? What's a "lowering block"? Can you give me a little advice...I'm new at this and want a lowered fat low look. Cheers

  • great bike charlie boy. why did you changed the shock tell us how its feel now before and after changing the shock.

  • @tubekhayes Hell yeah even with the 2" drop it rides way better than it did stock...like day and night

  • Charlie, what did you do with your stock clear headlight lense, I got a clear fatboy lense if you wanted to swap & have more light for night riding. Had the 7" headlight on my Nightster but went back to a 5" headlight, just need a clear lense. Let me know, I'm in MS.

  • How did u mount the new controls what kind of switches did u use and what did u use for the ignition/killswitch.

I am about to do the same I just don't know where to mount and what kind of switches/if I need to build a custom switch board

  • @carterjkendall im not at home and i cant recall exactly what switches and toggles i used. ill let you know when i get back to New Orleans

here is what a buddy wrote me when i did it

    1. Fuel Pump: ON/OFF Toggle w/ two prongs.

    2. Start: Momentary Push Button Switch w/ two prongs.

    3. Horn: Momentary Push Button Switch w/ two prongs.

    4. Hi/Lo Beam: This one is a bit harder to find, but it's an ON/ON switch w/ THREE prongs on the back. i got mine at fry's but it was a bitch to sort out.

  • Sweet Bike CharlieBoy. You did a ton of work to it and it looks great. I just built a 2010 HD 48 and got the same comment as you did about spending so much on a new bike. Ill take a rubber mounted new fuel injected build over the old ones, anyday.

  • @KWagner983 they are just hating. BTW checked out your build... love it!

  • I just don't get it really. Your bike, but 10 grand then do that to it? You can get one on Craig's for 3500 and mess with it, and there's no payments so you can just resell it.

  • @kraznos Bike is paid for homie. Bout to drop another 2 grand on new pipes, paint job and powder coating and custom made seat. As soon as i am done with this one, Im buying 2012 road glide

No kids, no wife, no bills. Every bike i have now and will own later, will have every mile and all work done be me cant say that with a used bike. THATS WHY

  • Really coming together CharlieBoy. Awesome to see you updating all the vids. You got some serious custom going on and as Tucco would say...it's TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT. lol

  • @moparbrent760 Headlight was pretty simple just match the wires. I got this light of of bay so may not be the same as a stock batboy light. I basically just matched wire colors. The extra wire is eliminated (dummy light in speedo works without it)

@vehlamunda4sydney thanks man it was my first time doing any kind of body work.

@jonesobc the bars are from licks cycles

  • hey bro what kind of handlebars are on you bike....

  • looks great impressed with rear blinkers

  • looks great man! how did the wiring go for the headlight? I love it.. If I were to do something like that, I'd mount it higher.. I love the look of it up high. idk why haha but id definitely have to relocate my speedometer too. how do you like it down there? is it hard to get used to?

  • @moparbrent760 bars took about a week for my back to get used to them, the speedo is great where it is at. no issues getting used to them
