Obama Lies:offer Hillary the VP spot! "The fact that fewer than 3 percent of Clinton's donors have donated any money directly to Obama in his first month as presumptive nominee is likely to raise the eyebrows of some leaders in the Democratic Party who are hoping to see signs of unity," the Huffington Post observed.
Obama donors are evidently returning the "favor." They gave just $105,000 in June to help Clinton repay her $25 million campaign debt, according to the Lost Angeles Times. HMMMM
John Edwards would have been a great President, he has qualities similar to John F Kennedy.
John Edwards was dedicated to helping the working man. There is a candidate running who puts his faith in the people by stripping away the lawmaking power from the rich 1 percent and giving it to its citizens.
Sad to hear you ditched the race, leaving we, the people with an impeached ex Pres and his equally experienced liar and Obama to choose from. McCain's popularity and the general way votes have gone leaves me hopeless~more war on the horizon. Sad.
Edwards is the best candidate for President in either party. It's just too bad the corporate media knows CONTROLS what we see and hear, which is why the focus is on Obama and Hilary. If America didn't awake to the manipulation of the media last election, maybe they will now. John Edwards for President
Tonight's debate (1-21-08) made it clear that John Edwards IS truly qualified to be president. Barack and Hillary were too busy with personal attacks, while Edwards proved himself to be intelligent, articulate, and FOR Americans, as he discussed the REAL issues. Democrats need to wake up and realize Edwards is the only one who can beat the Republicans in November.
Edwards divides the anti-Clinton vote, and so undermines the prospects for the changes that he passionately demands in government. He helps Hillary if he stays in the race and boosts Obama if pulls out.
Edwards deserves a special place in our politics for his efforts to bring poverty to national attention and to take account of the needs of the poor. But now it's time to read the writing on the wall and obey the verdict of history. It's time for Edwards to pull out.
Edwards is the only candidate with a vision!!!!! He IS The FUTURE of America and no slave to the corporate interests like Obama and Hilary. KEEP HOPE ALIVE!!! VOTE EDWARDS
Read the fine print. Edwards missed some votes while he was campaigning for VP in 2004, and that caused his LCV rating to go down. The LCV endorsed him for senator and VP. In November 2007, the first-ever Global Warming Forum was held and cosponsored by the LCV. (Side note: ALL presidential candidates were invited, both Democrats and Republicans. Only Edwards, Clinton, and Kucinich bothered to show and have their views grilled by the experts.) Edwards passed that very difficult challenge.
What an inspiring man! I grew up in western Pennsylvania, where it used to be possible to earn a good living and raise a family working in a factory. My dad did it and sent 2 kids to college. That way of life is gone. New, good jobs are needed there so badly. I'm so proud that John Edwards is fighting with his whole heart for regular people just like my parents and me and my kids to have a real voice in our democracy again.
I think we all better take a look at Joe Biden, dont be afraid he is the one who could upst the Hillary campaign. dont get me wrong i will support John Edwards if he get nominated but I doubt he will, Take a good look at Biden he could be the next come back kid.
Hillary and Obama are following him and where there is a difference in platforms, he is right. He tells the truth even when it's not what we may want to hear. It's time to be patriotic about something other than war. We all will need to sacrifice to save our planet and in person he is so inspiring. There is no one better to lead us away from the insanity of the last 7 years. He has the courage and the stamina.
I really love John Edwards and I think he'd make a great president, but it'd be kind of disappointing for him to win. We have an African American and a female racing, and another white man gets it. I would like to see him succeed, though, because he could do great things for America.
Just as race and gender were not valid reasons to keep someone from becoming president, and while having a woman or a minority person would be part of the realization of the drive toward equality, race or gender alone should not constitute a basis for voting for a candidate.
JOHN EDWARDS is the most progressive candidate ready to take action to bring about REAL CHANGE to held the middle class, working class, and poor.
Fight for the voice of America, take away the power of big corporations and lobbyists. Vote, be heard, and carefully choose your candidate who will really and truly work to put the power back to the people. EDWARDS alone is the person willing to fight for you...
It would be nice to see a little presidential backbone from at least one of the candidates in the form of a public statement supporting metrication.
We waste huge amounts of money every year (and lose more in lost business opportunities) by using two measurement systems. Our customary system is a difficult to learn mess in it's own right, but using two measurmeent systems is even worse than using one poor one.
It's time to finally finish the job and go metric.
these youtube 'debates' arent debates, i wish politicians would stop lying saying that they are. they are only questions asked to these guys and woman, thats not a debate. a debate is the candidates asking each other about issues relevant to the elections, as actual debates used to be. now they are too afraid to do that because they might get caught off guard with a question they dont want to answer. quit acting like puzzies and have an actual debate instead of hyping q & a sessions
Ironic. If you want someone who tells it straight, whose stands serve America, not corporate profits at the expense of the poor and working class--then John is your candidate.
If you want to be taken seriously, don't make up random numbers and pull them out of your anus. His net worth is nowhere near $400 million, although Romney's is. And Edwards' economic plan would raise tax rates on capital gains and on the incomes of millionaires like Romney and Edwards himself. So that IS where his plan starts. I'm sure he appreciates your support, even if you do spam meaningless and inane comments on youtube.
Yea. Stop with the random numbers like predicting how many people will be killed in a war. Like how many people are uninsured. Or like how many people are in "poverty". All shit the dems pull out of their ass every day.
Hoooowddy, Gomer. What kind a line of crap he's trying to hand us. The nation barely survived 8 years of the Clintons, put him or Hillary in the White House and you might as well take the U.S.A. off the map...that would spell the end of us.
the breck girl(john edwards) lifts up my spirits as well as wanting to get a $401 haircut now seeing this video what a joke this is go romney go go go go
He lifts my spirits too! He inspired me to do something patriotic over Memorial Day Weekend. I organized a collection in my condo neighborhood and sent 22 care packages to a platoon in Iraq. I would never have done that on my own. In fact, he inspired a lot of people that weekend. I think he is just what we need to bring this country together again.
I do believe his heart and soul are with the working men and women of this country, the disabled, the disenfranchised.... John's our nation's best chance for healing.
Hi auntbecky, I regret it too. I have forgiven him for that, but I can't get past the facts. That support he gave to the rich and powerful, who promoted this war is a really huge, major error in judgment? Or did he vote the politically safe line instead of his gut? The facts were there. I like him. He seems like such a nice/sweet guy, but don't believe that he is strong enough or wise enough just because of his backing the invasion.
I'm in agreement. give the haircut thing a rest. There are bigger issues on the table. Sorry about the earlier comment, it was meant for the mblackburn2!!
The haircuts do mean something: he did something (twice) that he would not have done in his regular, non-celebrity life. He's losing touch with his roots. You think his daddy would have done that?!
ShortbusMooner: Maybe he's just self concious about his hair? Is that really what you base someone's character on? At least he learns from his mistakes and takes a stand to correct the problems in this country. More than anyone can say for president numb nuts. Judge people for their actions.
Jeez! I wouldn't think to insult John Edwards by comparing him to that piece of corrupt crap that currently resides in the White House! (and his master, Darth Cheney!)
John fought to bring us the war? I have a real problem with any of the candidates that voted for this war. There only a hand full of senior senators who were able to see the lies and deception... I really can't see putting this man in the white house if he can so be so easily influenced and led by the nose! Come on Iowa? You live in a pretty rose colored glass bubble.
Because non-action brought us Bush, Cheney and the military industrial complex which turned the economy into a war for profit economy. I suggest you read the book "Are we Rome ?"
Just search for it in Google. Even if you do not agree with the historical parallels then I would ask you to think about the following: "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing"

If You're Thinking About Voting For John Edwards...
...First ask yourself these questions.
Did you know that John Edwards has the worst environmental record according to the League of Conservation voters ratings?
Did you know that John Edwards missed 40% of his votes in the senate?
Do you agree with John Edwards vote in favor of authorizing the Iraq war...
...And do you think its right that he didn't read the NIE report and lied and said he had at one point?
