Thank you for posting this song. How wonderful to hear it in three languages and sung by the lovely Esther Ofarim. I've loved her art ever since she sang in Germany in the 1960ies and she still can make my soul hum.

I think it sounds lovely in hebrew. Many people also think German is ugly. I like the language too. All languages have their own beauty. Thanks Esther for singing a german song also in hebrew:-) How boring it would be only to have one language in the world.

Auch meine Mutter hat dies uns Kindern immer abends vor dem Einschlafen vorgesungen. Eine schöne Erinnerung an eine sorgenfreie und unbeschwerte Kindheit. Esther ist eine hervorragende Interpretin dieses Kinderliedes und ihre Gestik - so einfach und doch so ausdrucksstark. Wunderschön!

I played this song to my kids when they where little. I also sang it to them in all 3 languages, even though I don't speak hebrew. When they hear this song again today - they are now grown up - they are melting away, feeling like they were small again. The magic of a song!
