  • "Never seen you looking so fine my funky one."

Nice video, thanks, this kinda thing is helpful.

I took the Baby Baby on many ski trips. It survived freezing cold and being crammed in the SUV with all the kid's stuff. Neat guitars. Thanks very much for the comment.

  • Wow, the baby sounds almost as good as the Big Baby. I'm an average player and I can't make up my mind which one I want. The baby is also like 200 bucks cheaper :)

  • @cominguproses22

They are both nice guitars but the the Baby produces about half the volume and bass. I film these videos with a FLIP camera. I should really learn how to do a better job with the sound. In reality the Bib Baby sounds bigger and feels like a real guitar. The Baby is a great guitar design but if you owned one as your main guitar I fear that it would just become a stepping stone to a fuller sized model. I take the Baby on ski trips.....great travel companion.

  • @studio1087 Thanks so much for your input! I went to my nearest music store and I did play the two. Wow what a difference the Big Baby is compared to the Baby! It was all the advice I needed. In the end, I'm convinced forking over the extra 200 bucks for the Big Baby is well worth it! Thanks again,

Another option is to go to Guitar Center's website and click on the used gear option. Follow the simple search procedure to look for a used Big Baby. If you find a nice looking one you can call the store, speak to the manager (name will be listed). They have 100% money back on used guitars (low risk) and they ship to your house. I got mine minty used for $299. It's another option. It's safer than eBay and they have many choices.

  • Press 4 and turn it up to 11. (-; Our amps go up to 11!

  • Press 4 and turn it up to 11. (-;

  • To compare the guitars, press 4, listen, press 6, repeat as necessary.

  • nice job, I'm stealing that. ..

  • @luvmycorso

    Thanks very much!

  • Thanks!

  • thanx, nicey done. i enoyed that.

  • I have a D12X1 (12 string Martin X guitar)....The HPL (high pressure laminate) feels like plastic. I prefer the laminated wood on the low end Taylors, it just feels more traditional and natural.

The stratabond neck on my 12 string is amazingly duarble. Both brand have strengths in the entry level products.

  • and by the way look at the tour videos for both martin and taylor...you will witness the same building techniques and factory machines....also martin has adopted alot of taylor's building style!!

  • both the lower end taylors and martins are made in mexico....if i had my drothers i would have the big baby over a basement martin!!!

  • Ahhhh. Typos! I realized the GS was too nice. I sold a couple pedals. I cannot type on an iPad.

  • I just sold the Mahogany Top Baby to help pay for a GS Mini Taylor. Then I relayed that the GS Mini is too nice to drag on ski trips so I old a couple unused pedals and bought a Seagull Grand (parlor) guitar used off the Guitar Center used gear finder. I'm a guitar playing idiot. Idiot; that's me!

  • Haha, nice joke you added man! lol, seriously want a baby taylor for some reason..

  • $150 on a BIG Baby??

    That's a great deal.

I watch CL every night. Love it. There is a used BABY not a Big Baby on the Milwaukee CL for $140 and it's been there for three days. I can't believe someone has not snagged it. It would be a heck of a holiday gift for $140! That's a deal.

$150 on a Big Baby.......you did really well. They fetch $300 constantly on ebay.

  • I bought a big baby in CL for $150

  • Any Major Dude by Steely Dan of the Pretzel Logic Album

  • what song is that?

  • If it's a Big Baby vs. an LXM Martin I would buy the Big Baby. Big Babies feel like real guitars but they are still easy to pack in a car trunk or travel with.

  • Should i buy a used big baby or a used martin? I dont want to spend over 300 and i found them both on used guitarcenter

  • @asf1187 go with a martin, solid

  • @CarsonsGuitarLesson

the martin sounds dead. i tried both before bringing home the taylor.

  • @asf1187 Buy the Martin. Having one I always wanted a Taylor until Bob Taylor showed how he made his guitars in his shop. All people do is add alittle glue here and there machines do all the cutting, fitting and clamping. Machine even shapes the neck. They sound great but without humans building, you lose what the guitar is all about. Plug it into your PC and let another machine play it. Martins cost alot because they are hand made. Taylors production line looks like walmart

  • You made my day cltinseattle1.

We're on the same wave length....ha!

    Have a great day,

    John

  • Dude . . . y'all cracked me up!!! Find a happy place! "One pill makes you larger and one pill makes you small and the ones that mother gives you don't do anything at all."

  • I would buy a Big Baby.

    More sound.

    Full Tone.

Feels almost full sized/comfy in your lap.

The Big Baby (in it's travel bag) is still easy to travel with or to slide in the car for a car trip.

I bought my Big Baby used on ebay for $300.

Watch craigslist and ebay (or just buy a new one for $450).

The smaller Baby is great for airline travel or trips where you have very limited space for a guitar but the Big Baby is my favorite.

  • Thanks for your reply and sharing, you are so nice~ ^^ thanks.

  • Thanks your video~

    Thanks so much!!!!

Because I am considering which one to buy. Can you please give me some comments? =)

  • @vivianki
