Gee, we had a certian Democratic Gov here a few years ago that they stuffed some clothes with straw and put her name on the shirt, a noose around its neck, hoisted it to a tree and one of he deputies lit it onfire at the succession rally. No one complained about that, I don't see what the fus is here either.

I believe that when the USA was founded it was a White Christian nation, but now, it obviously isn't. Legal immigration has made our country great. But, sadly, I don't think that George Washington would ever imagine a black president. I don't even think that they thought there would be no more slavery in a hundred years. But now, we have people from every nation in America. Is that a good thing? No. Is that a bad thing? No. Race is random and neutral. All are equal. But I don't like Obama.

In all my readings, and I've done a fair amount on christian america, we were NOT a christian nation. My favorite read was "Founding Faith" written by christian author Steven Waldman. As for if it's a good thing how we've progressed morally, not ure why you said no... it IS a great thing. In respect to Obama, he has still a long ways to go before history decides if he was the "answer" to Americas problems... I think he's already made some mistakes, but I dont have access to his intell...
