I have also the acer aspire one and with windows xp world of warcraft is just slow..even on every setting set to lowest i get depending on the area crossroads for example 9 fps and in buildings or instances up to 25.

Does anybody know if it would boost the fps to upgrade to 2 gb ram?

Or change the OS to Windows 7?

yeah it may help, upgrading to windows 7 will not make it faster because it will require more RAM than windows xp does.

works well, i've tried on mine already.. got a acer aspire1 w/160gb hd and a mobile internet and it worked well.. not like you want to raid, but casual gaming.. dailies.. leveling.. AH etc.. works fine :) cheers,

blizzard doesnt randomly give out "private servers" A.K.A. PTRs its b4 a major patch or a similar event to test out the content and find bugs and to nerf shit on time rofl

That isnt a private server retard, it is a test realm. Used for testing for bugs and game balance.

Not for giving payers a free max level character in raid gear.

yes the online downloads take about 7-15 hours sometimes just leave it overnight and it should be done in the morning.

haah nice man, im abou to buy this laptop, was not sure if you could play wow on it or not. i have heard from some ppl that it is great for it and some ppl that it sucks for it, but some ppl might just have shit for internet, i have some of the best and fastes you can get so, that might make a diff.

It works pretty fine, about 20 fps. Tho in cities it drops into 10, or lower :p But its good for gold farming, and maybe for leveling too.

Yeah, if you are gonna play WoW alot, you should put it on your desktop. FPS = Frames per second, so if its low, its gonna be a little laggy, and slow. Maybe someone else could explain it better :D But just remember to put settings to the lowest :p

ow haha, well, if you got any friends playing on real wow. You should try to get em to recruit you, so you can use the recruit-a-friend thing. You'll get triple xp with it, and some other features, I did it with my friend. It was sooo fast leveling :p

I am a WOW player and was thinking about getting this acer netbook for the cost just for internet, music, and minor games like halo 1 but now knowing that WOW i am sold. But for all that play games on this and don't have a cd drive to hook up all you have to do is either put the cd on a desktop and copy the files over to a storage device to install without the cd or you can install it then copy the game over to move to the netbook. If you are looking to buy WOW it doesn't require a cd to play

I can't support you with getting the XP Tweak / Lite edition. You can do alot of tweaks on yourself, check: tweakxp(dot)com it increased alot of the game performance.
