  • I think that this is my favorite song that Cherie sings lead on (Of course Cherry Bomb's always gonna be a classic, never-get-tired-of-hearing-it-song), but there's more emotion and story behind this song. If people had taken The Runaways more seriously back then, this song (And several of their other songs) could've been a big hit, I bet.

  • I love this song and I think it is one of their best.Well done.

  • I thought that pictures where Cherrie is almost naked were censored, I read that somewhere..

  • I meant to say Lita not little

  • at 0:26 it is crystal clear that little did not wear underwear under those shorts.

  • The Queens of Noise!

  • They should just reform for one tour. Everyone wants to see them again. Suzi Quatro can play bass and there are plenty of good female drummers who could do Sandy's style

  • @lunaboomboom Yeah but i don't think that the girls want to have an other drummer...

  • I love the runaways, they were awesome.. wish there existed a band like this today!! <3

  • I fucking want that book.

  • The Runaways is one of the most awesome groups ever, I wish that they do some type of reunion:)

  • @ChasminJones21 they won't because Lita's ego is too big, Sandy is dead, Jackie can't play anymore, Joan has her own band and Cherie doesn't perform much anymore

  • I absolutely love this song. So many childhood memories. I loved Runaways in the 70´s. Absolutely loved them.

  • Ahh,this takes me back! I was lucky to be a teenager in the 70's! The runaways and the 70's rule!!!!

  • They are great.

  • Love this song??? Who's on the vocals????

  • @purplerainhearts cherrie currie and joan is the one saying , " Stop, Learn, Listen"...

  • @xPinkCynx it's stop, look, listen to my heartbeat. listen closely

  • wow whoever has that book is lucky

  • Good Girls Rock! Young.

  • I could listen to this song all day, I just love it

  • no arguments here ladies, but my teachers, parents, bro and my one and only sis said thr egg comes first, not last.FUCKING DEAD BRILLIANT the last 2 songs were anyway

  • guitar-sound from another dimension...especially in the solo

  • I love all this song!

  • well, i'll just have to get that one next. my goal is to get all of them

  • what album is this one off of? I only have the greatest hits right now, so I don't know. i'm getting the self-titled album this week, but I don't remember seeing this song on it

  • @ahadnagy167 Queens Of Noise :)

  • awsome song

  • The wailing on that lead guitar is sexier than hell.

  • stop. look. listen. to my heartbeat... love this song.

  • loooove it!!

  • these girls are the best!!!!! I wish there was a band like this out today, instead of all the shit that's playing now. if the Runaways were around today, i'd be the happiest person alive

  • Are some of these photos from when cheri had that shoot by herself? Im going by the movie so correct me if im wrong.

  • R.I.P. Sandy West you were the heart beat of The Runaways and always will be <3

  • The Runaways kicked wide open the gates for generations of all-girls rock n roll bands; but the most impressive is how radical they are in fit all the needs: they are the FIRST, the BEST, the BIGGER, the YOUNGER and the most TRAGIC. This finished any discussions. Perfect. A band made by God!

  • @Hacker73 Soooo true dude! The Runaways kicked Major ASS!

  • i love runaways ,my best song for lp queen of noise 1977

  • Jackie originally wrote this song as a mock love song for Joey Ramone originally named “Joey”

  • It' always refreshing how 'lost' songs like that can sound brightest and funniest than today's 'work songs' or 'big hits'.

That's one more proof about how 70's RAW rock is SUPERIOR.

And,,, yeah, you get it: that's why I DON'T HEAR ANY NEW MUSIC since 1994.

Fuck off all the new rock.

I had enough. I have the best: I have The Runaways.

  • i wish their music was in our generation instead of my moms:/

  • @purplerosebabe

Same here! We would've appreciated more. XD

  • A time traveler would fall in love with the 70's era!

  • I use to see them in bars for free, joan was a tomboy when we were growing up in maryland,I had the biggest crush on her when I was fifthteen

  • Love, love, love the guitar parts in this song

  • Am I wrong or Slash stole the beginning riff of this song and put it in Paradise City? At least they sound really similar...

  • @9MyChemicalRomance99

The guitar parts in this song definitely have that Slash "mid neck solo" sound don't they?

  • i miss The Runaways!!

  • seeing this you can't help wonder how it must feel for cherie to see herself in this situation, which cost her so much. all that talent and all that damage from those who should have protected her. & Joan really the one to walk away & make what she's built with BH. You can almost believe she walked away undamaged until you realize her dream was an all GIRL group and she has worked an all-male group since. the Runaways paid a hella price for their gift to us-- where would we be without em?

  • My favorite song by The Runaways. I like to listen to this song while watching the Heartbeat Scene from the drama/thriller Lipstick (1976) film. The haunting guitar solo really fits with that dark creepy scene that someone posted onto Youtube.

  • BEST FEMALE SINGERS:

Cherie Currie. Tina Turner. Johnette Napolitano. Ann Wilson. Annie Lennox.

Chrissie Hynde. Suzi Quatro. Donita Sparks. Marie Friedriksson. Suzi Gardner.

Irene Cara. Kim Carnes. Linda Lewis. Kate Bush. Cass Elliott. Randy Bush.

  • @Hacker73 Don't forget, Nick GIlder and Joan Jett!

  • Emotionally very pure song. I love it

  • Love it.

  • What book are the photos of? (:

  • Omgee .. Beautiful song ! they make me hate my generation .. really .. I love you gurls <3

  • I'm waiting on a Runaways reunion. I know we (fans) lost Sandy West, but it would still be cool

  • i just wish i went back in time for a week in the 70's that was the time were people lived their lives!

  • The Runaways are timeless.

  • where do u get the pictures?

  • How can anyone not fall in love with the girls (well, women now) after hearing this masterpiece.

This song, along with Led Zeppelin's Tangerine are two of the most beautiful rock songs, in my humble opinion.

Man, I wish I could've seen both bands live.

At least the music lasts forever. :)

  • thanks for the upload!!! i listen to this everyday in my workout as a break before i get goin agaun

  • im a big fan of the runaways

  • i born in wrong generation so bad that i dont have that power to bring em back

  • i was born in the wrong generation too

  • this is so pretty

  • Yeah... I love you The Runaways, Divas....

  • Yeahhh! I love you The Runaways. Divas....

  • its girls like them and janis joplin and so on and so on that really pathed the way for all rockers today.

  • @Breana9109 Agreed! These girls are amazing

  • im a teenager and i say TURN UP THE FUCKING RUNAWAYS! HELL YEAH.

  • What's cool is they play the best music AND are as sexy as can be.

I don't think they would be big now if they had just come onto the scene today. Most people like the same predictable crap. This would scare them. And the media just wouldn't pay much attention to them and they wouldn't be overcommercialized like the crappy 'artists' are in our day.

  • I hear ya 90's was the best time for sex, drugs and rock&role!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @RainbowNinjas1 90's? rock&role? FTW

  • haha If these pictures were in today's magazines, of a girl band of 16-ish year olds in bathing suits, there be a big hoopla!!

think taylor lautner's half naked-ness (sorry for the twilight reference, was the most recent example i could think of!)

  • What was so great about them was that they were just great hardcore rock and roll chicks. they did not have all the fancy gimmicks that most performers have today.

  • I wish I could go back to the 70s and see them.

  • Wow, that solo is beautiful.

  • i have to say the people we veryyyy verryy lucky to grow up wit tis music it must have been awsome to live in that time period

  • I love the Runaways.

  • My youth, sexy chicks that play Rock´n roll...me - 14 year old kid trying to fit in.

  • I need an all-girl rockband in our age, with concerts and albums and etc.

  • @PlantBia ikr!

  • @nataliejacksondance hate to burst your bubble, but in the 70s the runaways were seen that way too. especially by their manager. they weren't particularly good musicians, apart from maybe lita. from these press clippings i can see that fowley went the "loli idols" marketing route in japan. like the band, but urgh.

    懐かしいです。

    ありがとうございます。

    Thanks for uploading!!

    Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My favorite Runaways song...

  • Brilliant song. One small detail changed music. It went from bands like The Runaways, The Clash, The Ramones etc. To justin bieber and Miley Cyrus! Today its not the music, Its the image. and no songs out now have any meaning apart from partying. We need more people like Joan Jett in the music industry nowadays. Someone that really knows good music.

  • Hey Justin Bieber if you are out there THIS IS REAL MUSIC! Not your crapp.. now get outta here and give us back The Runaways!

  • I love the soung when they sing "stop, look, listen".

  • God Bless you Sandy.....Never a beat goes on without you

  • Beautiful vocals.

  • amazing!!! Cherie's voice stands out in this song. I love it! and Lita's solo...oh I love these chicks!

  • @horrorgrrl11 .....If these chicks were just coming on the scene today I think they would be superstars, compared to much of the lame music that's around now...

  • EU amo vocês!Vocês são insubistituíveis CONCERTEZA!

    Kisses of Brazil

  • i'm 15 and i love em' lady gaga justin bieber kesha and blah blah blah are nothing!!! ROCK AND ROLL TIL THE END OF THE WORLD

  • im 13 and theyre like my favorite band ever. i dont like all that new crap. suxx. 70s 80s & 90s were the best everr. Live for rock:)

  • I love The Runaways....

    && i'm 17.

  • I am 17 and I love The Runaways ♥

  • damn, its nice to know that teenagers still listen to rock :)) (Y) a very few of them but still... :))

  • @demetiram yeah, there still are a few:)).I'm almost 16 and me and my friends listen to bands like Led Zeppelin,Jimi Hendrix,Beatles,Runaways,Aerosmith,The Clash and so on . These days there really isn't any new good music, with a few exceptions.

  • @SuperBezee I'm proud of you and your friends :DD

  • @SuperBezee ikr!

  • love the song! damn! i was really born in the wrong generation!!!

  • @gracie080390 hahaha i hear ya

  • @gracie080390 ditto...

  • The Runways rocks!!

  • @kelz923 thats holly crap! im 13 and i love the runaways and i really dont care what people think.

is awesome that your only 11 and you listen this kind of music, i would love to have a little sister like you;)

  • @AnnieMcDiaz hehehe (: but now i got some of my friends listening to the runaways some of them like it some of them dont .

  • @kelz923 Some of them suck

  • S*Sighs Dreamily* If only I could be born in 1950..... It would be awesome to be 15 during 1975.

  • @JJoanJJett You'd have been 25

  • @dreamerdoes 1960. Not fifty.

  • I only heard of the runaways last month and i FREAKING LOVE 'EM !!! XD BeST baNd EVA !!!! XX

  • im really diggin this song!

  • @kelz923 You know, that's my exact same situation at the moment. You rock. May the under thirteens get that this is where it's at. Lady Gaga can go jump in a shark pit for all I care. You're amazing, and I wish all my friends agreed.

  • @brainseatpeople1 Trust me, both of you, the people over thirteen get it too. But It's worse, because I have to deal with the stupid chattering and stealing of my iPod and ripping on the Runaways every single day, and these are teenagers who can say much worse things than someone under 13. Trust me. But, screw them all, I'll listen to what I want to. Stay that way, and don't ever change. You'll be a better person than Miley Cyrus will ever be.

  • Why do the greatest bands have to be SO under-rated and so under-appreciated? Simple: the Industrial "Music" SHITSTEM is ruled by PERVERT PSICHOPATICS who only want sell ROTTEN UGLY SHIT FAKES such as Madonna and Gaga and they want made us all a bunch of billions of MOROMS with NO sense of good taste for so good things and REAL TALENTED ARTISTS such as Concrete Blonde, Runaways, Bolshoi, Alphaville, Irene Cara, Sinead O'Connor, Kim Carnes, Sandra, Laura Branigan, Randy Bush, Suzi Quatro...

  • @brainseatpeople1 lol thanks (:

  • @kelz923 Never ever listen to those people. Those people were dropped as babies and ate led paint.

  • great song I always liked them a lot

  • @kelz923 fair play to you i say, i was the same when i was your age. it don't matter what's cool or not it's how it sounds and relates to you!! well done treacle hugz .

  • @darrelja lolzz .

  • They still rock. Joan Lita.

  • By far and away their best song. Who would think its over 30 yrs old. I find my singing stop, look, listen! Great guitar. Some rock group should redo this. It deserves another spin.

  • Comment removed

  • io che sono donna le avrei suprate ò.ò ma i maschi che seguivano i loro concerti che facevano??

  • they fuckin rock other then the drug thing thay are damn good they should do a come back tour doing all of there old stuff

  • this blows me mind! pukkaXXX

  • spellbinding true n true zzxxz!!!!

  • at 1:50, striking resemblance to dakota fanning.

  • @SimonMiriamfan go f**k yourself. if you cant appreciate this work of musical art then you have no idea what music IS. go back down to your mommas basement and listen to fleetwood mack. don't expect to meet anyone with that kind of attitude towards women either ass hole.

  • @SimonMiriamfan Jesus Christ, then don't watch the video !!!

  • @SimonMiriamfan For the record.. Lita is NOT flat-chested. Not even close.

  • joan jett got nicer body than cherie curry... just my opinion.. peace!

  • Thanks ! These girls ROCKS !

  • make a movie of this...their best song and they had no idea...nice management:p

  • Man awesome song choice and awesome lyrics Cherie Currie is so hot!!!

  • the runaways were the most gratefull band! my faveroite.

  • awesome video and awesome lyrics. cherie curry, joan jett, and jackie fox

  • it seems kinda like a memorial video... ya know? as if the runaways were just some one hit wonder that disapeared without a trace...but they didn't. (p.s., @ 2:09, was cherie in a mens magazine or something?very explicit.)

  • I especially when they sing "stop, look, listen".

  • beautiful

  • Used to chill to this song back in the day.

  • i like this song the guitar rifts the singing makes this song timeless

  • see nowadays no girl band would be able to rise to rock stardom without the press narrowing them down to sex icons and hot girls who play instruments on the side. girls who wanna be like the guys but will never be quite as good. chicks who are punks, not real rockers.

    ugh.

    long live the runaways.

  • @nataliejacksondance oh you are so right....I am so glad they didn't use their looks or wear corsets and pinties on stage..

  • gprof69@shamous66611 Yes, you're right. No selling of sex with this group. Just that heavy punk attitude all the way

  • @gprof69 please tell me you picked up on the sarcasm

  • @shamous66611 yeah they may have been sexualised

But you could never accuse Cherie of lip syncing

    Just a thought

  • @shamous66611 I picked up on the sarcasm immediately. Some are just a little slooow. Good bit.

  • The Runaways were viewed the same way. Things have not changed :-(

  • @nataliejacksondance Hey, that's what the music industry thought back when Joan Jett and the Runnaways were first starting. Look how that turned out? :)

  • my fave part was 1:35 Joan is very beautiful in there

  • whats the meaning of this song?

  • whats the song with lyrics "over and over.." by the runaways thnx...

  • @xoxMARSVAxox crimson and clover...and I think it's just by Joan Jett

  • @reed9080468 thnx...

  • @xoxMARSVAxox Crimson and Clover, by Joan Jett's Blackhearts.

  • love the guitar

  • i love this song the best one they did.

  • Sooo hot.

  • i think queens of noise is the best in my humble opinion...this song is on there...

  • whats their best album?im trying to download one but i dont wich one is the best...from the songs i heard here on youtube, this is the best!

  • Love the singing and music on the verse, the change in tempo and maybe even style in the chorus is a liitle strange but is probably due to their musical influences at the time. Lita and Cherie were fantastic on this though.

  • Cherie did sing good...this song is the testament what could have become......

  • luv the runaways

  • Great vocals from Cherie. Lita's guitar is great too. Always loved this song

  • I think the vocals and mixing are great in this song

  • This is a great song...I remember it from way back...it doesn't get played on radio here.... so the "TO MY HEARTBEART" part sung by Jett or is it Cherie?? to me this is one of their coolest songs
