  • Thanks for posting the video!

It's been forever since I've used this method and I've long since forgotten how to do it until now.

    Thanks again for the upload.

    Now I'll be more efficient.

  • 0.o ... *faints* Anyway~ Ugh, I'm from Tennessee, I should already have known what the inside of a fish looked like xD Thank you very much. I've been curious for a while as to how to do that, but when I try to find these videos every fish seems to be skinned alive. I can't watch that!

  • What kind of scissors are those. Great video. Thanks

  • Awesome vid. Just came back to the house with 5 trout I caught from a stocked pond. Never cleaned trout, only bass crappie and catfish. This is definately way easier. Thanks a lot. Just ate two for lunch, pond to plate in under 2 hours. Only way it would be fresher was if I ate them on the bank.....

  • This seems a lot easier than some of the other preparation videos that basically have the person hacking slabs of the meat away instead of taking off the extremity's in a particular order, peeling off the skin and just cleaning away the blood and non-meat. Thank you! This way leaves so much more meat to be eaten!

  • nice sizes!

  • Well done!

  • I find this easy to masturbate to

  • Thank you, very informative.

may be a dumb question but i didnt notice you debone the trout. Do they not require deboning? i know with salmon theres plenty of little pin bones... Or once skined and cleaned are trout ready to eat?

  • You sir are a boss!

  • After spending roughly 60mins on youtube looking for a method of preparing trout, this is definitely the best method I've seen. Informative and helpful to say the least!

  • do you ever cook your trout with the head on

  • Who do you think filmed him? The wife duh

  • I can imagine the look on his wifes face when she sees her sink full of dead fish

  • Awesome! I never knew you could skin a trout so easily. Thanks!

  • this dude does it so smooth and looks like an easy job...

  • Whats the best method to cook it? great vid by the way, learned alot.

  • the skin is the best part of the trout to eat, don't know why people remove it

  • Now I'm fucking hungry

  • Thank you for this video.. Not looking forward to the cleaning process, but this appears to be relatively simple the way you've done it on here. Thank you again!

  • very informative

  • Yep... hungry already...

  • this is awesome!!

  • Would this routine work with large sardine

  • Will this work for Catfish and wide and smallmouth bass?

  • Just use rubber gloves when removing the guts. This was a good tutorial.

  • This made me hungry for some fish.

Regardless of the fact that you said anus.

  • i've never heard of deboning fish after cooking. how is that done?

  • daaaawwggggg... thanks this helpd alot

  • lol. i can catch fish but i am to disgusted to gut and skin them. Do you get used to it after you do it a couple of times>?

  • @hyunki0510 My wife used to be disgusted with cleaning fish until I showed her this method. You will get used to it after few.

  • @zurCekiM in my state, you need a license to catch and kill trout.-.- will this method work for other freshwater fish?

  • @hyunki0510 stop bein a pussy and get ya hands dirty

  • @HaamSammich lol. don't worry. i can gut fish now without a problem.

  • @hyunki0510 i use to be exactly like that. i just did what he did on the tutorial and now i go catch about 30-40 trout a week and clean them/sometimes not even to eat just to practise

  • @xXxSIGNITxXx bro, that's what over fishing is and not eating them? shame on you. If you aren't going to eat them, why would you kill them. Otherwise your lying or you are seriously causing a big problem for the trout population in your area.

  • @hyunki0510 the stream i live by has an average of about 20-25,000 natural trout a year. no need to stock em just catch em

  • @xXxSIGNITxXx damnnnnn... wish i didn't have a limit to fish.

  • @hyunki0510 by clean and dont eat i also mean that I give the fillets to my cousins local resturante

  • Amazing!

  • wow thats alot of fish, how do u de-bone them?

  • @CI321 It's easier to de-bone them once cooked.

  • @zurCekiM so once the fish is say grilled, the bones will be falling off the mean per say?....have you ever had red lobster's rainbow trout...i am trying to do my fish exactly like they do theres

  • @CI321 dee, dee , dee....Hello carlos!!!!

  • Thank god there's someone on YouTube who does it the way I was thought!! Good vid!

  • Just started fly fishing.... This helped out a great deat..

  • I wonder how many people saw the likes were at 420 then changed their mind about liking it.

  • What other kinds of fish does this work with?

  • vent

  • Excellent video. There are so many terrible videos on YouTube on how to clean and prep trout. Yours is pretty much perfect. Kudos

  • haha anus

  • Thank you for this.. easiest way I've ever skinned a fish...

  • thats incredible!!! i have never done it like this!! i used to take the back of the knife and scrape all the scales off the fish (10 mins) then do the cutting up the belly. i never used the trick with the head of the fish so this took around 5 mins to get all the guts out and another couple mins for the bloodline. i never actually cut the fins off, but this is incredibly helpful. im definately liking and favoriting and will be sure to try this method out in the future. thanks again!

  • I just followed your instructions.... works like a charm!!

  • Having never fished a day in my life, I think I could actually do this! (providing my stomach holds out -LOL) Thanks for the great vid.

  • you had me at "shove the scissors in it's anus" ;D

  • nice catch LOL

  • Thanks, helpful!

  • what was pretty graphic D:

  • why you thrownin away the skin??? thats the best part

  • I tried this method and it was kind of hard the first time, but it got surprisingly easier the more I did it. Really smart idea, good job!

  • Can that method work for catfish as well?

  • @williams51210 This will not work on catfish. Catfish skin is very tough and can be a chore to remove. This method works best on the trout and salmon families.

  • "Shove the scissors in its anus.. haha."

    Nice.

  • awesome vid dud!! Can you do that with other kind of fish too?

  • This helped alot thanks :D

  • thanks!

  • You're a pro. Thanks!

  • Thanks this video helped a lot.

  • anus

  • Can you post how to catch a trout ??? lol going back to work on my bucket list and attempt here by the Colorado River. What bait you use?

  • @mightyc20 there is countless lures for trout and verry inexpensive like 3-4 bucks at walmart

  • thanks man that was really helpful. you can tell that you've cleaned a prettty good amount of fish in your time!

  • Can you clean and gut just aobut any fish as easily as this?

  • Damn dude. They way you cut makes it look so damn easy and clean lol good vid

  • Thats a hell lot of trout

  • he he he anus.

  • "What I'm gonna do is shove the scissors in it's anus," - You know you were amused. Dont lie.

  • ive never done this before but now im pretty confident im gonna gut the shit out of the next decent fish I catch! and pretty confident Im gonna be a little grossed out too lol. good vid!

  • Just cleaned my first trout (first one to ever clean myself that is, have caught many before lol). Thanks for the vid!

  • Was the Fish Alive Plesse tell me If it was alive

  • @TheNameIzMatt if it was alive it would be moving and or trying to breath... no, it was dead. you can see that it has been dead for sometime because rigor mortis had began to set in.

  • Very helpful and easy man, preciate it

  • Great video,I've been fly fishing for years and have never bothered taking the skin off but after watching your vid,I do it all the time now.A lot of people like the to leave the skin on,but to be honest it does taste better without. thanks alot

  • Thanks for sharing this knowledge, doesn't seem so daunting now! Gunna give a try now with my little rainbow trouts!

  • @Faeku: Did you even read the description before you posted???????? ;-)

  • Great video man! Helped me a lot

  • so cool thanks! i love fishing but ive never gone trout fishing this will help alot

  • It looks like one of the fish is watching you dissect the fish.

  • Great technique!

  • can you do that with a bass

  • Awesome way usually i do it all w/ my fingers i cut it then i just clean it all out w/ my fingers but this ways faster so thnx

  • thank you. now I know how to clean a fish and knowing is half the battle. :)

  • It looks so good. Lucky guy to have fresh trout!

  • this is a great vid ! i'm probably going to watch over and over and over again!

  • i prefer fileting not so distgusting lol id rather not have to snap the neck ewwww....

  • ya dont gut a fish with fucking scissors!

  • wow thanks, this looks a lot easier than i thought it would

  • I was just up at Camanche last Saturday and saw a man cleaning exactly like this technique. Very clean and simplified compared to my friend's measure of using my knife, tossing guts everywhere. Thanks for the great tutorial!

  • Thanks this is a great video.

  • Comment removed

  • Fast and easy !!!

  • Woah o.o" this is a very good method of gutting and skinning a fish

  • I really enoyed how easy you make it look! It is so smart to use scissors. Thanks for posting this video!

  • don't eat them from N.J. You'll die from the toxins and pcbs!

  • We always eat the skin to. Why take it off? Your badass tho. Takes me a lot longer.

  • thank you so much..

  • Can this work with any fish?

  • So practical kan! thanks man, People like you make youtube an assett!

  • How do you bone it?

  • @SanasSweetMode answer 1: you fry it or bake it and just "pick" down the back bone and just eat it off the bone. just be careful. answer 2: i dont think god wants you to have sex with fish.

  • awsome man. Definitly going to do this next time i clean trout or really anything else. So how many trout did you catch anyway

  • Wow. You make it look so easy! I'll give it a try someday.

  • that was freakin cool.

  • its funny how iv been looking up for videos to clean fish. and it took me 30 mins. then watch them and it took an 1 hour. and this video only took 2mins and 5 sec to watch. Nice video

  • I ended up getting a nice set of culinary scissors from Cabela's. The scissors were around $6.00. I'll be using this method on those trout from Loon Lake next year. Thanks for posting.

  • Wow you are the man! You make it look soo easy!

  • That works well! Thank you!

  • This demo of how to clean a trout is excellent, after watching it a couple of times I confidently gutted and cleaned the first Rainbow Trout i caught to eat, which was a 4 pounder. It took me longer than you but your self assured technique was in my mind. I didn't skin it but tried to fillet it then baked it with lemon and thyme, very tasty. Your scissors also seem to do the job better than mine, many thanks for a great little video.

  • really great job bro.

    where do u fish?

  • nicely done, you're a pro!

  • Like a boss

  • Great video. Thanks

  • @jkelly6620 Are you from 6620 Power Inn, Sacramento? .......Mike Cruz

  • @zurCekiM like the vedio but filleting them is easyier

  • That red stuff you lastly washed out wasn't blood, it was the kidneys.

  • @Jusarius83 Cool thanks. I never knew their kidney ran along their spine like that. I always thought trout kidneys were inside the body cavity.

  • @zurCekiM Yeah its definitely blood. Its called 'the blood line' for a reason lol. the kidneys are in the body cavity yes.

  • @zurCekiM Yeah that was Kidney, the only reason I know that is because I played a dissecting game about fish. Plus I know that it isn't all stored in one area because the fish wouldn't survive, also because I see vanes in my fish sticks at school(O_O, their fish is horrible).

  • Great, now if I'm stuck next to a lake with just scissors, I can survive(I can think up how to catch them without the stick). Thanks for the vid!

  • @Jusarius83 Actually, it was the liver...

  • @Supermassively No it wasn't. The liver is located more dorsally in the body cavity. That was definitely the kidneys.

  • Great way of cleaning a fish. What brand of scissors are those.

  • @qwikfish1 I think I bought those scissors at either Ikea or Dollar Tree.

  • @zurCekiM so are they just some random crappy scissors?

  • @qwikfish1 Harbor Freight has them for a buck or two

  • That was a nice lesson. I never knew it was that easy. Your a good teacher. What type of fish are those? Where did you catch them? Like what lake/ocean/state did you catch them. I only ask b/c my husband went fishing in the ocean by our home and caught a lot of fish and thru them back b/c nobody in our house knows how to clean a fish. Ohhh wait I see you caught trout (sorry). Do you clean all fish the way you cleaned the trout you caught?Thank for answering all my questions.Nice catch too.Smiles

  • @ohpineapples These trout were caught at Boca Reservoir near Truckee, California, USA. I clean most of the fish I catch this way (except for the skinning) when I don't want fillets.

Thank you for your positive comments!!

  • You got alot of fish there, did you catch all of them in that same day?

  • @DaggersDen They were all caught in one day. We kept 15 fish (most were bleeders) between 7 anglers.

  • @zurCekiM Geez, you had lady luck on your side that day.

  • Awesomely helpful!

  • Thanks for the video :D though do you have ideas on how to get rid of the bones easily?

  • that's really easy! Thanks! I was just trying to clean some bluegill and failed miserably. this is a big help.

  • take a pair of scissors, and shove it in its anus lolololol sounds funny

  • do u have to start cutting it's stomach at the anus? can't u just start in the lower part of the stomach so u don't cut the bladder?

  • @kj40000 I guess you can. I have never punctured the bladder by cutting from the anus. It's important that you do not force the scissors all the way into the center fish, but rather deep enough to cut the fish open.... Now let's go fishing!!!!

  • thanks mate this has been a great help

  • Awesome !

    Hey !

I'm going Bass fishing. Please make a video "How to clean and skin a Bass" !!!

  • thank you !

  • make a vid of u cleaning a fish in a minute that would be fucking awesome =D

  • DAMN MAN! where did you catch all those trout?!?!?

  • that was awesome man

  • OW?

  • Huh. It's really that easy to get the guts out? Wow, that convenient.

  • nice technique

  • Very nice and short video. A+

  • thanks alot

  • does this work with all fish or just trout

  • Wooah!! Cool video, really nice method...actually It doesn't look so( damnd) grose as some others.... I must try it onmy next "cookin' day" :)

  • can you just cook it and then eat it and discard bones as you eat or is it just better to debone it?

  • @camaroracer454 I debone my trout after its cooked. I'll have to make a deboning video while raw and while cooked this winter.

  • @camaroracer454 yes but yu may miss some so i fined it better to do i this way you can also see food net work to see if there are mor videos on his

  • MMmmm...blood.

  • where'd you catch all those trout and with what?

  • This is a good video, I had problems cleaning a corvine, thanks man

  • Very nice! I never knew how to do this =] learn something new every day.

  • yummy.

  • This is a great (and very helpful) video! Thanks so much!

  • fucn eh! pro

  • thanks WOW that is so much easier

  • What if I want to eat the skin?

  • dam nice fishing day ehh?

  • Thanks for the video Im fishing next week I didnt know gutting was this easy I heard you can ruin the mean if you cut the urine sack
