These guys learned there lessons well from listening to early rock. Buddy Holly's way of writing songs was a big influence on them. They made it thier own. As Dick Clark said "They were music makers". Great melodeys great and creative hook lines ; they knew how to please the masses at that time Better yet they were all very talented-great team I was 14 when they came to America and I learned how to play as well from listening to them. But I'm still awed at thier song writing they did back then.
