The song "A Friend Of Yours" dates from the first half of 1945, so the clip would be from around that period. Nelson sang with the Chico Marx orchestra in 1942, leaving in mid-July to join Glenn Miller until 27 September, 1942 when Miller disbanded. Skip then sang with Tommy Dorsey for at least part of 1943, and with Guy Lombardo in 1944, before joining Glen Gray.

can't tell you exactly but I do know that Nelson sang with the Guy Lombardo band for a brief period in the 40's, probably during the war years.
