  • Was in section 333 for this series.

The Coliseum was as loud as it had ever been since the cups years. They said the Isles would not make the playoffs, they said the Isles would be lucky to win a game against Washington, they said the Isles had no business being on the same ice as the Pens and that we would get swept.

By the time the Canadiens series came, they weren't saying SHIT.

  • Watching this tape, it strikes me how stacked the Penguins were: Lemieux, Stevens, Tocchet, Jagr, Francis...dayum. Their goaltending was kinda weak though. Barrasso gave up goals he shouldn't have.

  • Holy crap. How many shorthanded goals did the Islanders have in this series?

  • This Penguin team was stacked, pretty unbelievable the Isles beat them without their best player.

  • I am a Ranger fan from Long Island, who went with my buddy, a penguin fant to this game so of course I rooted 4 the pens. This is still one of the most exciting sporting events I have ever been to in my life. A perfect day xcept 4 some drunk Isles fan trying to fight my 15 yr old buddy, thankfully some very cool Isles fans intervened. The guy was like 35, he should have been ashamed of himself. Even though I am a Ranger fan, I really want the Isles to do well so they dont leave NY. Luv da Rivlry

  • Put more classic series up please best show ever

  • the day i was born

  • aw man...fitzgerald always beating us...islanders always beating us...ugh...

  • Tom Fitzgerald was a Penguin killer in the 90s, particularly 93 and 96. The ironic thing is that he's now part of the Penguins organization.

    Go Pens!

  • The other bit of irony is that he was supposed to be in the penalty box for those two goals, not Claude Louiselle.

  • @terickson82 His SH goals here were on the same Pens PP! I believe he's one of only a few to score two shorties on the same PP in playoff history. Maybe the only one.

  • i like the video

  • A great job. Jagr has the most skilful hands much like Lemieux.

  • THANKS AGAIN FOR POSTING THESE! yOU DID A GREAT JOB, i APRRECIATE IT!
