  • what a bullshit...

  • Their entire methodology is flawed in every possible way.

    Busted my ass

  • Russians are busted this!watch "ruski surfing" and you will see what is surfing on Russian way ;)

  • myth busting kooks~!!

  • fake and gay

  • thats bullshit coulda caught that easy

  • And did not they think about the ecological disaster that they provoked in the whole aquatic life of the lake?

  • I think what they're tryin to say is "don't have fun kids! your nuts will fall off!! Seriously don't do it! It doesn't work. Fun is actually a fake word that was invented by communists..."

  • man the robot was paddling supr slow i surf and i paddle way faster then that

  • uhhhh that barney robot wasn't not paddling fast enough to catch any wave.

  • Well this is a surfers perspective.

    A. You don't need to be near the explosion to ride the wave.

    B. A wave breaks on the shore, not out in deep water.

    C. Need a lot more dynamite than that.

    D. Dynamite surfing is defiantly possible!

C.How much would it suck to be the asian guy, he is never getting in that chick's pants LOL

  • All the idiots who think you can surf the wave in incorrect. Look up Quicksilver Dynamite Surfing. The guys caught and surfed the wave. The MythBusters are just pussies who don't wanna paddle into the. The shockwave won't kill you at that distance.

  • to deep

  • fucking losers, look up dynamite surfing quicksilver... this team of rednecks and an asian are just virgins that got out smarted.

  • it is not a good idea to post just a part of the episode because this video did not explain why Mythbusters use robot instead of real human surfer

  • enfia a dinamite no CU !!!

  • That robot cant paddle like a human DUMBFUCKS

  • @MADsKillZSURFER you have to watch the entire episode so you'll know why they use robots not real human, real human will get killed with the shock wave that produced by the bomb.

  • u nead a reals surfer!!

  • this does work because you arnt surfing correct and you didnt have enough speed

  • yeah smbor2 is right, but it was still a cool clip

  • If they had a better dynamite it would also work

  • if the water gradually went shallower it would of been totally possible

  • The mythbusters should have studied general wave dynamics. This was a deep quarry with no short shelf. Waves peek higher in shallow water. This answer certainly busts the mythbusters theory.

  • i live in florida, i would die to surf those waves

  • needs to hit shallower water losers

  • i coulda got onto that wave!?!? stupid robot, why dont they get in the water..

  • they are a bunch of idiots - there were some guys that did that in Denmark on a lake inside Copenhagen.

Their credibility is below zero ;)

  • its because a robot dont now how to surf put kelly slater there he can surf a pool

  • OK so you did it wrong, like alot of other things you supposedly bust.

  • this test was poorly conducted.

  • BS...1st of all.could they catch a wave in the ocean w/ that joke of a robosurfer(all the weight is on the back of the board, keeping it from being able to decend the wave face on the take off),and 2nd how deep is the water where they blew the dynamite?what on the bottem does the wave have to break off of?Wow.if this is what deems you a scientist with credibility, then this world is in big trouble.

  • Kooks, that was a horrible experiment, I hope those wannabe scientists dont actually call themselves scientists. There is so much more that goes into surfing than their dummy simulation could incorporate. kooks go home. . .

  • river is too deep....

  • This rely is not real becuase a surfer uses everymusle and balance to get into the wave so this is not true!!!!!

  • I'm disappointed. In myth buster fashoin they should have applied more tnt.

  • What a joke I could surf that wave, that robot is a kook.

  • there is also no way anyone could catch a wave paddling that slowly. No one could catch a wave of any kind paddling like that.

  • Yeah you suck mythbusters! They always mess up the experiments.

  • WELL MAYBE IF THOSE DUMASSES PUT MORE DYNAMITE IT MIGHT GET MORE BIGGER WAVES =] I WOULD FCK HER TO BRO HELL YEEA !!!

  • They simply need more TNT.

  • How many fish died in this stupid experiment. why did they not use a RC surfer...

  • @andreszampa because they arnt a fuckwit.

  • its a rock quarry should be shallower water

  • Those Guys are GAY !!!!

The bottom ,width, depth of the lake are all involved in creating the wave.

Not saying its possible, but to have a evidence its not possible,

theye should do it in different lakes.

  • Re. Dynamite Surfing,

The funnyest thing is the MythBusters tried to bust the Dynamite surfing myth from the original video for quick silver the ony problem was in the quicksilver video there are major diffrences for 1 deeper water, more powerful dynamite, and the biggest diffrence myself and the rest of youtube can see is the surfboard is bigger and the rider is a real person man i hate the myth busters if the can do there job right they should just quit.

    Yours Truley,

    AustralianMovies

  • yea mythbusters u suckkkkk

  • nice bang for the boom :)

  • Oh I hate the speaker. "to mauwi... bebebe" And these tv douchebags..

The explosion is VERY cool though!! :]

Bummer that its not catched from more angles.

  • fake and gay

  • Buy the way You can surf a dynamite wave

  • do they know how waves are made?

of course it wont work at this point.

to be fair, they shouldve bombed a deep spot so it flows to the shallow point.

    F^^k myth busters

  • The river is to deep, so it wil not roll -> so you can't surf here, but I think it's possible!!

  • This was done in my county you can not have a wave without bottom contour. The real vid was done in Amsterdam in a lock. Myth Busters are retarded

  • hahahahahahah the real video is not from amsterdam. its from denmark copenhagen. i live at the "lock" as you call. i heard when the bang got of. and the ground shaked like ass

  • opps denmark I miss quoted at least you where around for the explosion and to let people know it is real. did they do it in a pond or a river?

  • well this is more like a waterhole. its big but you can se both ends from that bridge. så i dont know the meaning of pond. but a river it is not. its a very quiet biiig waterhole

  • true true

  • Oh I see, replacing mens with robots (Knowing to me that you hate water), which robots are light a slow. Try using a 200 pound or 100 pound surfer and see if it works.

  • They dont wanna prove it works coz it's easy to make a big f off bomb and every nutter surfer would have a go lol

  • sand bar?? You need a sandbar!!

  • Nothing was busted. Waves turn into breakers because of the incline of the surface below the water. This test was done in a creek, and the surfer robot was paddling down the creek. There is no incline, so the waves don't break. Do the same test in a body of water that has the right incline, and see if it still debunks any myth. This shoudl be filed under "mythbuster fail".

  • u should wright to myth buster and tell them

  • you are corerect !"Waves turn into breakers because of the incline of the surface below the water." and he weight of the surfer(buster) wasn`t equal to a human-surfer ! SOMEBODY EMAIL THEM AND TELL TO RETRY THE TEST!

  • They can't use human people for those experiments I think...

  • plus it isnt a real surfer... i could catch that wave with my hands and feet tied up lol

  • Glad to see someone else knows how waves work. They tried to bust this myth in a rock quarry near where I live and the sides are supper steep no way for a wave to break . What really gets me is how supposedly educated people on that show did no research or even tried to call and speak with quicksilver the guys who made the original video.

  • @SecretSquirrel2010 They were trying to prove/disprove the Quicksilver video, which, if you look, probably had very similar conditions as the creek. In the correct conditions, yes, this could happen. But when doing scientific experiments, which apparently all these rednecks commenting on this video don't understand, the goal is to mimic the conditions. This is possible, but the [Quicksilver] video is not, therefore, it's busted.

  • @joshyhmarks not necessarily they tried to simulate similar conditions but i wouldn't say its the same as the quiksilver video... unless there is proof that the quiksilver video isn't real, I don't think this is busted at all

  • Quantos peixes morreram?

  • Myth no where near busted! The dummy paddled only skimming the surface of the water. Versus a surfer that digs deep with every paddle. And the dummy paddled 3 times slower then a surfer would. And yah I surf and am from hawaii.

  • 1:37-1:40 I see wave. explosion too small. Mythbusters FAIL!

  • kooks...i still wanna bone that chick though

  • lol

  • that is so surfable, and if you pause at 0:40 you can clearly see the white wash on the wave, but the gay robot was too far ahead. anyways.... there are so many missing components, like it depends on the geographical standards of the seafloor, like if there are shelfs or big rocks, and the water in the lake is probably a lot deeper than the origingal.

  • the said in the beginning 200 pounds.

  • It was too deep...the wave breaks depending on how deep it is....and you ride a wave that is broken, not just a fucking wave passing through a deep lake.

  • you have to throw it

  • i bet anyone a 1000$ dollars that if you did that where it was shallow enough and they had a REAL surfer, he could catch that damn wave

  • I absolutely agree with all of the posts that bash these dipshits who have no idea what they are doing AND, the worse, share it to the public

  • Fucking-homo-kook-nerds.

  • dumbasses

  • This stupids don't understand how a wave breaks over a shallow bottom. Who they think they are to make a wave test

  • guess what else ppl who think this isnt possible

a robot cant surf 4 shet

  • pussy non surfers, have never even seen the quicksilver vid where they actually do it, you need a shallow spot for the wave to break, pussy science guys should have brought in a pro to consult or read a paragraph about how waves break

  • I wonder what happend to the fish:D

  • it needs to be done with the wave going toward a shallow area so the wave has something to break on.! If a falling glacier can do it , why not an explosion?

  • lol its like surfing in a river mouth the well is there but it never will do anything

  • cool......it`s crazy!!!

  • Comment removed

  • fuck off

  • o nice man

  • Yeah the robot does move slow but what they are trying to say is that the wave had no energy to be called a surfable wave. if you look at the wave it doesnt break, its just a moving wall thats pretty much uncatchable and even if you "catch" it you wouldnt be able to do anything on it like the guy did on dynamite surfing. any "surfer" could see why this myth was busted.

  • Mythbouthers used a river where the depth is constant. A wave increases its amplitude as the depth decreases and speeds up due to conservation of mass. Hence there is more extractable energy on the surface and the wave can be utilised by the surfer. Furthermore this unstable amplitude from a transition to a shallower region will cause the wave to break. This myth has been poorly tested by not varying the depth of the water as the wave formed.

  • @smbor2 I hope they see your comment.

  • How can the size of the dynamite be the only factor in this bust? aint saying the surf is real.. but what about dept and how wide Peblinge sø is.. either this lake is to deep or else it to narrow so the waves thats hits the sand bank get pushed back and destroying the "Surfwave"

  • russian people do it better

  • in soviet russia, wave rides you

  • Waves break because it gets shallow, its clearly too deep.

  • right

  • you guys have no fuckin idea

  • imagine all the dead fish

  • I am a kook at surfing and I could of caught that ankle biter on my 7'6 kook board. I can't believe that dude was saying the surfing robot had plenty of speed.

  • The calculations were obviously wrong. Besides that stupid surfing robot had no speed coming into that wave. So, the myth is not busted. Poor effort mythbusters.

  • this video is bull sh!t. I surf almost everyday and for one teh water is prolly way too deep, and two the little robot is paddling all of about 2 mph. whether the quiksilver vieo is fake or not, this one deff is.

  • anyways the quiksilver video is also fake in my opinion..

  • si se puede , depende de la banca tambien .

  • How shallow was it?

  • it depends on the bank

  • totaly wrong calculations i wonder what other experiments were also lame!!!!

  • because the water was too deep!!!!!

  • thats lame i could catch that on a short board

  • no you wouldnt u would need a long board

  • what would these nerds know about surfing??? my grandma could paddle faster then that dumbass dummy such pussys too scared to go in the water ahahahahhahah

  • it can work u just need more speed

  • but u would be killed

  • Undalay Undalay

  • REDO REDO

  • fuckinh nerds!

the fucking robot doesn't even knows how to pedal!

  • nerds !!!!!!!!!!

  • They didnt do it like the other video so it dosent convince me.. The wave isnt made under water!

  • so here comes the nerds who need a robot wtf???? course it works

  • wtf. why did they use a a dummy in the frst place?? they should've used a real surfer. dumb ass.

  • yeah the reason this didnt work is because #1 the surfer wasnt going fast enough, #2 the water needs to be much more shallow #3 idk

  • So since these dweebs couldn't get it to work (for all the reasons listed by others here)---it must be a myth. Like they control what's real or not, supposedly.

I hate television more every day.

  • of course it was fake, but it was a bad ass video..

  • they aint surfers! sowhat would they no anyways!

  • If the ocean floor was like 2ft.

it wud work. that would be fucking awsome

  • the waters probably like 12 feet and their is no way a wave can be formed if its that deep

  • does that dummy even work on normal waves

  • that is not a good myth, in the real video they used a smaller lake, with something like walls on the sides, they also thrown the TNT, so they didn't dropped the TNT in the lake, By throwing it the TNT would possibly a little bit more to the surface, by dropping it it would go a lot deeper, also the wave created in this movie was about the same height as the wave in the real movie. so wath i wanted to say, it could be plausible

  • probably the lake was too deep

  • the problem with mythbusters is that if they cant make it happen, then they think its impossible.

  • 100% correct, alsdguitar.

  • agree. If they fail, it doesn't have to be impossible. It only means that THEY fail.

  • Dynamite Surfing can work you just need the right surface at the bottom of the water, a wave only works because the water is being pushed to land, but while it moves the water starts to get shallower and shallower, resulting in a lump of water eventually breaking, which we know as a wave, in this video the pond probably isnt getting shallower it is most likely staying the same and the Quiksilver video could be real beacause of the water getting shallower, and to that MythBusters Can SuckMYBAlls

  • i was born in hawaii and raised on north shore and these mainland donkeys don't understand how waves work... the REEF (or ocean floor) determines the wave's SIZE AND BREAK

i think it's possible in a shallow pond like in the video, but i still think the video was fake cuz hello... quiksilver could never sponser something like that. they'd get busted

  • youre right

  • yeh ur right

  • watching mythbusters makes me sick the way sometimes they think a myth is busted when ITS NOT there the most unofficial fuck heads to walk the planet message me if you seriously want to no why these guys are so mentally raped

  • 0:47 That's what she said.

  • lmao

  • excellent lol!!

  • what she said?

  • como le daría a la redhair !(la colorada) y ese no es baxter! me cambiaron el muñeco todo mal!

  • they obviously dont know anything about how waves work. The water where the surfthing was was too deep. I think the video was fake. But it is still possible to surf on a wave like that. The reson the youtube vid is fake is because the foam that was all over the place is only possible in salt water.

  • thats exacly right mythbusters suck balls coz they think of the variables from the original myth

  • This is really stupid, the waves were obviously big enough, how deep is a quarry lake though??? Waves need to break in shallow water to be rideable. A real lake would definately work

  • the TNT should have detonated closer to the surface... then there would have been a bigger Wave.

  • bullshit

i did dynamite surfing and actualy caught the wave

  • The lads who did it for real had the dynamite blow before it hit the bottom thus making it easier to create a wave.

  • Why did they test it with TNT. Dynamite is different, its not a fair test.

  • dynamite is tnt u fucktard

  • Go and learn. Prove it.

  • dis is bullshitttt

  • yea its too shallow but the explosion was sik

  • Use English.

  • The water is too deep, look how small the waves are..

  • ok first off... the little tiny robot on that long board would not weigh enough to catch any wave, secondly it wasn't paddling fast enough to catch a wave either...

  • They better re-do this one at a better break.

  • its a lake

    it isnt a break

    noob

  • mythbusters failed to do it right.

  • exactly.. too deep for one.

  • the water needs to be shallower and the the wave will curl over

  • This is really badly done they didn't take wave physics into account at all. first of all there has to be sand close to the surface in order for it to break, and i dont thin you would die from being in the water near that explosion

  • Yeah.. how do they know whether you would die or not.. the water absorbs the shock ffs

  • ohh quicksilver sucks

  • go Mythbusters :)

  • it has to have sand for the wave to hit there the water was to deep

  • dude i surf dynamite waves all the time in my pool its soo sick it totally works

  • LOL DUDE YOUR INSANE MAN LOL

  • you wish

  • that whole video was a complete waste of time your mothers would be ashamed they gave birh to such a pair of useless balbag tripes!! obviously know nothing about surfing and how wave break!! u should stay at home picking your arse u disgrace... SHAME ON YOU!! job done...

  • I feel sorry for you that you obviously live to trash other people's video's and That you obviously have no life... You go get on, get off your ugly ass. and go surf.

  • That proved NOTHING. The robot paddled 3 times slower then any surfer. I coulda caught that wave on my long board.
