I went to Peebles/Galashiels/Jedburgh/Me­lrose/Kelso and Berwick on Tuesday, and out of all of those places, there were only 3 notably drunk people :D Granted, it was quite early.

When I was staying in Inverness last year, however, I was forbidden to leave the hotel because of all of the inebriated students outside. Instead we stayed up until 4 talking rubbish in the bar, and when I went to bed at 'normal' times there was always a fire engine outside.
