  • Steve Perry is the "Only Singer" for Journey . Imagine being a singer and asking to join a band AS LONG AS YOU SOUND LIKE "The Other guy"!!! Pretty SAD, huh??? STEVE PERRY "Epic voice"!!!!

    Frank D'

  • man im 13 and i wish i was born in the 70's!!!!! STEVE PERRY ROCKS!!!

  • Oh ... I <3 Journey I really love it... but I love THIS Journey with Steve Perry, and the drumer ...not the new journey with this new singler and drumer, they look totally different from the band...I dont like the new journey in fact I'll never heard a new cd from journey ! xD

  • @MakaSkys Yah I know Journey is jut not the same, you can't replace Steve and Steve(the drummer) and call it Journey

  • @MakaSkys Yah I know Journey is jut not the same, you can't replace Steve and Steve(the drummer) and call it Journey. It's just not complete.

  • i saw journey last october and it was so awesome!

  • incredible footage w/stage and lighting directions....and the SP raindance, too

  • STEVE IS A REALLL MANNN !!!!!!!!

  • this is so sweet, you can tell everyone was having fun.

  • LOVE IT

  • they are nothing without perry,going on 15 yrs without a hit,what does that tell you.journey 78-96

  • :-)

  • I Love Frontiers. I was there at JFK in Philly June 4, 1983 What a concert, 90,000 people. I can't believe Herbie Herbert saying Steve never looked at the audience while he was singing. Holy Macaroni, I was close enough to hit him with a spit ball, and he was looking right at me as if he expected something :) Watch him catch a white rose while doing another song. Sour Grapes Herbie Herbert.

  • all i got 2 say is yummy : )

  • wooow!!!!!!

  • awesome

  • that is sooooo cool love the little spin at 2-47 its so cute and amazing...:)

  • i cant spin like that

  • I've had a crush on Neal ever since I got into Journey a few years ago. He's hot! And I looove to watch him play guitar. His talents are limitless. Same goes for Steve Perry. His voice is beyond amazing and he's hot too! Journey rocks!

  • neal has a AWSOME voice! but steves is much better!

  • I hear Jon's voice, not Neal's.

  • no, in the recorded version of the song its Neal's. u can watch the video (yeah its on youtube) and see that its Neal singing. the thing is live, all Ross and Jon sing with Neal.

  • oh i love this song!

  • Go Steve go @ 4:11- 1:14.Lol

  • He does a good little spin around 2:47-2:49, too.

  • 4:14 is the mone shot right there!

  • This is going SO FAST! I like it!

  • its kinda random at the begining wen they jump up and say "wowoaaaaaaaaa!!!"

  • thy were getting hyped up for the concert

  • chain reaction -shades of passion -we surrender- loose control................., such a powerful song...

  • STEVE WAS ON "FIRE"!!!!!!!!!!

  • Frontiers tour totally rocked Seattle! Bryan Adams opened and both bands were awesome. I miss those general admission concerts! Everything`s reserved these days. (TICKETMASTER) You guys suck at customer service! I was the 1st person in line the minute "Revelation" tickets went online and was told "sorry, these are the best we got now", and had to settle for midway back in the 1st section. The lady 3rd in line got tickets for row 2. It`s not fair you bastards! Why don`t you fix the problem?

  • A great song by a classic band!!!

  • I have this on VHS. :)

That little dance drives me wild!! Look how much fun he's having!!

  • I hope you burned that bad boy! Never trust a VCR ; )

  • LOL I haven't burned it yet. I've only watched it twice, though, and have put it away until I can make a copy or two. ; )

  • i don't care what people say about steve. i still love him. he's amazing!

  • PHENOMENAL, STEVE PERRY!!

  • Steve works his ass off on stage! Wow! He looks and sounds great. He really delivered LIVE - so rare now a days - except for the Boss.

  • perry is cute but neal is more cute

    & sexy!

  • I love it when he gets the "crazy eyes"! Awesome showman and vocalist.

  • OMG look @ Steve do his trademark spin like tornado at the end --wow!!!

    We LOVE YOU STEVE!!!

  • I know, love that spin of his.

  • this might sound silly but i have to say this...OMG! steve is so hot in this video i just wanna have a bbq on him! lol. i sound crazy but man he was so hot.

  • i think Steve Perry is just delicious!!!

  • hells yeah...

i wonder if he reads the stuff girls like us write about him...

    oh well. lol.

  • probably not. he should kno lots and lots of girls love him. including me.

  • i would bake a cake on him, it would b burning after a second. u can cook eggs on him without sunlight or a stove

  • Haha, well stated, and I completely agree. I need more men like this in my life. :)

  • cool very good song

  • Nobody like Steve!

  • I luv this song by SP.

Steve Perry is the One & Only Rock Legend for me.

  • For me too

  • The unmatched stage presence of Steve Perry is sorely missed. You just don't see this kind of charisma from the other guys since his departure. Well, I guess you don't just "act out" your charisma. Steve Perry has that charisma "built-in", because he is a real deal.

  • It is missed very much! You just don't see that anymore. Perry does have that charsima, it's a part of who he is. He does pull you in, very fun to watch and to listen to also.

  • Steve Perry is the best!

    Perry On!

  • Ross looks like he belongs with the "Blue Man Group" I love Journey though!

  • i wonder if steve got high on coke because he looks hyper like ross did

  • i love this song and i have the orgianl tap that was made that year during that tour it was recurded suring it and i love it i wach it every day i just love steve perry

  • Watch ROSS just before the BIG High 5 at the beginning of this video...he falls back and nearly fall over only to be 'caught' by the RV/Double-Wide He punches with his fist, as he regains somewhat balance and then staggers back in line to march towards the stage, for I'm sure a great bass guitar performance....

  • He is caught zipping up his pants too!...lol

  • 1:24 HOW MUCH COKE IS ROSS PUMPED WITH ?

  • I saw them on the Frontiers Tours in April 1983 in Columbia, SC. I couldn't see Steve Smith because I was behind the stage, but they really were awesome. Bryan Adams opened.

  • Frontiers was and is the greatest Journey album in my honest opinion. I especially like backtalk, seperate ways, chain reaction, edge of the blade and frontiers.

  • Pretty neat to hear Jon Cain at 1:45, 1:48, and 1:53 hit that part by himself.

  • This is a concert in Philly. 90,000 people were there in JFK Stadium having a great time.

  • Look at 3:11, there's a video shot of the big screen that shows Schon playing a blue Explorer, rather than the Les Paul he has. Wonder how edited this was....is this available on DVD >? thanks!

  • good spot. The Frontiers and Beyond documentary is available on DVD, wich is this concert through the eyes of the roadies

  • Do you know where I can get it on DVD? Amazon does not have it and I would love to get a copy. Thanks.

  • When / Where was this concert shot ? They are just rushing the tempo as compared to their studio version....

  • 1983 Philadelphia. It was filmed as a documentary. Yeah I seriously am huge Journey fan. but I think that they didn't sound that good live in 1983. I think they sounded the best live from 1980-1892

  • Sorry mdoelle but I was there in 83 @ this concert and it was one of the best Journey concerts I ever saw........Never will forget it

  • I was very lucky too---saw them 3 times & Steve solo !! I knew Steve when we were teens too. He is awesome !!!!

  • i had this vhs at one point, theres a scene in the beginning when neal gets a beer bottle thrown at his head....

  • I have never met the band or, been to one of their concerts. At one point, I had managed to get my hand on every album Journey did since there beginning in 1972/73. That was before CD's came out and, vinyl went in the can.

  • yeah thats on youtube somewere

  • I was so luck to be at this concert in June 1983 at JFK in Philly. I still am hoping to meet Steve some day. I was 13 then now 37. He is wonderful!

  • I missed this concert, I was so sorry I missed it. I can imagine it was great.

  • I have this on VHS. It's one of my favorite songs.

Keep up the good work on these vidoes. I love it

  • I love Steve's little signature dance at 2:48. I had to play over a few times. Gotta love Steve!

  • I completely agree! He owns!

  • Awesome stuff!!11

  • This one is dedicated to mdoelle and zombiesgirlfriend...; have you both noticed that we all are a little different with the years? Just like cars models changes, or clothing changes too...we all humans beings change a little at some point. Please!!! Noone can't keep the same voice [exactly the same voice] during his [her] whole life! It's just a comment, i love Journey as much as you both and Steve also. emilior4

  • Was this from Philly? Anyone know? Anyhow, DAMN! I remember this tour like it was only yesterday. Thanks for the memories, zombiesg. Steve isn't only an awesome vocalist, but also an incredible performer.

  • Yes, this was in Philadelphia

  • ANYONE GOT THE MUSIC VIDEO FOR THIS

  • Im the biggest perry fan but does anyone else notice that ny this point his voice is changing?

  • During Frontiers, he purposely started to sing lower because he wanted to explore the lower parts of his vocal range to fit Journey's changing sound

  • ahh got it. I thought it was cuz he could hit those notes anymore. where did u find this out?

  • I read an interview with him online where he explained that he wanted to explore the lower parts of his vocal range during this time... If I'm able to find the link again, I'll post it here for you.. the interview in general was a very good one

  • Interesting. Id like to read that. I also noticed by like 86 he sounded really raspy like his voice was getting tired.

  • That most likely was the case by '86... even now if you listen to interviews with him, his voice definitely sounds a little weaker... but with such a wide range, and having to use all of that range for 8 straight years its very understandable

  • Yeah. I am a singer in a journey tribute band myself. I'm told by many that i sound a great deal like perry. whats neat is that i can manipulate my voica to sound like perry from 77-83 and then change it to the 84-89 era and 91-98 era.

  • Awsome! Neal rocks!

  • Love it!!!

  • Steve Perry is PEERFECT. What a showman!

    How I miss him...

    I love, love, love F&B.
