Succes, gaat zeker goed komen !

  • I like this one !!!

  • Dude, it's overall too loud and therefore also a boring performance.

  • you have a good sense of music, it sounds like you have an idea of the music, like it is your own music, and not just trying to play "correctly" ... if that makes sense. ;-)

  • Very nice playing! I have been learning piano for a while and I am also playing this piece! I have uploaded two versions of this, one is a slower tempo and the other, hopefully a more alla marcia tempo but I need people to listen and to comment on them so I can improve. Cheers!

  • Bad sounding quality? Are you kidding me? This sounds GREAT!

  • I was listening to your sonata no8 in a flat, and clicked this page by mistake, I wanted to go back to the sonata, but your playing kept dragging my hands away ;'D you are simply amazing!!

  • This piece is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This piece WILL give you RSI lol.

  • I really liked this. I wish I could play it as well as you! do you have any tips on getting 0:40-0:59 more smooth? I've started learning this piece also. How long did it take you to play it?

  • I like your taste in music, evidenced by channel's video selection. Nice playing.

  • Some mistakes at 3:36-:3:37

  • Fantastic!

  • that was good, just need more dynamics, mainly more pianissimo

  • lol .. where is that? Noone seems to be interested, and there are kids running around! Nicely played though.

  • Seems like you have a fan (the lady in the white pants)

  • Good job! Really.

  • listen to valentina lisitsa's version , the one where she also plays Grieg with an orchestra.

  • @ForeverPianist I know her, she's a good pianist!

  • avesome, but you play with mistake...

Its doesnt mind, I usually play also in concerts with mistakes.. :)

    You play very well,...

    Greetings from Slovakia

  • You play very well! Bravo!

  • Thanks for a fine rendition of an all-time favorite.

  • Panicky towards the end and slightly robotic. Too much of "banging" of the octaves towards the end too. Interesting interpretation nonetheless.

  • This is an interesting preformance. May i enquire who is or was your teacher? Oh and you could sit a bit further back. You seem very squeezed. All in all, although technically this can be improved further, you do bring out your emotions in this piece and this is what many people look out for. Good attempt. You could try again and post one more up here. I would like to listen.

  • ohh..... speechless

  • Bravo bravo bravo.....one of the best I've heard on Youtube. You are playing this piece "right"

  • Great performances Amazing

  • Im 17 and ive learnt this piece. The only prob is that my left hand doesnt keep up. I never practice technical so that must b the problem. How do i fix that? Oh and well done

  • Trust me, practice technical *wink*. Technique serves as a really good basis from which you can learn other great pieces.

  • Wow your piano has come along really nicely! I've been keeping up with your videos since you started.

Lol@the kids walking across. Lol@the people leaving. Lol@the two girls on the left sitting there obviously bored. Lol@the couple in the back that was having a small convo.Terrible etiquette displayed by those people.

Good performance.. the ending though.. a little bit sloppy(almost forgot a transition)... but with those distractions.. who wouldn't make errors? Keep up the good work man!!!

  • good work :)

  • Sounds like you put a lot of hard work into this piece and it is very difficult to play... I have played this piece before as well.. I like the way you interpreted the middle section and the transition back into the main theme. I think the by the end you got into it more. It was a little too heavy for my taste. It is difficult not to play too heavy when there are so many chords and it seems more fun to just pound away lol I did that in the practice room for fun.

  • Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow!

    You're incredible AWESOME!

    5 billion stars!

    Bo Bo ^ v ^

  • one of the best videos of this piece ive seen in a while, just some things you may want to adjust, on the second page maybe speed it up a little bid, and also when transition into the last page start off slower and softer and build up to more momentum. and i thought ur video was very good but at the end u made so many mistakes it dissapointed me :/

  • Wow Michiel goed man!

  • i love this piece.

    well done....

  • JUSTE... WOW !!! QUE TROP BON !!!

  • Bravo; keep posting and share the world your talent

  • hard as hell. you're in a good way, keep it up!

  • Excelente interpretación :)

    precioso preludio de Rachmaninoff

    Felicidades

  • A hard piece...But that was amazing! Excellent!

  • Excellent.

  • Thanks mister Jim Morrison!! ;)

Groetjesss

  • Op. 23 No. 5 is one of my favorite Rachmaninoff preludes. I'm learning Op. 23 No. 7 right now but it's not as hard as I imagine this one is. You make it look easy!

  • quite precise, well done. the middle part could be a bit more silent and melodic, but well done indeed. keep doing this!

  • thanks Braun, the reason that the middle part sounds pretty loud, is because of the bad microphone in the camera, which normalizes the whole piece...:( But next to that...it could be even more silent :)

  • Moooooooooooooi (L)

  • Excellent performance for not an easy piece! Have you tried sitting just a tad farther back? You seem to sit a lttle too close. Sitting farther back would enable you to apply more weight and power from your body. Anyway, nicely played.

  • A real monster of a piece that you performed with competence and dignity. Well done.

  • That sounded cool! And very dramatic too.

  • one of my fav pieces of all time!
