this is so clever and funny that it actually sucks something awful...Aren't ironic covers so 2001?...It's a shame the fray haven't actually written a song as remotely good as hips don't lie. I'm a pasty stiff in a gap shirt delivering deadpan sexy lyrics (aren't I clever?) Because we all know that the only "real" songs are "deep" ones involving tedious piano and slit your wrist lyrics...Anyone who thinks this is better than the original should consider castration-to save the human race, thanks

So 2001? Umm...yeah I have to admit, that made me laugh a little bit. But seriously though, it's nice when people write about real things, instead of stuff they know nothing about. Their lyrics are not "slit your wrist" type. They have a lot of "happy" songs (HAPPINESS, She Is, Syndicate, e.t.c). Oh well, I respect your opinion but I suppose we have to agree to disagree on this subject.

I've gotten a lot of hate messages etc. about this but the only thing I was saying is that if you're going to cover a song, pick something that you find awesome or inspiring and really do it well. Here it seems like they've just decided to cover hips don't lie just to mock it, that seems like an incredible waste of time and energy, not to mention extremely disrespectful to original. I don't have any actual problem with the fray but if this is what they consider "cool" or funny, count me out.
