Many people need proof to know that God is very real. A non-christian does not understand the "faith" a christian holds for God and his son Jesus. I don't know what kind of biased, unencumbered by any commitment to the truth, sources you are getting your "facts" and/or analyses from, but they are in severe contradiction to the conclusions derived from those who do not suffer from the same desire for the facts to match a predetermined viewpoint that you obviously do (e.g.; carbon dating is not considered to be "faulty" by anyone other than those who do not like the conclusions derived from that particular type of evidence).
@steveb0503 You forget, scientists don't JUST use carbon dating. They have like 20~30 different substances that they use to date something. And then they get their conclusion of the approximate date (give or take a few ten thousand years) from all those tests combined. Not from JUST carbon dating.
@Sanquinity I forget NO such thing, and the really scary part about those who would disavow the validity of such dating methods, is the fact that they don't even understand enough about the science they are claiming is "junk" to realize that for any date corroborated by multiple radiometric methods to be in error, each method used would have to be erroneous by a different percentage (otherwise the dates would VARY) and the odds against that are too great to ignore.

Science - If the evidences disagrees with the idea, the idea must be revised or discarded.

Radiocarbon dating is considered accurate to ± 40 years for spans up to 10,000 years.

And Turin's shroud was proven to NOT be from around the year Jesus died. Even if Jesus existed, the shroud was not his. And if he did exist (there were people called Jesus at that time) he was definitely not 'the' messiah but just one out of dozens of so called 'prophets'.

@steveb0503 Well I know that my parents friends experienced this and my dad was at the hospital in one of these situations and also have people all over the world have had these and in a few of the case there are people that were dead for 3days why3. These people see what people a saying and doing in the waiting room when they are still in the morgue or the hospital bed. They can even see what is going on during the operration and they are dead this happens before the heaven or hell experience

Ezekiel 26 spells out how Nebuchadrezzar would conquer (and rule) Tyre and that the city itself would never be rebuilt - but these are not how events played out. If fulfilled prophesy means something, then how about UNfulfilled prophesy?

Many people need proof to know that God is very real. A non-christian does not understand the "faith" a christian holds for God and his son Jesus. An atheist will always argue with a christian because they DO NOT have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, nor do they acknowledge the existence of a living God in heaven. @Sanquinity I forget NO such thing, and the really scary part about those who would disavow the validity of such dating methods, is the fact that they don't even understand enough about the science they are claiming is "junk" to realize that for any date corroborated by multiple radiometric methods to be in error, each method used would have to be erroneous by a different percentage (otherwise the dates would VARY) and the odds against that are too great to ignore.

Science - If the evidences disagrees with the idea, the idea must be revised or discarded.
Religion - If the evidences disagrees with the idea, the the evidence must be rejected.
Radiocarbon dating is considered accurate to ± 40 years for spans up to 10,000 years.

And Turin's shroud was proven to NOT be from around the year Jesus died. Even if Jesus existed, the shroud was not his. Point is, I don't have to hold a belief to not hold some other belief - THAT is what atheism means (BTW): LACK of belief in god(s). People never exposed to the idea of a god(s) are atheists (including babies).
Your belief that you have more evidence is called confirmation BIAS (look it up).

The mom never told him that she miscarried a child cause he was to young. @steveb0503 Well I know that my parents friends experienced this and my dad was at the hospital in one of these situations and also have people all over the world have had these and in a few of the case there are people that were dead for 3days why3. These people see what people a saying and doing in the waiting room when they are still in the morgue or the hospital bed. They can even see what is going on during the operration and they are dead this happens before the heaven or hell experience

If you recall events from this "clinically dead" experience - it means your brain was still functioning on some level - otherwise you'd just be dead.
Have you ever played the game "Telephone" - did you notice just how fast the story or sentence related changes in the telling and subsequent re-telling? Second-hand stories are second-rate quality.

On the disovery channel they had a Russian scientist that was dead for 3 days and woke up in a morgue. They have this on youtube it is very interesting what they saw. The most likely, well-informed conclusion I can come up with for the "proofs" you and many other believers have ever presented in support of your "deity" are nothing more than ancient traditions accepted as "truths", personal incredulity regarding the facts of our existence, and emotionally biased interpretations of mundane events.

Atheism is "true and factual" because there are those who do not accept as "fact" God's existence - that is what atheism is - the lack of belief (if non-believers exist then atheism exists).

And just should one make of the "prophesies" in your favorite book that were NOT borne out?
Ezekiel 26 spells out how Nebuchadrezzar would conquer (and rule) Tyre and that the city itself would never be rebuilt - but these are not how events played out. If fulfilled prophesy means something, then how about UNfulfilled prophesy?

@steveb0503 In Matthew 24:1-2, Jesus prophesied that the Temple of Jerusalem would be destroyed and that its destruction would be so complete that not one stone would be left standing on top of another. His prophecy was fulfilled about 40 years later when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and tore down the Temple. The destruction was so complete that even the foundations of the Temple were dug up, according to Josephus, an historian who wrote about the destruction. -

It happens that 1260 plus 1260 days is an important seven-year period in the bible, referred to in Rev. 11-13 and elsewhere. (360 days x 7 = 7 years.)

As far as my "knowledge" of the Bible goes:
1) Until you can show why I should take anything in that book to be more worth consideration as a road-map for my personal approach to life than say, the works of Plato, Shakespeare, or Mark Twain - it doesn't matter whether my knowledge is absolute or adequate.
2) Interestingly enough, a recent survey showed that agnostics and atheists - on average - knew more about religion in general than believers (that's WHY we're atheists - BTW).
