  • Do a search for "national colorbred association" in your favorite search engine. They may have a show near you. However, the best show of all is the National Cage Bird Show which happens once a year during the month of November. Hope that helps.

  • iam currently breeding red factors . where could i find these type of shows at i would love to learn more of them thanks.

  • hi nice birds, if i was to buy a yellow bird, fife perhaps, could i colour feed it at moulting time and become red? i was hoping to buy a red factor but i only want the breed for the colour, not the breed or shape, i much prefer a fife.

  • A non colorbred canary will never develop a strong red ground color even when colorfed. Some yellow/white ground canaries do develop some red color, however it is always either washed out or patchy. It is up to you, if you want some red on your fife then feeding it a red coloring agent right before and during the molting season will work. If you want the intense red seen in these canaries then you will have to get a red factor.

  • Thank you, they were very nice birds. I am told the FL breeders also have very good red factors.

  • omg, they are so pretty :)

  • Brooklin, NY.

  • Nice Factors, where was this show at?
