BTW, I spoke with Tweedy briefly at Austin City Limits festival in August 2003 and when I asked the question about Jesus Etc. 9-11, he wouldn't answer. Probably a coincidence he is all too used to and wishes hadn't been the case.
I was there. I remember thinking, "Dude, this guy with a broken leg is a trooper!" That Tweedy acknowledged him was magic. It totally drew the few hundred people around the fence that had been there for over an hour waiting for this set together. Best moment of this not so peaceful Bonnaroo. Thanks, aggressive Tool fans ,for messing it up.
That's kind of strange since this song is obviously about the New World Order and the Alien/Lizard inhabitants of the human race walking among us. Sick. You're just sick my friend.
yeah sure he likes to talk, but at least he's saying something more than that old: Oh how I love this place. You know? With Jeff it's all about presence.
the rolling stones played a surprise gig at the el macambo in toronto, years ago. the club holds about 300 people. apparently, however, 3000 people from my city were there. congrats to all of you on crutches. wilco is awesome, btw.
From what I've seen and heard of this particular Wilco performance, it's really them at their best. They're full of energy and passion

Nels Cline does for Jeff Tweedy what Ben Keith did for Neil Young--soulful color.
RIP Ben

Jeff Tweedy is the most real dude in "indie" rock/pop.

Don't know what Tweedy really thinks of Jesus, but it's a great tune. And how odd it was written right before 9/11 (or so I've been told).

Tweedy sounds a little bit like Paula Abdul "trying to maintain" here- if you know what I mean.

The piano/organ thingy being played is specifically what kind of instrument? Hammond B3? Wurlitzer? I'd really like to know, if anyone knows.
