Glenn Gould plays William Byrd - A Voluntary

I don't believe the purist nonsense of not playing early music on a modern piano. The combination Gould's genius and the dynamics of a modern concert piano bring out far more expressiveness than the piece would have if played on a harpsichord (oh no sorry.., too late) or a pair of viginals. I am sure Byrd if he were around today would approve of this performance. Nobody with an ounce in their soul could fail to be moved by this.
