Love your tank man. I'm a big fan of the "Green block" look. Java moss is my friend. I did somthing simular with a 10 galoon some Java moss & fern drift wood 5-6 Rosy barbs and a TON of shrimp.

Did you cycle your tank? If not, that's the reason why your shrimp are dying so quickly.

Also, shrimp are super sensitive to Copper in the water.

Look for algae eating shrimp. Those ones with all the little dots on them (view at :42 into video). I don't know them by any other name. I just ask for AES, and this is usually the breed I get. the other ones, I'm not sure of.

I don't bother with Ghost shrimp anymore. You're right, they die too soon.
