I could never beat Malak just fist to fist so I ran around sucking out the imprisoned jedi's life force while throwing my lightsaber at Malak.

padawanmage71 this HD version is brillant, the details are excellent. r u planning on making the entire series of KOTOR 1 into HD after you've finished Mass Effect 2. Also will u be planning to play Star Wars The Old Republic when it comes out next year

@kanecub9 Thank you. I'm toying with making an HD version, especially since TOR won't be out till next year. Yes, I'm planning on playing TOR when it comes out...from what I read, Bioware made it so a single player can play it, as you could with KOTOR.

The first time I played this I didn't know I could destroy the capsules with the jedi inside and had to beat Malak while he regenerated time and time again, quite frustrating but not hard at all. Although I did use all of my medpacks and alot of force heals :)

@nangsta132 It's actually a Force power you attain while training. I believe it's called 'Force Leap' or 'Jump'.

@nangsta132 its jedi-guardian specific power called force jump, its an useful power to engage as the first blow, but jedi guardians use more lightsaber skills anyway

@nangsta132 its only for jedi guardians, u have to press (on xbox anyways) the option to just attack not pick anything just attack and its just to close the distance i dont no if u can do it a bunch of times

The best attack against malak is to throw your lightsaber, or least it works when i beat him

it takes 12 Thermal Detonator to kill malak :P you fight him ones then kill all the jedi's then you go to the ''second floor'' and throw them on him when he is on the ground level :) he will be stund when you hit him with the Thermal Detonator

@KevinLuhrs I don't know. It's been a while since i played. You might've had the option to switch when you meet Bastila on the Temple but I think that would be the only time.

@DrDanjot1 Since you got up to the point of actually meeting Malak, your best bet is to keep whittling him down, run, and keep whittling him. Don't stand too long or else he'll wear you down quick. I tired any force power but he's resistant. Make sure you also have lots of medpacs, etc. Good luck!
