hi i try to unlock my 3gs but when i went into cydia it crashed so i got the 1015 error so i manage to unbrick it by downgrading to 4.1 but my baseband didnt change i dont have cydia on it how would i go about doing. that to inlock it

Somebody please help me, i am on iphone 3G firmware, 4.2.1 and baseband 06.15.00 i have no internet connection and no cell phone connection. i dont have AT&T. i am using other carrier . what should i do to make my phone work again. please help me . if i have to down grade or do whatever it needs please let me know. i am stressed and spent two days on this no luck yet. too many people are putting too BS stuff. please help me out here .

@lindahansson87 how did u get all that stuff with no internet connection, U have to have internet connection to get the unlock. run over to a mcdonalds or moxie java buy something use there wifi and then download the unlock. if you dont have cydia yet grab redsn0w from the iphone dev team just search that in google "iphone dev team" and it should be the first link.

So I ran into the exact same problem, and i tried what you did.

I tried the restore with the custom firmware of 4.2.1 and then it gave me the error the 1015. Now when i tried to kick out with tinyumbrella it kicked out and then went right back in. its stuck in the recovery loop now

@shamalawy ya go ahead u actually have to use itunes 10.1 wit 4.2.1 its been confirmed safe

@shamalawy u need shsh files saved in order to downgrade from 4.2.1 to 4.1 it might be to late. I would suggest waiting if ur phone is still on 4.1, a carrier bundle will come out that u can use wit redsn0w later. if ur already on 4.2.1 ur out of luck and will have to use tethered jailbreak. but tiny umbrella will tell ya if u have any shsh files saved just click save shsh when u open it

what are the Disadvantages of not upgrading my BB and vice versa.. sorry but the forums are getting me crazy!!
