Im from Croatia and this is a part of my history. Cirilo(or in my language, Ćiril) and Metodije(Metod) invented glagoljica to help slavs to "communicate" with others and later Cirilo invented cirilica. Its a simpler glagoljica. The brothers invented them so the slavs had the religious books translated to glagoljica.
