Hi, you are on a good way but I would advise that you have a look at the "endings" of the words. In german you pronounce e.g. "EingezoGEN" and "NachT" and so on. You tend to "swallow" those. Actually the pronounciation very hard and there are a lot of german singers that swallow the endings too. I looked up a video that is good pronounced. Maybe it helps you to progress your german :) (search for v=tZb6a6wr_60 , Goldfinger200 is the one that loaded - it doesn't accept links here in comments)

I learn Schubert 's songs only by ears from a great singer Dietrich Fischer Dieskau's record so long. I really like these German lyrics.

I was influenced by a historical singer named Dietrich Fischer Dieskau (Angel label record: When he was young)

I was listening to his performance so carefully while reading a Japanese translation time and again.

I did not know German language at all at the time. The start of my "Winterreise" was started from this point.
