  • I wish we had the three part lecture Kermit did with the letter K back in the first season, a lost great that is!

  • I wish it had ended with...

    Grover: HIII YA!!!

    Kermit flies across screen.

Grover (Leaning in): K! Karate! Ha ha ha!

  • If Sesame Workshop still has the Magic Finger clip for the letter Q, they should complete the set; I remember seeing that one along with the K and M clips, back in the day.

  • K?

  • jhjhjhjhjjhjhjhjhjhjhjh--onk XD

  • ON YOUR MARK, GET SET, GO! ZZZZZhhhhhh...

It was sound effects like the ones by Kermit in this clip that 'got me hooked,' even to a point that when I was in high school. Whenever I tried to demonstrate that I understood something by using my hands, I would generally use some sort of sound effect to accompany the 'hand movement.' Now that I think about it, it just might reflect the profund effect that early Sesame Street had on me (i.e. in certain ways). Thanks for posting!

  • I remember Kermit doing the letter M, but I never knew that he did the same thing for K.

  • me too

  • BTW... does anyone have those skits to upload?

  • Frank had to accidently cough but luckily Jim prevented himself from laughing

  • I've been looking for a LONG time for "Alphabet Bates"! Some people would be on the street talking, or whaever, then they would hear a plane. MOST of the time, he would draw a letter with his plane. SOMETIMES, though, his plane would dump him out, & he would parachute to to the street, where he would draw the letter with his hand. Does ANYONE know where I can see this?

  • wow do people actully enjoy watching this stuff?

  • @theshortstackman

    Why not?

  • There was another Finger Game clip in

which Grover tried to go "Zzzzggguuk!"

with his finger, and he ended up going

    "Cccchhhhuutzi, Guutchie, Guuutchie!"

    Grover scribbled over Kermit's drawing

of a letter, which I've somehow gorgotten

what it was. Anyway, I know the Finger

Game with a square exists on YouTube,

as does the letter M, and K. Does the 4'th

one I mentioned about exist, too?

  • i actually forgot uppercase K's look like that

  • You are so right. And therefore... if Kermit pointed out his name, that certainly would've been a good idea since his name begins with "K" like you said.

  • This letter is the letter K.

    ...k.

  • 'Kay.

    xD classic!

  • I Love Grover! Magic Finger Pen! lol Now I see where Natalie (Communitychannel) got the idea from. XD

  • Kermit and Grover, it doesn't get any better

  • Thanks for uploading this skit. And therefore, I like it very much.

  • The part where Frank(Grover's preformer) coughs makes me laugh every time!

  • It sort of cracks me up as well, man.

  • How can it not?

  • LOL! Especially for what you said while replying to me.

  • I love Grover's random cough (and Kermit's reaction).

  • xD awsome frog xD

  • dang. i thought the two lines on the right met together in the middle. ive been doing it wrong for 15 years!

  • @lacigreen lol same

  • @lacigreen: Both versions were common in the late 60s/early 70s, according to some of my older friends who remember their first-grade writing classes.

  • Cute!! First View!!
