people who delude themselves with the logic that no injuries=no intent to harm, no bodies=no murder, etc. must have some kind of learning disability or some crucial chip missing. probably along the same lines of people who reason that they can drive drunk because they've done it for years without killing anyone. or someone who shoplifts because they reason that there are no victims therefore it isn't a crime. it scares me that so many believe that violence is the only way to solve problems.
I think I got a revelation of why people join Sea Shepherd (or participate in pointless protests that achieve nothing). They're too stupid to function in normal society and they're incapable of forming arguments or sitting down and debating with others. In their frustration, they resort to throwing bottles at foreigners (or throwing a tantrum that they can't get a good job).
Not only did they ram into a structure with human beings on it, they also knowingly rammed into a cage with trapped tuna that didn't have any room to run away. These terrorist psychos killed off some of the endangered species that they were claiming to "save". Sea Shepherd is a real-life version of "Team America: World Police".
"If they had ramemd that cage at full speed, they would have smashed through it."
"Did they hurt anyone on poking the tuna cage?"
Google "Maltese legal challenge blocks Sea Shepherd - timesofmalta" and see the photo that accompanies the article. You would have to be blind, delusional or retarded to think that this is just "poking the tuna cage" and that the ship isn't smashing through the structure (WHICH CLEARLY HAD HUMAN BEINGS ON IT).
@truebeliverofasgaard Well, the fishermen were acting appropriately and fighting off an intruder. The babies of sea shepherd expect the fishermen to just let them walk onto their ship and be treated like loyalty. If sea shepherd doesn't like it, they'll bitch and moan to the world that the bigger kid is pushing them around.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
The Sea Shepherd people have nothing to do that close to the YUshin Maru 2 in the first place. The Japanese seamen just do what they have to in order to protect themselves from pirates.
Name one incident in which the Japanese guys were violently attacked by Sea Shepherd members, risking personal injuries. Once again your lack of knowledge is annoying.
They're throwing butaryc acid. It's welll known. However they're throwing it on the SHIP.
Your comparison to 9/11 is just moronic:9/11: Thousand innocents dead. Sea Shepherd bodycount: 0.0. Also u seem to underestimate the ship's speed in the clip u quoted, thhe diesel is on idle. If they had ramemd that cage at full speed, they would have smashed through it.
@maroon83 So as long as no one is killed, an act of violence is not an act of violence? Again, go crash a boat against a pier with people on it and tell me if they think it's not dangerous. 9/11 is comparing ramming your plane/car/ship (at any speed) purposefully into a structure with people on/in it. It's also similar to kamikaze.
You really seem no to get it: No pier, a cage. And once again the 9/11 thing doesn't work here: The aim is NOT to kill as many people as possible and lose the own life.
If it's dangerous or not: Hell yes it is. As u might have overseen in your quoted clip the SSCS vessel was rammed too.
@maroon83 The footage shows the bottles hitting just a few inches away from the men. Again, go throw glass bottles at a boat/car/bicycle with people on it and claim that you were only aiming at their boat/car/bicycle therefore it's non-violent. Likewise go ram a pier with people on it and claim that since it's just a couple of people that could've been hurt and you were "idling", it's non-violent, Aiming for and knowingly ramming a structure with people on it is VERY similar to 9/11 or kamikaze
Dude seriously. Did they hit anyone? No. Did they hurt anyone on poking the tuna cage? Again NO. Did they hurt anyone by ramming another ship? Surprise, once again NO. What's with your inappropriate similes? If've never seen anyone on a bike or a car illegally hunting for whales or poaching protected blue fin tuna. If you've got some of those, let me know.
In a nutshell: violence against things ≠ violence against people.
@maroon83 I'm serious in the real world out there if you pull stunts like these no injury DOES NOT mean no harm was meant, it means you were extremely lucky that no one was hurt. It doesn't matter what the cause or motivation is, if you crash or throw harmful objects at property with people on you are being violent. Anti-abortionists who bomb abortion clinics also claim that they're doing it for a worthy cause. Terrorists claim they bomb tanks/buildings for a worthy cause. It's still violence.
@maroon83 You're way behind on your news. Fish&fish was towing an aquaculture pen, not poaching. One of their employees was injured in the attack. And the Japanese Antarctic whale hunt is legal. They have permits from the IWC as well as published research plans and results.
Your getting always funnier from post to post. Name one scientific benefit they reached, except "whales eat fish and plankton". However it depends on the point of view if it's legal or not.
@maroon83 “Name one scientific benefit they reached, except "whales eat fish and plankton".”
How about ‘the population of minke whales is diverse, abundant and growing, feeding off of an abundant food source, and so is sustainable to hunt’.
“However it depends on the point of view if it's legal or not.”
No, legality is a lot more objective than that. It’s a matter of interpretation of relevant laws and treaties. And in the case of Japan’s whaling it’s clearly legal.
So that's your and Fish&Fish's point of view. Others may see a violation of the ICCAT and Lybian / Maltese fishermen violently attacking members of SSCS - the same year a Greenpeace activist was harpooned by a fishermen, too...
@maroon83 Wow, and you say my comments are getting ridiculous?

Oh yeah, like that has anything to do with anything.
I think this is not completely right, they were rammed several times by the Japanese and also by some Maltese in an incident you described where they freed endagered Bluefin tuna.
@NicoNimi I’ve never seen then get rammed by the Japanese. The situations I’ve seen, it’s more accurate to say that Sea Shepherd were the ones doing the ramming.
And as great as you think it is that Sea Shepherd freed the endangered tuna that Fish&Fish was transporting, the fact of the matter is, they were not poaching; what they were doing was perfectly legal. Aquaculture operations like Fish&Fish’s lessen the need for commercial fishing.
@NicoNimi So this is another case like the failed illegal boarding of the Shonan Maru №2 earlier this month. Remember that? Sea Shepherd forced the reallocation of an Australian gov’t ANTI-POACHING ship to go pick up their stooges. By any real conservationist measure, Sea Shepherd is an epic fail.
to be exact: The 2 activist boarding the Japanese vessel were NO SSCS activists, the Australian vessel hat to pick them up because they the Japanese refused to hand them over to any other vessel,
@maroon83 Sea Shepherd also sell t-shirts that list the number of ships they've rammed and sunk. Did they do a thourough check of each of those ships to make sure that there were absolutely no people on board before they rammed/sunk it? Ships are made to carry human beings. Even if a ship isn't being used for whaling, there's a good possibility that someone might be inside the ship. "No risk of personal injuries" my ass.
Please get your facts right: Yes they sell these shirts. The vessels quoted "sunk" were sunk within the harbor and yes they checked if there were people on board before. There are enough independent sources you can check.
I don't get your "people on board even it isn't used 4 whaling" nonsense, sorry.
@maroon83 It's scary how SS worshippers believe every single claim they make. SSCS claims to have superhuman powers of 100% accurate throwing aim, therefore it must be true. There's no way they could "miss" and actually hit a human being. Ignore MSDS lab chemists' reports that butyric acid is harmful because SS members are chemical experts who says it's "safe" SS also has god-like powers/x-ray vision/psychic powers to be sure 100% that every nook & cranny of a ship they've never been on is empty
@maroon83 I did provide sources "Footage shows protester's ship ramming tuna cage" & "January 17, 2012 Three Sea Shepherd Crew Injured in Skirmish with Yushin Maru # 2" The law & common sense says that knowingly crashing a vehicle into a structure with people on/in it is an act of violence. If you throw glass bottles inches away from someone, you will be arrested and charged & accused by the gen. public that you meant to cause harm. But instead, you choose to believe SS's claims.
@maroon83 “Seeing if there were people on board” doesn’t really count for anything, considering Sea Shepherd members’ rock-bottom levels of competence and human compassion.
@maroon83 Are you kidding? Footage of this incident taken from a helicopter clearly shows Sea Shepherd members throwing glass bottles of an unidentified substance directly at human beings. Go throw a glass bottle at anyone and you can tell me if your victim agrees that it's non-violence and injury-free. There is also footage of Sea Shepherd ramming full speed into a structure with human beings on it, 9/11-style (google "Footage shows protester's ship ramming tuna cage").
are you kidding? Just a few examples: Video above, Paul Potts was beaten up, multiple flashbangs, oh and yes there was a little incident with a vessel named "Ady Gil"...remember?
While destroying a feature of the whaling ship with a knife so that he and his friends could try to prop foul it in the middle of the Antarctic. (Read: SELF DEFENCE.)
“multiple flashbangs”
Not an attack.
“"Ady Gil"...remember?”
Vividly. You can still easily find video from at least 2 different angles **of the Ady Gil throttling up and ploughing into the side of the whaling ship**.
@DrunkyMcSwervencrash It's no use arguing with this moron. As soon as you present facts that he can't argue against, he'll dismiss you as a troll and run away (which is what he did with me).
@kwanzalimited I know. I've dealt with guys like this dozens if not hundreds of times before. In the end, if you can't hope to slap some sense into them, you can at least hope to appeal to everybody else reading - to show them how nuts the guy is by making him argue himself right out the door.
@DrunkyMcSwervencrash Good point. I wonder if he's giving himself thumbs ups through multiple accounts or if there are actually idiots out there who's choosing his comments over common sense & facts.
Common sense... just like the point made by PropagandaBuster... that this video disproves....
Now I suppose that pretending reality is real.. and just trying to forget that the Yushin attempted and succeeded in physically harming someone is way more easy than understanding... thats kind of insane... and abit neurotic at best...
@revron77 No seriously it's not about spelling or vocabulary, what you wrote aren't even complete sentences. Phrases like "pretending reality is real" and "just trying to forget that the Yushin attempted and succeeded in physically harming someone is way more easy than understanding" don't even make sense.
Your a neurotic projecting person who uses distortion of reality to form a defence for what you feel is probably a form of intellectualization which in itself is neurotic...
And yes.. right now I am using psychoanalysis courtesy of Sigmund
@revron77 You seem think that throwing around some Psychology 101 terms makes you look smarter than you actually are. FAIL!!! You're not even bothering to argue any of the relevant points I made, you're taking the easy way and ASSuming that I'm crazy. Why? Because I don't buy into SSCS propaganda like you do? According to what you're saying, I'm crazy because I don't believe in the same bullshit you do. Reread the original comment you made because IT MAKES NO SENSE.
No ones crazy nor normal.... in fact if you can find someone that is. Please bring them to a physiology department.
But in all honestly... debating the whaling is silly... based on the reason from my own experience.... I've been called a terrorist.... then an hour later death threats thrown at me.... I've seen the same old arguments playing over like a broken recorder.
Honestly... anyone with an education in science outside of Japan can clearly make a good presumption.
@revron77 Again with the not making sense. Did you actually mean "Sorry if my vocabulary surpasses yours"? And how on earth is this another word for "YOU CRAZY FOOL"? You're way out of your league and you're only making yourself look more desperate and stupid with each comment. You can't even form coherent sentences, never mind forming arguments relevant to the topic of whaling.
In fact not many people pay attention to greenpeace.... reason be greenpeace does fuck all and that makes people like you happy, but when someone has some balls... its time to bitch on youtube videos with other people...
Honestly I'm sick of it. Its not productive at all, I'd rather take action than speak words... live a day like a tiger not 100 years as a sheep...
Words mean nothing... you can say a few to me.. but isn't going to stop me being productive...
Its like medicine... you can't save them all and thinking you can is moronic... Your success is when you save a patient.. its not a ratio.. its about that one life and doing all in your power to keep it alive.
Fishing will never stop only until the day the oceans are dead. But the ability to successfully save a life.. even if its one.. even if its 800... its still a success.
There is no A or B in this form of activism.. it is what it is..
But I did make a valid point and when you couldn't reply with anything constructive you right away came up with a concept that included violence and a presumption that due to where I am from I must some how fit the culiture... because when your fighting a issue of culiture.. its hard for people like you not maybe make a link that does not involve where my brith rights lay...
@revron77 Of course I came up with a concept that included violence – Sea Shepherd is violent. It’s called an analogy.
I did not make a presumption of where you’re from. I chose cow and chicken off the top of my head because they’re eaten pretty much everywhere in the world and because of the South Park joke. Do you ever feel uncomfortably making presumptions about other people making presumptions? Kind of like you’re setting yourself up?
Sinking ships in a way that allows the crew to dembark safely.... TERRORISM!!!.... sinking a ship at port that has no crew on board TERRORISM.... throwing stink bombs TERRORISM... causing no loss of life... wow... real terrorism.
These arguements are pointless. I got it.. Sea Shepherd is a little to direct for you and you are scard of that..I'm sorry if your a pussy thats never had to face anything in life.
@DrunkyMcSwervencrash The ultimate goal is to completely stop it obviously, but one thing they have already accomplished is they have put a noticeable dent in the overall whaling industry profits, if they can reduce all profit (so they spend more on hunting than they make on whale meat) then they will have no desire to hunt for whale meat.
@YourLoveLetter Nope, Japanese whaling isn’t currently motivated by profit; the hunt was government-funded before Sea Shepherd arrived on the scene. So that strategy is fatally flawed.
@DrunkyMcSwervencrash They are motivated by profit, just like any business is. If they don't make a profit they will stop, government grants just give them extra motivation to stay in business and keep their profits up. That is how it works in the US farming industry as well.
I honestly love how people that dislike envrionmentalism call SSCS terrorists... and then talk about how they really wish they could have the chance to slap around people who support SSCS
In fact its the opposition to SSCS who advocate violence if they don't get their own way...
So someone cheered too soon, sorry I also have a real life to maintain. Come on your sarcastic comments and personal insults are far off what you call "facts". I'm just wondering if you are involved in any of the incidents you are reciting. There are always 2 sides of the same coin, in these cases the media of the "attacked", let it be F&F or IRC and the SSCS footage.
@maroon83 I provided irrefutable evidence consisting of photos & footage that CLEARLY show SSCS ramming the tuna pen with human beings on it. The other footage I referred to CLEARLY show SSCS members throwing bottles of butyric acid inches/feet away from human beings. I also referred to MSDS reports on butyric acid (created by scientists who aren't affiliated with any group). You don't have to be "involved" in any incident, you just need your eyes & brain to see that SSCS tactics are violent.
Still you can't provide any "evidence" which shows clearly that only human being has been hurt by direc SSCS actions. Sorry. Not good enough. Also your MSDS tells absolutely nothing due to the fact neither you or me know exactly about the acid's concentration.
Btw I never denied that some actions were per se violent. But to repeat over and over: No violence towards humans. To make it short: IF SSCS is sooooo bad why they are still at large and growing stronger?
@maroon83 because the world is full of suckers. who absolutely refuses to listen to reason or see flaws in their own arguments, for the sake of the instant gratification that violence provides. i've already provided solid evidence and logical arguments as to why sscs are guilty of violence against human beings and you've failed to comprehend or even come up with decent counter-arguments. i'm not going to repeat myself for the 10th time so that you can ignore common sense yet again.
I absolutely agree on your first statement. However you provided images fitting to your point of view ignoring any other possibilities. Also your "common sense" seems to end where other opinions start However your major unlogical argument may be this: If SSCS is a violent terror organisation as u like to claim, why they aren't banned in the US?
I'm talking about direct personal attacks with the aim to hurt humans. However you can put your bare hand in butaryc acid without any harm. If you quote "acid" people may refer to HCI or something like this.
@maroon83 They've been throwing the bottles directly at the crew lately; no bother for the excuse of "oh, we're just trying to taint the meat" excuse anymore.
Let's see how you like it when bust the windows in on your car and throw a bottle of that shit in along with a road flare....
How can u possibly know that? Were you at the briefings, or even on board ANY vessel involved to this? I have to admit I wasn't at the divine wind campaign.
I can only say that the orders in the past were quite clear: NOT to throw if there was any danger of hurting humans.
I think it's very unlikely that this happens to me and my car (especially because I usually don't drive in any whale sanctuaries with a harpoon mounted on my hood).
@isanatori Pirates? How are they trying to board the poachers boat or steal anything from the poachers boat? The poachers shot grappling hooks at a small INFLATABLE boat!!!!! That is a REAL attack not throwing paint at the poachers boat dumbass. And I don't even know why anyone would buy or eat that shit anyways, it has high mercury levels and can cause serious health problems.
@PropagandaBuster You are nothing but a lying piece of shit with an IQ lower than an amoeba !!If you want proof go find it yourself (or do as you normally do and make up stuff)

As soon as you present facts that he can't argue against, he'll dismiss you as a troll and run away (which is what he did with me).
kwanzalimited 1 month ago
@kwanzalimited I know. I've dealt with guys like this dozens if not hundreds of times before. In the end, if you can't hope to slap some sense into them, you can at least hope to appeal to everybody else reading - to show them how nuts the guy is by making him argue himself right out the door.
DrunkyMcSwervencrash 1 month ago
@DrunkyMcSwervencrash Good point. I wonder if he's giving himself thumbs ups through multiple accounts or if there are actually idiots out there who's choosing his comments over common sense & facts.
kwanzalimited 1 month ago
@kwanzalimited

Sorry if my vocabulary surpasses you.
In other words.... YOU CRAZY FOOL
revron77 1 month ago
@revron77 No seriously it's not about spelling or vocabulary, what you wrote aren't even complete sentences. Phrases like "pretending reality is real" and "just trying to forget that the Yushin attempted and succeeded in physically harming someone is way more easy than understanding" don't even make sense.
kwanzalimited 1 month ago
@kwanzalimited
Right.. I shall explain
Your a neurotic projecting person who uses distortion of reality to form a defence for what you feel is probably a form of intellectualization which in itself is neurotic...
And yes.. right now I am using psychoanalysis courtesy of Sigmund
revron77 1 month ago
@revron77 You seem think that throwing around some Psychology 101 terms makes you look smarter than you actually are. FAIL!!! You're not even bothering to argue any of the relevant points I made, you're taking the easy way and ASSuming that I'm crazy. Why? Because I don't buy into SSCS propaganda like you do? According to what you're saying, I'm crazy because I don't believe in the same bullshit you do. Reread the original comment you made because IT MAKES NO SENSE.
kwanzalimited 1 month ago
@kwanzalimited

@revron77 lol, you’re a thug who prefers the instant gratification of doing something over the merit of actually accomplishing something.
Sea Shepherd has fought:
• Canadian sealing since 1978. Canada still culls seals.
• Faroese dolphin hunting since 1986. The Faroese still hunt dolphins.
• Icelandic whaling since 1986. Iceland still whales.
• Norwegian whaling since 1992. Norway still whales.
• Japanese whale and dolphin hunting since 2002. Japan still hunts whales and dolphins.

@DrunkyMcSwervencrash

Vegan
But I did make a valid point and when you couldn't reply with anything constructive you right away came up with a concept that included violence and a presumption that due to where I am from I must some how fit the culiture... because when your fighting a issue of culiture.. its hard for people like you not maybe make a link that does not involve where my brith rights lay...
Your EI is profound to be honest
revron77 1 month ago

@revron77 Let's see how you like it when I run your car off the road and throw acid and lit road flares into the cabin....
DrunkyMcSwervencrash 1 month ago
@DrunkyMcSwervencrash The ultimate goal is to completely stop it obviously, but one thing they have already accomplished is they have put a noticeable dent in the overall whaling industry profits, if they can reduce all profit (so they spend more on hunting than they make on whale meat) then they will have no desire to hunt for whale meat.
YourLoveLetter 1 week ago
@YourLoveLetter Nope, Japanese whaling isn’t currently motivated by profit; the hunt was government-funded before Sea Shepherd arrived on the scene. So that strategy is fatally flawed.
DrunkyMcSwervencrash 1 week ago
@DrunkyMcSwervencrash They are motivated by profit, just like any business is. If they don't make a profit they will stop, government grants just give them extra motivation to stay in business and keep their profits up. That is how it works in the US farming industry as well.
YourLoveLetter 1 week ago
@YourLoveLetter Well, keep telling yourself that. We’ll see. Hasn’t worked yet.

@DrunkyMcSwervencrash
I honestly love how people that dislike envrionmentalism call SSCS terrorists... and then talk about how they really wish they could have the chance to slap around people who support SSCS
In fact its the opposition to SSCS who advocate violence if they don't get their own way...
revron77 1 month ago
@revron77 I don't dislike environmentalism, I dislike **false** environmentalism, which is what SSCS is.
I advocate violence against SSCS and there should be no problem with that - they're already violent.

@kwanzalimited
So someone cheered too soon, sorry I also have a real life to maintain. Come on your sarcastic comments and personal insults are far off what you call "facts". I'm just wondering if you are involved in any of the incidents you are reciting. There are always 2 sides of the same coin, in these cases the media of the "attacked", let it be F&F or IRC and the SSCS footage.
maroon83 1 month ago
@maroon83 I provided irrefutable evidence consisting of photos & footage that CLEARLY show SSCS ramming the tuna pen with human beings on it. The other footage I referred to CLEARLY show SSCS members throwing bottles of butyric acid inches/feet away from human beings. I also referred to MSDS reports on butyric acid (created by scientists who aren't affiliated with any group). You don't have to be "involved" in any incident, you just need your eyes & brain to see that SSCS tactics are violent.
kwanzalimited 1 month ago
@kwanzalimited
To make it short: IF SSCS is sooooo bad why they are still at large and growing stronger?
maroon83 1 month ago
@maroon83 because the world is full of suckers. who absolutely refuses to listen to reason or see flaws in their own arguments, for the sake of the instant gratification that violence provides. i've already provided solid evidence and logical arguments as to why sscs are guilty of violence against human beings and you've failed to comprehend or even come up with decent counter-arguments. i'm not going to repeat myself for the 10th time so that you can ignore common sense yet again.
kwanzalimited 1 month ago
@kwanzalimited
Keep your opinion, I truely don't give a damn.

DrunkyMcSwervencrash 1 month ago
@DrunkyMcSwervencrash
I'm talking about direct personal attacks with the aim to hurt humans. However you can put your bare hand in butaryc acid without any harm. If you quote "acid" people may refer to HCI or something like this.
maroon83 1 month ago
@maroon83 They've been throwing the bottles directly at the crew lately; no bother for the excuse of "oh, we're just trying to taint the meat" excuse anymore.
Let's see how you like it when bust the windows in on your car and throw a bottle of that shit in along with a road flare....
DrunkyMcSwervencrash 1 month ago
@DrunkyMcSwervencrash

Please post the video supporting your claim that Sea Shepherd members where hit by the grappling hooks thrown by the Japanese mariners.
