  • Well I've seen multiple tie breakers being done on this show, it's when it's after a 7-7 tie breaker that's rare, but like has been pointed out they do give the second team one second less than the first team took to get to 7, which should eliminate the possibility of a second tie after one team reaches 7. I do know this happened on at least one other occasion.

  • I have never cared for vicki lawrence

  • I, too, was wondering how there could be a 7-7 tie. I noticed they always subtracted a second (in this case the first team did it in 20 seconds, so the other team was given 19), but that seemed to give an unfair advantage to the first team.

Hopefully for any revival, they will count up for the first team in a tiebreaker (and using tenths of a second) and count down for the second team.

  • It shouldn't have been a tie. If the second team got all seven answers, it was consider the winning team. I watched this show ALL the time growing up and I can't recall this decision ever being made.

  • This episode was aired Janaury 21, 1986. The preceding episode IIRC had Dick Cavett disrobing at the end of that episode. So pressmin, if I'm not mistaken, you don't have any GSN recordings from before 2005, do you? And don't block me either.

  • Taking down by Zen, owch

  • They showed the 1983 Michael J. Fox $25K triple tiebreaker in September(with another tiebreaker in the second half) as part of the Play it Back:80s Game Shows marathon.
