I think it's amazing how Dean even found him. Sam completely changed his routine and everything so Dean couldn't find him, but Dean knew Sam would do that and still found him. Truly amazing.

I'm so disappointed in dean for following John's footsteps. Why does he pretend to care about Sammy when all he does is boss him around, not listen to his opinions and in the end, say the exact thing that John said which drove Sam away from the family? Sure, Sam was wrong yadda yadda but everyone makes mistakes, and DEAN was the one who broke the first seal, so who exactly is at fault here? How could he blame it all on Sam when he was the major cause of the apocalypse?

@turntojade I agree. I think in a way, it was a good thing all of this happened. Because as Sam points out to Dean later, he's not a kid anymore. Instead of bossing him around, there are times he has to give Sam the benefit of the doubt or at least hear him out. Dean's his big brother and he loves him to pieces, but he's not their dad. And that very same attitude is what drove Sam away in the first place. On the side note, I must say, that was one hell of an ass whipping he gave him lol.

in season 4 when he foundout that Sam is drinking,

demon's blood and that he join forces with Ruby.

In truth, Dean was the one who was mostly at fault here because he handled the situation the wrong way. Bobby warned him what would happen, and he did it anyway. That's not putting all the blame on him, of course, since Sam should've pulled his head out of his ass, but considering how sick he was because of the addiction, he can be excused for some of his behavior. Don't get me wrong - I'm a Sam girl and always will be, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate a story for what it is.

I think the reason Dean said that last part WAS to make the connection between the fight between John and Sam to this fight between Sam and Dean that had been brewing all season. Because there's only so many secrets, lies, and blood that can be spilled before it all comes to a head.

If you truly knew Dean's character, though, you'd realize JUST how hard it was for him to say it. He didn't want to, he just thought it might be the only way to get through to our Sammy.

The more i watch this scene the more shocking and sad it is. I mean, Sam and Dean are physically fighting and not because they're possessed or have been tricked by a siren or whatever but just because this is what the strains on their relationship (i.e that Ruby bitch) have lead to. @LostHorror815 No one really knows Sam except Sam. He was constantly afraid of himself. Dean never knew that. Sam's trying to take control of his life in this scene. He's wrong here, but confronting Sam with distrust is not the way to get through to him. If Dean really knew him, he would know that. I'm not saying Dean doesn't love him. But Sam needs control over his life, and Dean's always taking control from him. Dean needs to see that in order for them to have a relationship of equals.

It's all part of their journey though. I'm sure they'll find a way back to each other in time which will make the series conclusion bittersweet, but right now things are just escalating and this was just a huge moment in their relationship. I'm just worried about them not working together on cases next season, i LOVE that aspect of the show. The show looks like they're focusing on a singular storyline now, whereas seasons 1-3 they had so many subplots and individual cases
