Scratch that, lame story aside, the lame story would've been easier to take had we had the unpretentious low budget of the original show (action figures instead of humans, synthesiser music, etc). A bit of the original's charm would've been maintained to some degree.

Never before have I felt such a combination of hatred, nostalgic adoration and self-loathing.

It may sound strange, but I think this would've been better off had it had model human figures like the original show, rather than bad actors. Lines like "This is your shining time too!" probably would've been more tolerable that way.

I LOVE THIS SERIES...i have watched all of themm...im 18 and still do. i made a little lady train model that i still have...:D it's in one of my videos...this was my favortie move from the thomas series and still is...i love that all of the engings have diffrent voices!

You can tell that the chase is initially very enjoyable and humorous for Diesel 10 but by 1:40 he's really getting pissed off that he can't catch Thomas and co.
