Wow, JD never ceases to amaze me. Just when I think he can't get any better, he raises the bar for himself and surpasses it yet again--with ease! Can't wait until he takes his solo show out on the road...happy days ahead!
JD is the best lead singer for Inxs. He just fits perfectly with the band. His voice, his stage performance, his incredible positive energy and charisma.. he truly knows how to deliver Inxs songs to people's hearts.
If Inxs don't keep him for good, they would be very, very wrong.
As for JD, he's got fantastic solo album and he'll put the world on fire with his original songs, that's for sure. He'll show everyone how amazing artist he is.

If that is all they can do then they need to put INXS to rest as they should have done in 1997. There will never be another Michael and we all know this but to go around and keep singing songs from the 80's and 90's makes no sense to me. It just tells me that without Michael there is no talent and no reason to continue.
He sounds damn good for a supposedly effed-up cokehead. They knew JD was a wild card when they chose him. But that is what they needed and STILL need. He's the only one has the vocal chops AND the raw sexuality to hold his own against Michael's legacy. This wacky idea of all different singers doing old INXS songs could really be the nail in the coffin for them. Think twice, guys................

Ya know...sometimes people cross the paths of others in this life for a REASON. JDs path to front this legendary band..was..well...fate. Just listen to the CHEMISTRY..look at the crowd. You can FEEL it even through this little video. Bands always say they WANT a frontman..then bitch when its exactly what they get. JD is the :only " man for the slot and thats pretty apparent based on what I just felt. They are magical together though JD is magical anyway. What a talent !!!

...who knows what will happen with INXS, JD was 'starving' and homeless and featured often on Entertainment Tonight Canada with him telling what happened to him. INXS just dropped him at an airport overseas and said, 'k...see ya' after end of tour.
I guess Chris Murphy won't be managing anymore.....didn't he say if JD performed with them he was out??? Oh yeah I forgot, it was all a bunch of hoarseshit to get people interested again.....I like INXS...but not much respect left for a band that is so in it for the CASH GRAB!!

Many people would disagree with you. Obviously JD is not Hutch. But if they were to only play new songs, they would play only an 11 song set.
That doesn't seem to make more sense than your theory of 5 guys retiring from music who love what they do for a living.

They couldn't not let JD, the Canadian, sing - it's his home country. But, I hope this is the end of this.
The remaining original members can do what they like however, they do it while losing respect and credibility and dishonoring Hutchence's memory.
JD has also shown that he will go to the media and tell stories to get attention...is that the kind of person they want to hang with?
