I understand Smoke becoming a traitor, him moving out of the Grove and not helping during the 'Drive-By' mission was always suspect to me. But Ryder just didn't make any sense to me. He was always loyal, and even though he was a ball-buster, him and CJ were good friends. He was one of my favorite characters, and I would've preferred him going out in a blaze of glory, taking one last puff while helping CJ out.

But seriously, he nor Ryder should have been traitors. They were CJ's childhood friends and it just felt so empty that they had to get killed.

In the beginning, he's all like "Grove Street!" and "you down?" and calls CJ a buster for leaving LS and then he turns into a buster just like CJ. In my opinion, Ryder's betrayal just didn't fit his unique personality. He was the realest gangsta out of all. I was expecting him to finally quit the smoke and work with CJ in the story, finally giving him props at the end. That would've been great
