Compare this clip with Gulzar's Meera singing the same song There is a world of difference between the picturisation, music, acting of the 2 heroins etc
Closely watching, you will notice Sandhya never went out of beats while playing khartals. She is acting, lip syncing and playing khartals simultaneously. These were our film makers who got such performances out of actors. Dances by Gopi Krishan in this film have not been bettered since. No wonder V Shantaram was the first recipient of Dada Saheb Phalke Award. Vasant Desai's music in this film is par excellence. Thanks U Tube for giving us the 'second chance' of enjoyment. Thanks for uploading.
Some problem with the directions here. The right hand is holding the ' ektari' while as the left hand is holding the ' kartal' or 'chipli'. All clear now?
Uh... Yes, thank you. I'm not very good with directions, myself, seeing images backwards in my head than what they really are. ie, I'd look at a man to the right of me and recall him standing to the left of me, later.
One should not brand anyone as 'silly' without understanding the diversity. Karatala in north India is usually made in wooden frame encasing metal ringed plates which produce jingle Taal beats by moving fingers.
does anyone have this movie????if then upload it please....
