I've been to most of Western Europe and the people are generally well-mannered but wherever there's an American there's always a racket and boasting of how everything is better in America.
If I travel - I respect the country's culture and ways, I don't act like I OWN the place. I guess they just don't see that. In my university, an American student is being deported because of this kind of behaviour. He cursed at ladies in class and threatened us with 'American Marshalls' whatever that is.
