first thing you should do is get the proper education. i am going to Mesalands Community College in Tucumcari New Mexico, home of the tallest call room in the world, check out my vid. its a 2 year course to get proper start in the industry.
don't you get in troble for this.. i mean to put a movie of an inside windtubine on you tube? i was told i couldn't place pictures or movies on the internet..
Ive been thinking of going to school for this. Is it a good job? What are the ups and downs to it. Does it pay good? are u home every night? ur answer would be very helpful thanks
That is about neat--I haul Hubs for Gamesa and General Electric and my son has hauled blades-I hope to start on blades next month. Even though I am 61 years old female, I would love to be able to go up inside one of the towers just to say I did. This is history being made with the wind energy getting popular. I am proud to be a part of it.
was there some kind of break to keep the blades from turning when you were on there
computersmasher 2 years ago
yes, a main break, and a safety pin put in manually if you go out to the hub

Nice video! Thanks for the tour. You have a pretty cool job, aside from the 300 foot climb a couple times a day. Keeps you in shape though, right? ;)

I was wondering:
Where is this set of turbines located?
Why isn't the blades turning of the unit you are filming from?

I have question for you:
It is necessary that school mie for labor in order to Vestas?
ziemniaczek963 3 years ago
If you are asking if you need schooling to work at Vestas, I believe they will train you on the job.

If may I yourself ask:
How money earn money in Vestas??
ziemniaczek963 3 years ago
WOW the view is amazing.
I haven't visited a wind turbine yet, but hopefully sometime this year at the Oregon Gorge.
How often do you need to climb up a day?
oh and what happens when nature calls?
Cool video!

Thanks, yes it is quite nice once you get up there. We usually only climbed once or twice a day.
You either sweat too much too need to, or bring a bottle.
Otherwise you have to climb down.
