Mac is better than PC purely because Apple supports their own operating system on their hardware. PC's GENERALLY use Windows operating system because it is a far superior operating system to both MAC OS and Linux. If Microsoft were to create a specialised hardware (like Apple) to support Windows, it would be far superior to Mac. As they do not, Mac is better than PC.

So stop hating Mac's are priced highly for a reason.

People need to quit hating. PC's have their thing and Mac do too. Mac's are 100% better for music application, photography and video production. PC's are great for gaming and modification. Mac's don't need to be modded all the time because they can keep doing what they do for a long time. Games change and require more updates FAR more than pro creative apps do, so it makes sense to want to be able to modify extensively to suit that need.

you know, I've been trying to figure out why mac fanboys go nuts for macs, but I cant seem to find any good arguments for it. Whenever I come across an article, the person basically just says "macs are cool!". I've used windows for as long as I've used computers, so I'm not too familiar with mac. But I did use one at school, and it didn't seem to be too much different.

So, since you seem like you have an unbiased opinion on them, maybe you can help me out.

@chadd990 Really they aren't much different now days as far as general usability. It seems in my experience that Mac runs a bit more stable and is far less prone to malware. Thats of course for just day to day basic computing. If you want to buy 1 computer to do basic computing and you want it to last a really long time with little to no maintenance, Mac is the way to go, at least in my experience. PC's are ok too for day to day stuff, but they seem to bog down quite a bit over time.

@chadd990 Like I said before though, they both have faults, Mac has a crazy price point, but when you get down to it its really not that bad. I have had the same iBook since 2001 and it hasn't had a single issue at all. I currently use a 2008 MacBook Pro as my daily computer, and its the same thing, no issues at all. However PC's that I have bought in the same time frames for much less quit working after only a year or two. Like I said though, when it comes to gaming and programming PC is it.
