That 2nd goal by Victor Igbinoba is still one of the best goals in any World Cup both junior and senior levels. The way he collected the ball and used speed to beat two defenders, and sending a high lob over the goalkeeper without missing the target is pretty spectacular.

@egypt 80, most of them went to school with my brother who is 14years older than me. A chunk of these players went to Ibadan Grammar School with my brother back then. They were around 14 to 16years of age back then. Example is Bala Alli. Tunde Disu was their coach.

Nduka Ugbade, their captain, participated in 1994 African Nations Cup, meaning 9 years later, so do your Maths well and stop making a fool of yourself on a public forum. Another example is Kanu Nwakwo, who participated in U-17 Championship in Japan in 1993, and till date, is playing active football. Food for your thought.

So young? They were "short men"! I will not be foolish enough to believe that they were really U-17. I asked one of the players 20 years after China '85 how old he was then. Believe me it was far from 17! Phillip Osondu is a very funny example of passing off a short man for a 17 year old.
