  • Not the Poets I remember! George Gallacher's voice was one of the most distinctive things about the original Poets - he was a terrific singer.

  • The Blue version is infinitely superior.

  • Sorry people. The Poets had broken up before this. Not one original here, and not a patch on 1965 line-up.

  • @Hugechurbes Hi, Don't think the band broke up as such, it simply evolved until eventually all the originals had gone.When Andy Mulvey replaced George Gallacher, the band didn't break up, the line up changed. It happens in most bands

  • @ultras1uk Call it what you like, but no no Dawson, no Gallacher, ....I could go on. The music changed at the same time, so for me, the Poets no longer existed. As I said, only the name continued. Just listen to how the music shifted. The Poets really had gone in all but name.

  • Great stuff Tumblerpigeon. Much appreciated. Brings back loads of memories. Much prefer the Blue version of Someone though.
