As a former athlete, I'm here to tell you you're wrong. She only fights occasionally, and only has to make weight occasionally. Keeping her body at an artificially low body fat all the time is unnecessary, unhealthy, and stupid. Therefore, she does not do it.
Fat is good. The body uses it for insulation, lubrication, and shock absorbers. I'm actually trying to put more on at the moment, because I don't have enough, and my quality of life suffers for it.
